Story
She came from a broken, abusive home where a child broke her tail. She arrived at my house as a baby, skittish and scared. Now she's almost 15 years old. She's not a lap cat, and she used to be aggressive, but then I got her fixed, and now she's a whole different cat. She's loving, but it takes her a while to warm up. She's not good with kids, and normally will run and hide if anyone new comes into the house. She is very loving and looks for attention when she gets to know you, which doesn't take very long. She has some sort of PTSD! Other than that, I wouldn't say it's a good idea to pick her up, but she looks for love and will come to get pets from you. She definitely favors women over men. I have two teenage boys, and she loves them, so maybe not all men. But if any man walks into my house, she'll run and hide and won't come near them for a while. She has hyperthyroidism and I can’t afford it anymore!

Story
Hello, my name is Spooky and I am a 10-month-old neutered male. I have been with KC for over 4 months now, but am finally ready for my forever home! I had a rough start to life, living in a colony of cats under a shed, where ultimately I sustained a deep eye injury, resulting in its removal. This injury brought me a lot of pain in my first few months of life, so I am happy to now be pain-free. My foster mama tells me I look really cute with one eye too! I am so happy I was rescued, because I now have a new lease on life. Because my life started out very stressful, it does take me some time to warm up. But, with time and patience, I am actually the most playful, loving and silly little guy. Once I learn that you won’t hurt me, I love to be pet, scratched behind my ears and will even purr & drool to show you how happy I am. I absolutely love to play! Even though I have been through a lot in my short life, I am still just a kitten, and it shows when toys come around!! I love to chase strings, chew on chew toys and capture anything that makes noises!! I am not picky with my food at all, I am just so happy to have a constant and full meal every day. I absolutely adore other cats, and chirp like a bird when I meet one! While humans I tend to be a bit skeptical of at first, cats I love right away. I would do best in a home with at least 1 other friendly cat to help show me the ropes. Ideally, I would love a human who is home a lot, so I can learn to trust them faster. The more time you spend with me, the easier it is for me to feel safe and comfortable. Things I need most are time and patience with a loving family who knows it will pay off once I settle in and feel safe! I know I will be the best companion for a loving family. I have so much love to give.

Story
My name is Boss and I am a 2 to 4 yr old male. Sadly, my owner cannot keep me because we are not all getting along some of the cats do not like me since I was the new kid on the block. It was only fair that she would try to find me another home. I did test positive for FIV but I am in great health And can have a long healthy life ahead of me with annual exams. I’m a very playful guy and I’m very loving and affectionate. I’m great with children. I’m hoping it won’t be long for me to find my forever home to know me is to love me.

Story
Hi, I’m Ellie. I’m a 3-year-old female cat currently in a foster home in greater Boston area. I love quiet corners where I can watch the world softly. I’m quite the thinker, you know? My days are filled with gentle play and little adventures around my cozy nook. I might be a bit shy at first, but give me a little time, and I’ll show you my goofy side. I’m looking for someone who appreciates a sweet, mellow companion. If you’re looking for a gentle soul to add warmth to your home, I’m your girl. Let’s make our own quiet, happy world together. ats can live up to 20 years, so give careful thought to the changes that are likely to occur in your life during that time. If you can and will commit to providing a safe, loving home for life, then please submit a Pre-Adoption Form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSejVc_RDDfTTGUh2vHmc7At2SUjwTkJlYHgytgSaH6-qESYrQ/viewform

Story
My name is Crispy, and I’m a 1 year old DSH male kitty. I was found outside fending for myself but I much prefer indoor cat life with my people, lounging around them, and playing with toys. I am an energetic guy and want a lot of playtime and attention so I’d really love to have a female friend who wants to play. My favorite toy is a metal kitty fishing rod. I wasn’t taught great manners earlier in life so I’m still trying to figure out how to kindly tell my foster mom to hurry up with dinner and so I probably would do best in a house with only people over age 10. Also while I was unfortunately outdoors I contracted FIV. I’m otherwise healthy and can live a long and happy life. I’ll be there waiting at the door for you when you come home!
