Story
Toby is one of the best cats I’ve had in my family. We adopted him (and his buddy) as a kitten from the Atlanta Humane Society in 2019. He’s grown into a great and smart cat who loves to play and snuggle up to those he’s close to. Best times are when he’s hanging out while I work, flopping on his side when he’s happy, and laying across my legs when I’m watching tv. He had a falling out with his buddy (our other cat) about a year ago and they no longer get along. He’s anxious with visitors and kids - needing a home that’s not too busy with visitors. He will deeply love an experienced cat person and has a calm and patient presence.

Story
Meet Benji! I was targeted by the infamous "cat distribution system" while at work with one of my college students walked up to me with a tiny kitten in his hand saying he found it outside the building. Naturally, I took the kitten to make sure she would get food and proper care until I could turn her over to professional caregivers. Due to her obvious cuteness, two months have since transpired with this little diva and, while I love her, I am developing an allergy to her impacting my skin and breathing. Benji is like most kitten who love to play, but she will eventually match your energy and settle in with you calmly once she's finished her workout :) You can see she loves to fall asleep on my legs, which is just heart melting. I wish I could keep this little angel, but I'd LOVE to see her go to a home that can give her to cuddles, playtime, Zoomie space, and climbing environment of her dreams!

Story
Snow is an amazing cat. He grew up with our kids. He loves to sleep in cuddle by the feet’s at night. He is very loving and caring, but he is a scaredy cat. He loves to run and hide when guest comes. He eventually warns up to them, but takes his precious time to make new friends. We are having to give him up for adoption since our kids are older and getting busy with their HS activities and work. So, becoming harder to take care of Snow at home. You will love him, as soon as you see him. He loves to be pet on his head and cuddled up.

Story
Moreland was adopted from Furkids and was a happy in a single pet household. However, the addition of another cat and a dog has not been his cup of tea. He adore being an only and loves laps and treats very much. He’s also been known to rock a bow tie. He’s a handsome fellow, too!

Story
Meet DUSTY   :   FOSTER OR ADOPT.    He is the sweetest chuckle-headed, Short squat, sweet lug of a cat that you have ever met.  He is a hunk! So gentle, a lap sitter. ALL he wants is your attention .  He was rescued as a young, beat up and suffering teen kitten abandoned in a North Georgia rural community. He FOUND a family, which is typical, and was begging for food and help at their door. He had been attacked many times by feral cats tying to get some food. Now he is all healed, beautiful, so CLEAN, calm and lovely fur. Such a gentleman kitty! He is a bit shy, always a pensive sweet look, but comes around immediately to ask for affection.  History: He was begging at a family home where he so WANTED to come inside.  He looked mournfully sad at the window or patio door hoping to get in and FIND a family of his own.   They had two inside cats (one to many aat that), and they COULD NOT take sweet Dusty.  The family vetted him, healed, him, but unfortunately, the family had to sell the home, and could not take him.  The new buyer said they HATED cats, so Dusty was in trouble! He would have been abandoned again and starved.  AWHAR made sure it did not happen.  About Dusty - Personality:  Best Friend is a little kitten girl!  See Emma who is for adoption, too!! Very well behaved and polite! Still has that pensive look on his face, because he cannot believe his good luck and trying to fit in.  HE LIKES the other cats at the rescue cat house, NO hissing and or problems.  AND he lives with a crazy sweet kitten patiently in his room!!! He is a special cat, so sweet and PATIENT!! Ideal Home: Dusty is seeking a forever home with humans and other cats may be fine, depending upon the cat. He gets along with cool cats and sweet humans! AVAILABLE FOR FOSTER OR ADOPT! ALWAYS a trial period and we take back our cats now or in the future!!  Call/Text: 404-520-1060 for more INFO Location: A Welcome Home Animal Rescue Email: awhar09@gmail.com Visit: www.awhar.org COME meet DUSTY, you will not be disappointed!    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 10, 2025, 2:38 pm
