Story
Meet Omoo: The Unique, Lovable, and Spunky Orange Tabby in Search of Her Forever Home! Omoo’s Journey: Omoo is a vibrant, intelligent and lovely tabby with a big personality. She was adopted as a young kitten and lived happily in an apartment with her owner: enjoying playtime, cuddles, and her cat tree. However, her world was turned upside down when she had to move due to her owner’s roommate’s cat allergies. She was placed in a noisy temporary home with multiple dogs, which was overwhelming for her little heart to handle. AWHAR offered assistance, and Honey is now adjusting well in a new, calmer foster environment. She’s back to her playful self, having a blast with other cats, and is ready to find a loving, permanent home. About Omoo: Breed: Rare and unique female orange tabby (Only 1 out of 6 orange cats are female!) Personality: Spunky, playful, spirited, and sweet Favorite Activities: Chasing a laser pointer, playing with toys, having her head scratched and being close to you Why You’ll Love Omoo: Playful and Fun: Honey loves to race around, play with toys, and interact with her environment. Sweet and Affectionate: She enjoys being near you and will add a lot of joy and energy to your home. Beautiful and Unique: Her orange tabby coat is rare and she’s a stunning cat with a big personality. What Omoo Needs: A Quiet Home: She would thrive in a household without dogs. A Loving Owner: Someone who can appreciate her playful nature and give her the attention she loves. A Trial Basis: AWHAR ensures that all adoptions are on a trial basis to ensure it’s the perfect fit for both Honey and her new family. Story
Meet Miss Angie – needs a Foster and Rescue will pay $200/month for 3 months.  She is a Beautiful, Resilient Beyond Measure, and Friendly Tabby Girl! She loves to be petted, will sit quietly on the sofa with you, head butt, and be a great pet. She needs a kind heart willing to give her a chance. VERY healthy, but FIV positive - had to fight for any food on the street and was obviously bitten!  Right now she is with our small rescue and is stuck in a room by herself.  Very lonely and doesn't deserve it. She LOVES people. Miss Angie is a stunning gray-striped and white tabby, tall and strong. Her sweet, expressive face and dark eyelines, and gentle personality are sure to capture your heart. Why You’ll Adore Angie Smart & Affectionate: Angie knows her name and her favorite humans! She’ll come running at the sound of your voice once she bonds with you. Loving Companion: She adores head rubs, sitting quietly by your side, and giving sweet head butts to show her affection. Grateful for Indoor Life: After surviving on the streets, Angie treasures the comfort and love of a safe home. Her Journey Angie’s story is one of strength and survival: Angie’s life has been one of resilience and survival. She was abandoned not once, but twice. Originally adopted from DeKalb County Animal Control, her adopter disappeared, leaving her to fend for herself on the streets for over a year. While living among feral cats, she had to fight for every scrap of food, often approaching kind feeders, desperate for a kind touch. Despite her struggles, Angie never stopped seeking love. It took our team over 7 months to rescue her, but once inside, Angie quickly transformed into a loving house cat. Now, she’s ready for her forever home—or a foster family willing to show her kindness and care. Despite her rough past, she has nothing but love to give. We want to give her a chance! Health Details Age: 3 or 4 years old FIV-Positive: Angie is FIV-positive, but shows zero symptoms. She is healthy otherwise. FIV cats can live long, happy, normal lives and can safely coexist with non-FIV cats. Spayed & Microchipped FELV Feline Leukemia Negative Vaccinations: Fully up-to-date Health: Excellent teeth! What Angie Needs A loving, secure indoor home; she is low maintenance. An owner willing to appreciate her resilience and give her the attention she craves. Angie would do best in a one cat household.  She is fairly assertive with other cats and eats their food having starved before!  How to Help Angie Find Her Happy Ending Are you ready to be the hero who gives this beautiful girl the love and comfort she’s been waiting for? Email (Preferred): awhar09@gmail.com Call/Text Janet: 404-520-1060 Visit: www.awhar.org Miss Angie deserves a second chance at happiness. Could you be her forever family? Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Scully was removed from a home where he was being starved and physically abused daily. He was taken to Planned Pethood in August of 24 and was neutered, given his rabies vaccine and dewormed. He was treated last month for pancreatitis, and is now well. He is the most affectionate cat that I’ve ever seen. He would prefer to cuddle up next to you 24/7. The only issue I’ve had at all is that sometimes when I go to leave the room, after I’ve been giving him attention, he will attack my wrist or ankle. It’s definitely more like a play attack. He doesn’t bite, but his claws seem to get me every time. The vet believes he does this because of past trauma and being abandoned so many times in his 2-3 years. I would totally keep him, but I have 3 Great Dane who are not fans. I feel like Scully has probably experienced enough trauma in his short life. I want him to have a quiet place to unwind from his horrible experiences past. Looking for a relaxing, patient and loving forever home.

Story
I adopted him from my boss who’s daughter couldn’t keep him in her apartment. He is very affectionate and warms up to people very quickly. He has been around dogs but he does take a long time to warm up to them. He is great with kids and other cats. He also is very curious and loves to explore.

Story
"Scooter is a friendly cat who gets along with all ages, especially children (he recognizes people's age!). He enjoys head and back scratches but avoid his belly unless you're experienced. Though energetic and active during certain times of the day, he's quiet most of the time. He needs at least two rooms to roam.Scooter loves interactive play, and you'll find new ways to engage with him as you bond. Tricky tasks like feeding meds, cleaning ears, and trimming nails require quickness, as he dislikes being restrained but will tolerate it briefly. As a middle-aged cat, his healthcare needs will increase, so we hope you're an experienced adopter who can provide the necessary care and support."

Story
Smoky is truly the perfect cat. He’s so affectionate and attentive, always listening and wanting to be near people. He loves to cuddle, lounge on your lap, and snuggle up next to you when you’re having a lazy day in bed. He’s a rescue, so I’m not entirely sure of his exact age, but the vet estimates he’s around 3-4 years old. Smoky is playful, social, and thrives on human interaction. He needs a home with people around—whether that’s a big family or just someone who can spend quality time with him. He’s been through a lot, coming from an abusive home, so things like yelling and even brooms make him very nervous. The only reason I’m letting Smoky go is that my significant other is very allergic, and they’ll be moving in with me soon. It breaks my heart, but I know Smoky deserves a loving home where he’ll get the attention and care he needs. If you’re looking for a sweet, social cat to join your family, please consider giving my sweet boy a forever home.
