I have tested heartworm positive. This means I have a parasite and need treatment. While my friends at HSNBA desperately want to help me, the shelter is too stressful an environment to undertake treatment and treatment itself is very expensive. The shelter has a few options to help with treatment, and if I steal your heart you should talk with them and your vet about what my treatment is like. He is located in Canyon Lake Texas. Contact Sunni Patrice Stalbird 830 237 8588 • 4 years • 77 pounds • Not crate trained • Potty trained, yes • Temperament is low • Tolerant of all other dogs • Not known if he gets along with cats • Good with kids? Yes • Commands doggo knows: Sit, Stay and fine-tuning Come • Any allergies or other medical issues? None Dozer is a total love bug and enjoys real heartfelt human hugs. He enjoys taking walks and does very well on a leash…other than when he sees a deer because he enjoys chasing them. For “The Doze” it is a game of chase and a competitive race as he would never hurt one. In fact, he touches nose to beak with his two bird friends, they are Blue & Gold Macaw parrots. You see, Doze loves all living creatures no matter the type. Dozer is always excited to meet new people and is very gentle around small children and the elderly. He can be a clown and will have you laughing out loud with his antics. You can continue to enjoy peace and quiet because this handsome gentle creature is not a barker. Honestly, he is basically perfect and will do best with someone willing to take him on daily walks and new adventures! This heavy-weight guy has a heart of gold, loves to snuggle in your bed and shares lots of kisses. When he plays with small dogs it is entertaining to watch because this big galoot is tender and manages to magically dance (as if on tippy toes) around his playmate like a ballerina! He actually gently tosses a toy to his playmate(s) allowing the other to have it. This dog knows all about sharing toys! Dozer enjoys all toys and especially squeaky balls! He knows how to play fetch and will return the item to the thrower 9 times out of ten. His favorite treats are bully sticks, large natural bones from the local feed store and “Three Dog Bakery” goodies, available on Amazon. However, more than anything else he prefers a good belly rub and doesn’t care if you use your hand or foot in doing so. The only thing he isn’t comfortable with is a bath or shower but he certainly enjoys both rivers and lakes as well as exploring the world around him! More than anything in this world he simply wants love and a forever home and he certainly deserves it.

Story
I have had Eden since she was a puppy. She was born in January 2020. She is such a good girl. She loves playing fetch and cuddling. She sheds a lot but it is manageable as long as she is groomed regularly. She knows the basic commands and is very sweet. She cannot go to a home with other dogs, which is the reason she is being rehomed. Cats can be in the house as long as they are not the kind that aggravate dogs. She is territorial, and protective of those she loves. *i will fund shots/spaying if that is a concern. please send regular updates of her.

Story
Meet Petunia, the 3 year old Bull Terrier/Cane Corso mix whose infectious happiness lights up every room. This spirited canine is looking for her forever home and is overjoyed to be surrounded by her loving foster family. Petunia's perpetual joy is most evident when she sees her family, her tail wagging with boundless enthusiasm. One remarkable aspect of Petunia's story is her remarkable compatibility with other dogs. She effortlessly forges friendships with fellow canines, creating a harmonious atmosphere wherever she goes. Not just limited to her furry companions, Petunia is a natural around children of all ages, displaying a gentle and playful demeanor that makes her an ideal family pet. Despite a challenging start in life, Petunia's indomitable spirit shines through. Discovered in a field as a stray, she bore the scars of past hardships - two dislocated hips and a shattered left back ankle. Remarkably, these injuries had already healed, and Petunia now navigates her world with grace. Although surgery is deemed too risky, her resilience allows her to walk and even run, proving that love and care can overcome adversity. Beyond her physical strength, Petunia is a model of good behavior. House trained and affectionate, she revels in pets, cuddles, and the pure bliss of tummy rubs. Petunia's journey from a field to a loving home is a testament to her resilience, and she serves as an inspiration to all who cross her path. She is house trained, microchipped, fully vaccinated, & spayed. She is being fostered in Seguin, TX and is ready for her new home. To see more pictures and videos, copy and paste this link. Story
We found Baxter when he was just a puppy and he has brought so much joy to our life. He is such a good boy but was unfortunately abused before he came into our lives and with that came some behavioral issues. He is very anxious and will warm up to women pretty quickly, but has a hard time with men. He also cannot be around other animals or young children. Our daughter is two and he has continued to show aggression to her to the point that we just can’t risk it. He will growl and show his teeth and has snapped once, but has never actually bitten her or anyone. It breaks our heart to have to rehome him because he truly is the best boy and is so deserving of love. We hope that we can find him the perfect home through this process.
