I found this kitten under the supermarket carts at Aldi grocery store abandoned. I’ve had him a little over a month and he looks to be about 12 weeks old. He is sweet and energetic. I would like to find a good home for him. I have a dog at home who is extremely jealous of him.

Story
Toby is one of the best cats I’ve had in my family. We adopted him (and his buddy) as a kitten from the Atlanta Humane Society in 2019. He’s grown into a great and smart cat who loves to play and snuggle up to those he’s close to. Best times are when he’s hanging out while I work, flopping on his side when he’s happy, and laying across my legs when I’m watching tv. He had a falling out with his buddy (our other cat) about a year ago and they no longer get along. He’s anxious with visitors and kids - needing a home that’s not too busy with visitors. He will deeply love an experienced cat person and has a calm and patient presence.

Story
Name: Carol Ann Age: 8 months Color: White with soft gray patches Eyes: Warm, watchful, and quietly hopeful Personality: Affectionate, intelligent, sensitive, and deeply loyal Description: Carol Ann was the first one into the light, we thought he was a girl, the name stuck. He owns it and as long as you're calling, he's happy. He’s honestly the most loving cat I've ever met. He will try to give you kisses like a human, he will request that you put the phone down and live him with both hands. This cat's heart is so big, it breaks my heart to have to rehome him. He's so smart and his fur is super soft. I promise you you regret adopting him, he's an awesome cat. Ideal Home: Someone calm and affectionate, who sees the beauty in a soft gaze and a loving cat. Carol Ann would thrive with a loving human, a gentle sibling, or both. He’s not flashy, he’s forever.

Story
Meet Texas Pete (Action Superstar) Texas Pete — The Spicy Superstar! 5 months old - Silky & shiny fur - Brave, brilliant, and full of heart Meet Texas Pete, the little cowboy with a big personality and a heart of gold. He and his siblings found themselves, through no fault of their own, in a rural shelter facing euthanasia. But fate (and a quick rescue mission!) had other plans. We pulled them just in time, and Texas Pete has been showing everyone what it means to make the most of a second chance. At first, he and his siblings were shy, unsure of what to make of humans. But Pete, ever the brave one, was the first to decide that people aren’t so bad after all. His confidence helped the others come out of their shells, too, he’s that natural leader everyone loves to follow. Now, Texas Pete is a certified superstar. He’s playful, energetic, and the first to come running the moment you pick up a feather toy. He’s always ready to show off his ninja jumps — yes, the kind that defy gravity — and he’s convinced he should be working as a professional action model. In between his stunts, Pete makes time for his daily routines: following you into the bathroom every morning to make sure you’re doing okay, sleeping in bed with you at night, and demanding a fair share of cuddles and head scratches. He’s also ridiculously smart. Food puzzles? Solved. Treats? Oh, he’ll do anything for them — and he’s not shy about training you in the art of snack delivery. He loves watching Cat TV and even enjoys playing tablet games for cats (yes, he’s tech-savvy). He’s also learning to walk on a harness and leash — though he’s pretty sure his foster mom is the one being trained. Texas Pete is a gentle soul with kittens, grooming them and acting like the best big brother ever. He loves other cats, adores attention, and thrives on companionship. He’s silky soft, loves being brushed, and even tolerates nail trims and teeth brushing like a little gentleman. He’s the complete package — playful, affectionate, curious, confident, and oh-so-loving. Texas Pete is still a kitten and thrives on companionship, thus he needs to be adopted with one of his siblings or into a home with another playful cat to match his energy and keep his big heart full. Here is some information why we have this policy: Two kittens are better than one For a pair of kittens we apply a $25 discount from each adoption fee. Pete are estimated to be 4.5 mo old as of Oct 2025 and fully vetted: neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, defleaed, and microchipped. He tested negative for FIV and FeLV and heartworms Check out more photos and videos of Pete here: Pete Photos To meet Pete, start by filling out an application here: Adoption Application Questions? info@littlelivesatl.org

Story
Meet Socrates The Fearless Leader With Endless Questions If curiosity had a face, it would be Socrates. Born in a homeless camp to their resilient mom Era, Socrates and his siblings entered the world surrounded by hardship. After a devastating fire destroyed the camp, these tiny survivors were rescued at just 4 weeks old, still blue-eyed and learning whether humans could be trusted. Socrates didn’t hesitate long. He walked right up and asked, “So… what’s next?” Personality: Bold, Brave, and Born to Lead Socrates is the clear leader of the group. He is fearless, confident, and always the first to explore something new. New room? First in. New toy? Already claimed. New human? Already greeting you. While the other kittens eventually collapse into a cuddle puddle after hours of play, Socrates keeps going — exploring, investigating, learning. He’s the most independent thinker of the bunch, happily entertaining himself when needed, yet always choosing to come back for affection. Socrates needs to know what you’re doing at all times. Cooking? He’s supervising. Cleaning? He’s helping. Sitting down? He’s already there. He is mesmerized by anything new and thrives on enrichment — toys, food puzzles, kitten TV, and interactive play. He’s endlessly happy, tail up, eyes bright, and always ready for the next adventure. Socrates adores his baby brother Cicero and would love to be adopted with him. He’s protective, playful, and endlessly patient — the best big brother. That said, Socrates truly loves everyone and would also do beautifully in a home with another playful kitten who can match his energy and curiosity. He’s social, affectionate, and confident in new environments — a kitten who makes himself at home wherever he goes. Despite his independence and bravery, Socrates is deeply affectionate. He seeks attention, loves being involved, and wants to be part of every moment. He’s the kind of kitten who makes you laugh, follows you everywhere, and fills your home with joy. Socrates must be adopted together with his bonded sibling Cicero. Here is some information about why we have this policy: Two kittens are better than one For a pair of kittens we apply a $25 discount from each adoption fee. Check out more photos and videos of Socrates here: Socrates Photo album Socrates is estimated to be 3 mo old as of Jan 5 2025 and fully vetted: neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, defleaed, and microchipped. Story
I found Kuro in April on Cascade Road when he was only a few weeks old. He was tiny, with his eyes and ears still closed, crying and crawling into the street late at night. I stopped traffic, picked him up, and took him with me. He was cold and hungry, so I rushed to an emergency vet for supplies and kept him warm and fed. He's been my companion ever since. Kuro is a fully indoor kitten who is very social, playful, and affectionate, and he has no experience with other animals. He’s never worn a collar and doesn’t do well with noisy bell collars, he thinks anything with a bell is a toy. Unfortunately, Im moving and won't be able to take him with me. I'll include his favorite blanket, his latest vet documents, and some of his toys, and I'm looking for a loving, experienced cat home that can give him the same care and love he’s always known.
