Story
Hey there, I`m Major! I`m just over a year old and full of life. I`m friendly, goofy, and always up for a good laugh. I love playing around, especially with other dogs - they`re my best pals! Kids are pretty cool too, they have this energy that matches mine. I`m always ready for a fun game or a sweet cuddle. Life`s a playground and I`m eager to explore it with a family that loves a good belly laugh as much as a heartfelt snuggle. Adopt me and let`s make some joyful memories together!

Story
Draco is a 4-year-old dog who was surrendered to the shelter when his family had to move. Known as `The Couch King` in his previous home, Draco enjoys lounging and relaxing in comfort. He didn`t live with other animals, so his compatibility with other dogs is unknown, but a meet-and-greet can help assess if he`d get along with your current furry friend. He was able to live with a cat and did fantastic as he paid little mind to the cat. He remains a sweet and loving boy, eager to find his forever home where he can truly relax and be part of a family again.

Story
Meet Tiny !! This guy is so sweet! He’s fun loving and so tolerant. He’s so good with other dogs and loves to play. A great addition to most any family. Tiny is an approx 2 year old male. He currently weights 33 pounds and is full grown. When we agreed to take him in we were told he was a chihuahua….clearly he is not 😂 He seems like a mix breed likely some pittie in there. He has already been neutered, microchipped and updated on his vaccines. He is sadly heartworm positive however his treatment has already been started and is included in his adoption. Tiny LOVES other dogs. He has so far been a fantastic playmate for every dog he’s met. He can pretty much play or hang with any dog we’ve thrown at him. Big, small, hyper, chill, he’s so good with them. An awesome little playmate. He also loves to play with his people. He likes fetch, chase and anything fun. He plays hard then turns into a cuddly snuggle buddy. He has lived with kids and does great with them. He has also lived with cats and done great with them as well. He was given away by his family because he growled at the cats but only through his kennel and only while he was eating his food. Otherwise he was fine with them. Tiny seems to have spent a lot of time in his kennel before coming to us. He’s loving life with a more normal schedule. His training was a little behind for his age but it seems like no one ever taught him. He’s learning so quickly and has been such a good boy. When he arrived he seemed to think he was just supposed to just potty in the crate. After a few days of being let out regularly we are seeing a huge difference. He will still occasionally pee in there if he hasn’t been let out quick enough or is given to much water but he’s overall doing good with it. It’s rare for him to have a potty accident anymore. Tiny is great on car rides. He loves meeting anyone and everyone. He is crate trained he just doesn’t like to go in willingly sometimes. I think once he fully realizes he won’t be in there for prolonged periods of time anymore he will feel more comfortable with it. He’s new to leash training but not too bad. He’s doing well with a harness. Hes had no trouble sharing food, treats or toys with humans. We haven’t seen any issues sharing with other animals however he will growl if an animal comes near his crate when he’s eating. We just feed him separately to avoid any issues. He was thin when he arrived so he may feel he has to protect his food from other animals to get enough. Tiny really is a great little guy. He’s a great medium size boy with so much love to give. He is super sweet and loving. He would merge well into most home settings. Overall a truly awesome dog. ➡️Vet and home checks required. Located in Hampton VA. (He will need to be adopted within a 2 hour drive radius) ‼️Please message VillageDogResource@gmail.com directly with questions or to get an application. For faster response message our facebook page and you can see more photos there as well‼️

Story
Meet Storm! She came to us pregnant and with heartworms from a shelter in rural North Carolina. Since then, she's raised her puppies (who've all found homes), been spayed, and successfully treated for heartworms. Storm is a 3 years old, 48-pound American Bully who's incredibly sweet! She's currently in foster care with dogs of all sizes and is doing great. Storm also gets along well with kids, and we've introduced her to cats but she is a little to interested so NO cats. She's a bit cautious around men, preferring to stay away from them if she can (she finds comfort in her crate). If you're looking for a loving new family member, Storm is the perfect choice! Remember, adopting a dog means committing to them for life. If you're interested in adopting Storm, please don't call. Instead, fill out an online application on 4 Paws Animal Rescue's website at www.4pawz.org. We verify the care history of past and current pets to ensure the best homes for our animals. We reserve the right to approve or deny applications based on what's best for the pet. #dogsareworthit #adoptdontshop #bullymix #rescueisthebestbreed #lovedogs #dogs #dogsareacommittment

Story
Meet Hero! He was adopted but unfortunately returned. This special guy deserves another chance! Hero is a 3-year-old mix of American Pitbull and Beagle, weighing 39 lbs. He's the type of dog that gets along well with every other dog and truly thrives in their company. Hero also does well with cats and older, savvy children. He's a fan of running and has even participated in a 5k. Hero knows many commands and does best with regular training sessions. He's eager to please his humans and is already housebroken and, crate trained. Having been let down before, Hero will need some time to adjust to a new home and expectations. His new family must understand that Hero is a lifelong commitment, and they need to be dedicated to providing him with daily exercise, ongoing training, and socialization. Remember, adopting a dog means committing to them for life. If you're interested in adopting Hero, please don't call. Instead, complete an online application on 4 Paws Animal Rescue's website at www.4pawz.org. We carefully review the care history of past and current pets.
