Belikin was found wandering by himself on a beach in Belize...just a tiny little puppy skin and bones..pitiful. The American couple who found him couldn't leave him behind so they found a way to bring him home to Tennessee with them. He has grown into a beautiful dog who is very affectionate and loves being with people. He is house-trained, e-collar trained and leash trained. He travels well in a car. Due to Belikin's rough start where he was basically nearly starved to death, he has always been very possessive of his food and understandedly so. He has been hand fed and will allow the nice gentleman who found him to take his food way with no issues. However, he does not like other animals around when he is eating. The family who saved him has 3 other older dogs, 3 cats and 2 small children living with him so unfortunately the current living situation isn't ideal for Belikin. Belikin is such a loving pet but would be best as the only dog in his home due to his possessiveness. Hi, my name is Ruger. I am 4yrs old. I am a Pitbull mix. I was adopted from Animal Allies Rescue Foundation (AARF) when I was 14wks old. I am house broken and spend most my days inside laying around sleeping. I do enjoy the outside but you have to limit me in hot weather because of my white coat, I can get sunburnt and allergies. I love to cuddle and give kisses. I love to play but am overall very chill and lazy. I have two other dogs I live with, which I enjoy playing and cuddling with. Sweet, energetic, Jupiter is ready for adoption. She is a special needs girl who will need continued medical care. When she came to the rescue she had virtually no hair due to Demodex Mange, Heart worm positive, and a severe eye infection caused by Entropion (which is when the eyelids roll inward and the eye lashes are constantly rubbing the eye). She has been treated for mange, been spayed, and has had multiple surgeries to fix her eyes. We do not know if her hair will ever fully come back. She is receiving treatment for heart worms. She will need to continued treatment with eye medication due to now having dry eye. We have also discovered that she suffers from allergies. This will require continued allergy injections, RX food, and regular vet visits for skin issues. We know its a lot, but we simply can't give up on her. She does well with some dogs,, but would love to be spoiled and live her life as an only pet. She does great with the 3yr old in her foster home.

Penny here, I'm petite pitty female that landed a sweet foster home after having my pups at AC. My pups have grown up to not need me anymore so I have a little anxiety. I love people a bit more than I probably should which has caused me to have some separation anxiety when my people leave. I do well in a sturdy travel kennel or a sturdy wire kennel when I'm left at home to keep me safe. When I was younger I probably didn't get to practice much manners with others. I have played well eventually with a couple of male dogs. I may need to be only dog since not many others understand my harsh playing and lack of boundaries. I do however love little kids and have been around a little one as young as one with supervision. I'm intense lover and would really enjoy a home to call my own.
