Story
Located in Memphis, Tennessee but we do adopt out of state for the right fit. From Bonnie's foster mom: Bonnie is one of the sweetest dogs I have ever fostered. Everyone that has met her has fallen in love with her. She is a cuddle bug and a velcro dog. All she wants to do is be with her human. She enjoys dog chews, toys, and treats but her favorite thing in the world is attention from her human. She loves men, women, and kids. She is always happy, gentle, and appropriately behaved with whomever she meets. She walks well on a leash and really enjoys walking in the park. Bonnie loves car rides. She gets in the car well on her own, but is a little afraid when jumping out, probably due to her vision impairment. She is calm in the car and always falls asleep. She has done great with other dogs she has met in my home and at the shelter. However, she needs a patient dog because due to the lack of vision in her right eye, she tends to bump into other dogs when walking or playing. She seems to really enjoy following my dog around the yard and just doing whatever he is doing. Bonnie is a medium energy dog. She is very playful with other dogs and is also very vocal in her play. She doesn't always pick up on social cues from other dogs, but she does take corrections well. All in all, Bonnie is a wonderful, intelligent, social dog. She has so much love to give and is so deserving of a forever family that will return that love. Story
Location: Nashville, TN but can be adopted out of state for the perfect fit. Longtime resident, Gunner, is still looking for his forever family, and knows they are out there but needs your help finding them! Gunner has been in rescue for over 3 years. He needs his own family to love and them to devote their time in spoiling him. He loves to snuggle and be around his human. He is a strong boy and needs a confident adopter. He is unaltered at this time due to past health issues. He was diagnosed with a severe case of heartworms and was listed on the euthanasia list back in May 2020. He has since had treatment and is now heartworm negative. Unfortunately, the impact to his lungs and heart are irreversible but you would never know based on his activity level. He lives and plays like any other dog. Gunner is: UTD on vaccinations On monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Heartworm Negative Requires a fenced in yard; he loves to sunbath. Loves attention and snuggles. Enjoys peanut butter, coconut oil, eggs, and bananas. Likes car rides, walks on a leash and is strong but takes corrections well. Knows sit, kennel and bedtime. Kennel trained; he goes there more often than not when given the choice. Accepting of a female companion his size, with the RIGHT introduction. NO small dogs, male dogs, or cats. NO small children (12+): he is a bull in a china shop and doesn't realize his size when he gets excited while playing. Gunner is deserving of his own family. Although his foster mom is amazing, it's time for him to find his perfect forever family. He is currently in a rotation at his foster mom's house as she does have male dogs and small dogs. Story
Location is Tennessee Hazel is a 1 yo pibble weighing approximately 55 lbs. She is full of personality and has a heart as big as her hippo head. Hazel had a rough start in life but when she came to rescue in February, at 9 mos old, all that changed. Hazel was born with luxating patellas in both knees therefore she could not straighten her back legs. She walked and ran like a frog and lived her first 9 mos like this. She was also suffering from a severe UTI and skin infection that had gone untreated for months. Hazel’s time in rescue has been spent tackling her health issues and learning to be a dog. She has been a champ through it all! She is a smart girl, so she has learned a lot very quickly. She has undergone 2 knee surgeries, attended physical therapy twice a week and she’s had numerous vet visits to tackle the horrendous UTI, skin infection and also had her teeth cleaned at only 9mos old. Now that all of that is behind her, she is looking for her forever! Hazel loves all humans however due to her size, strength and energy level, she would do best in an adult home with no small children. Hazel also loves all animals but would do best with dogs her size. Hazel is crate trained and has never had an accident while crated. While in foster, Hazel has only been crated when no-one is home and that is rare so she hasn’t been crated often. Hazel has learned to negotiate; she gets a really good treat when she enters her crate on her own now. Hazel is potty trained; she will come to you or go to the door when she has to potty. Hazel sleeps through the night in her own bed beside her foster mom’s bed and has no issues. Hazel loves being rewarded with treats, hugs, kisses and lots of “good girl”. Hazel loves to play with her toys and has no problem sharing with her foster sisters. Hazel is more submissive than anything when around other dogs, but she can get a little rough in playtime because she thinks she’s a chihuahua.

Story
Hey everyone! My name is Midas, but most people call me Bear. Partly because I look like Brother Bear from the Berenstain Bears kids books, but mostly because I am as sweet and cuddly as I am handsome! I love to snuggle with my people and sometimes hope you mistake me for a lapdog because that’s my favorite place to get belly rubs - while laying across your lap! I love movie night and just hanging out, but I’m also up for walks or hikes if that’s what you want to do. I’m really good on a leash and I am learning off leash recall. I am a master at sit and will continue to learn more commands! Did I tell you I will do anything for cheese cubes or other cheese flavored treats??? Foster mom says I must have been a mouse in a previous life!! I probably shouldn’t be around free-range chickens or cats since I like to chase them more than they like to be chased and since I’m 70 lbs of hunk, I am like a bull in a China shop. If you put chickens in a well secured coop or run, I am fine. Just don’t leave your fresh eggs laying around, they are mighty tasty to me! I’m a very good boy when meeting other people. My foster mom makes me sit before they can interact with me, and I do because I know I’ll get belly rubs for it! I’m fully crate, and house trained, but definitely prefer to be out and about. I love to go on car rides, and I am a good boy if you need to go into the store to get me more cheese. I’ve met my foster brothers and sisters through my crate and now, outside of the crate and I like them. I'm a slow intro kind of guy because I get excited when I meet others and not everyone likes my joy energy. I’m currently in Colorado but Battle for the Bully will adopt out of state for the right fit. If you are the right fit for Midas, please complete an application at the below link: https://www.battleforthebully.org/adoption

Story
Roxy is about 7-8 years old and I have had her since a pup. She is full of energy and has the sweetest demeanor. She loves to run and play and would be best with a fenced in yard. She is a big baby and sometimes a scaredy cat (dog?) but she loves everyone and everything and doesn’t realize how big she is sometimes! She currently lives with another small dog and children so she is great with them, sometimes her high energy can be too much for the little ones though!

Story
Capone is really a good dog but he has some behavioral traits. Some people he just doesn’t like and some children he doesn’t like. I think with some extra training and someone to spend time with him, he would be a great addition to a family.

Story
Allow me to introduce you to our beloved pit bull, Bruce! He is a sweet and gentle soul who adores spending time with his family. Bruce is a laid-back pup who relishes taking long naps in the sun and going for leisurely walks around the neighborhood. Bruce is a true people-pleaser and his top priority is to always make his humans happy. He is incredibly loyal and will always be by your side, ready for a cuddle or a belly rub. Despite his tough exterior, Bruce has a heart of gold and is a true ambassador for his breed. Playing with his toys, especially his favorite squeaky ball, is one of Bruce's favorite activities. He also loves meeting new people and making new dog friends at the park. Bruce is a true gem and we feel immensely lucky to have him in our lives. ##1819412##

Story
found starved and stumbling in the cold rain... Has hip issues and stumbles due to it. Can't see well nor can he hear super good either. Was in terrible shape when I rescued him. He is walking much better, but there is a strong possibility he will still stumble a bit due to hip dysplaysia. He has had all shots, but has not been neutered due to his condition and age. If he is to be around other dogs, we will have him neutered prior to leaving us. He has the sweetest attitude but we feel he has never experianced real love and what it feels like. this boy deserves some big hugs, good food, and kindness. We will always keep up with Joey. He just needs a cuddle human at nights and likes to be out during the day.
