Story
Meet DUSTY   :   FOSTER OR ADOPT.    He is the sweetest chuckle-headed, Short squat, sweet lug of a cat that you have ever met.  He is a hunk! So gentle, a lap sitter. ALL he wants is your attention .  He was rescued as a young, beat up and suffering teen kitten abandoned in a North Georgia rural community. He FOUND a family, which is typical, and was begging for food and help at their door. He had been attacked many times by feral cats tying to get some food. Now he is all healed, beautiful, so CLEAN, calm and lovely fur. Such a gentleman kitty! He is a bit shy, always a pensive sweet look, but comes around immediately to ask for affection.  History: He was begging at a family home where he so WANTED to come inside.  He looked mournfully sad at the window or patio door hoping to get in and FIND a family of his own.   They had two inside cats (one to many aat that), and they COULD NOT take sweet Dusty.  The family vetted him, healed, him, but unfortunately, the family had to sell the home, and could not take him.  The new buyer said they HATED cats, so Dusty was in trouble! He would have been abandoned again and starved.  AWHAR made sure it did not happen.  About Dusty - Personality:  Best Friend is a little kitten girl!  See Emma who is for adoption, too!! Very well behaved and polite! Still has that pensive look on his face, because he cannot believe his good luck and trying to fit in.  HE LIKES the other cats at the rescue cat house, NO hissing and or problems.  AND he lives with a crazy sweet kitten patiently in his room!!! He is a special cat, so sweet and PATIENT!! Ideal Home: Dusty is seeking a forever home with humans and other cats may be fine, depending upon the cat. He gets along with cool cats and sweet humans! AVAILABLE FOR FOSTER OR ADOPT! ALWAYS a trial period and we take back our cats now or in the future!!  Call/Text: 404-520-1060 for more INFO Location: A Welcome Home Animal Rescue Email: awhar09@gmail.com Visit: www.awhar.org COME meet DUSTY, you will not be disappointed!    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 10, 2025, 2:38 pm

Let her show you how rewarding it is to save a life. She has so much love to give, and just needs one kind heart to say yes. Please reach out now if you can help—time is critical! Best Home Match: Angie prefers a calm home with one or two adults. She’d be happiest as your one and only (she’s a little bossy with other cats—can you blame her after street life?).   Her Journey Angie’s story is one of strength and survival: Angie’s life has been one of resilience and survival. She was abandoned not once, but twice. Originally adopted from DeKalb County Animal Control in 2023, her adopter disappeared, contact info deleted; leaving her to fend for herself OUTSIDE in a crummy apartment complex with feral cats for over a year. She had to fight for every scrap of food, often approaching kind feral feeders, desperate for a kind touch. Despite her struggles, Angie never stopped seeking love. It took our rescue team over 7 months to rescue her, but once inside, Angie immediately transformed into a loving house cat. Now, she’s ready for a real home. Health Details Age:  4 years old FIV-Positive: Angie is FIV-positive, but shows zero symptoms. She is healthy and will remain healthy with an inside life and decent food. FIV cats can live long, happy, normal lives. Rescue WILL SUPPORT ANGIE if any health issues happen (we don't expect any!) Story
Meet Gum Drop  — A Sweetheart in Need of a Loving Foster! NOTHING Beats an Orange Tabby Cat! All around the best! Seriously, this little guy is ADORABLE!  Gum Drop is as sweet as his name suggests, and he’s been through a lot. He used to wait patiently with his ginger buddy, Sal, at an apartment complex for the kind person who came daily to feed the feral cats. Sadly, Gum Drop's life was in real danger — a group of young boys had started harassing the cats last week, jumping fence, tying rope and small chains around the friendly cats among the group, and the cat feeder truly feared they would have killed him (and buddy Sal) if they’d had the chance. She yelled and they ran, but she does not know their names.  She saw them back a second time and yelled again and threated to call the police!! He had a tough life, fighting for survival, and now we want him to have a wonderful life! Thankfully, we got he out in time and into our rescue program temporarily for safety. Now, we need a kind and compassionate foster to help him take the next step toward a better life. About Gum Drop: 11 lbs of love and fluff - NOTHING BETTER THAN AN ORANGE TABBY FIV-positive, but very healthy, good healthy mouth, great temperament, easy to handle and low maintenance! FIV cats can live LONG normal lives. Big LAP sitter; you can barely get up once he settles in! A little food-obsessed (he didn’t always have enough); so CANNOT let him get overweight! LOL! Lived with other cats and was the first to the bowl! Sweet, gentle, and craving affection Currently, Gum Drop is being kept in a huge dog crate (all we have!)— not ideal for a boy who deserves to stretch out, run around, and feel safe. We are urgently looking to move him into a loving foster home where he can decompress and blossom. All expenses are covered — food, litter, vet care, everything! You just provide the love. If you can open your heart and home to Gum Drop, even temporarily, please reach out. He’s ready to love you back tenfold. Let’s get this sweet boy out of the crate and into comfort — where he belongs. Story
I found this kitten under the supermarket carts at Aldi grocery store abandoned. I’ve had him a little over a month and he looks to be about 12 weeks old. He is sweet and energetic. I would like to find a good home for him. I have a dog at home who is extremely jealous of him.

Fester loves relaxing in bed with you and brings a peaceful presence to any home. She does prefer a clean litter box, so keeping up with her space helps her feel comfortable. Story
Toby is one of the best cats I’ve had in my family. We adopted him (and his buddy) as a kitten from the Atlanta Humane Society in 2019. He’s grown into a great and smart cat who loves to play and snuggle up to those he’s close to. Best times are when he’s hanging out while I work, flopping on his side when he’s happy, and laying across my legs when I’m watching tv. He had a falling out with his buddy (our other cat) about a year ago and they no longer get along. He’s anxious with visitors and kids - needing a home that’s not too busy with visitors. He will deeply love an experienced cat person and has a calm and patient presence.
