Story
Have you ever looked around your home and thought “I need to add some excitement to my life”? Well then Crow is the cat for you! This adorable little dude will add love and lightness to almost any home by wanting to be constantly involved in whatever it is you’re doing, whether it’s hanging out on the couch watching tv or unloading groceries or making dinner, he wants to be involved and always helps with whatever it is. The fact that his helping occasionally leads to making a bit of a bigger mess, well, that’s not his fault - he does only have paws after all. We originally met Crow back when he was about 4 months old after he had been brought into the ACC as a stray. He’s now about a year and a half old and we don’t know anything of his history, we do know that he loves to explore and loves to investigate which is what earned him his name (well that and the white tip to his tail)! Crow is always the first to greet any new cats we bring into our cat room and he is always excited for new friends, sometimes to his detriment. He can come on a little strong and can be a bit too insistent on playing with older cats who want nothing to do with him. He would do great with younger cats who have just as much energy as he does and he does pretty well with kids and would do best in a home with kids over 7 or so. He hasn’t had a ton of experience with dogs, but would most likely get along with one after some adjustment time. Crow is neutered, microchipped, and is up to date on all of his vaccines! We don’t have any set adoption fees, but do ask that a donation be made at the time of adoption, and for Crow we are asking for a donation of $150, since he’s over a year old. If you are interested in adopting Crow, you can fill out an adoption application for him on our website, waywardranch.org, or reach out if you have any questions!

Story
This silly little lady came to us after she had been brought into our local vet’s office by a good samaritan who found her after she had been hit by a car. The vet reached out to us to see if we would be able to take her in, and if we were, they would do surgery to fix her jaw, which had been broken and degloved. Luckily we were able to take her in and the surgery went great with no complications! It was pretty obvious when Elvira first got to us that she was going to be a very good cat. Even though she had just been through a series of traumatic events, she was immediately friendly with us and was purring right away. She healed up completely fine from her surgery and you can’t even tell that it happened! We’re guessing that she’s about 4 years old and it’s pretty clear she was loved in a home at one point because of how great she is and how great her house manners are. She’s been fully litter box trained from day 1 and settled right into her new environment. While Elvira was in our cat room, she was always happy to see people and would start purring as soon as she was getting pets, she was more reserved than some of our other cats, waiting for people to come up and say hi to her rather than going up to them, but she’s recently moved into a foster home, and it’s there she’s started to really show her personality. She absolutely loves being an only cat and having her fosters all to herself. She follows them around the house and when she wants something, she’s not afraid to let them know by walking up to them talking the whole time. They also report that she loves cuddling and will take any opportunity to lay on or with them! She does well with older kids but can get overwhelmed by younger ones who don’t respect when she says she’s had enough attention. She’s not super thrilled with other pets so we would love to place her as an only cat, but she would probably co-exist decently well with chill other animals who let her have her space. Elvira is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all her vaccines! We don’t have any set adoption fees, but do ask that a donation be made at the time of adoption, and for Elvira we are asking for a donation of $150. If you are looking for a cuddly shadow, apply for Elvira today on our website, waywardranch.org!

Story
This shy little girl was caught with the rest of her family as part of a colony near to us, and while she’s still settling in and getting used to not having to fend for herself, it’s obvious that she’s going to be an absolute sweetheart once she starts to let her personality shine through her uncertainty. Saffron was trapped with her three kittens - Tiny, Sparkles, and Sandy (who are also looking for homes!)- and her sister, Truffles and Saffron is definitely the shyest of the family. Since they moved into our cat room, Saffron has started to settle in, but she still likes to hang out in out of the way places, like the middle of a cat tree or partially behind a curtain, where she’ll be able to see what’s going on but not immediately spotted, but if you go up to her slowly and let her sniff you before trying to pet her, she’ll reward you by leaning into the scritches and starting the quietest little purr you’ve ever heard. Because she’s so shy, right now we’re looking to place her in a home with no kids or kids who are older than 10, since loud noises still scare her and she’s gotten along well with the other cats in the room, so she would be okay with one or two cat friends (and would probably do extremely well if she could be adopted with her sister!). We haven’t dog tested her yet, but would probably do best in a home without dogs. Saffron is about a year old, spayed, up to date on her vaccinations, and microchipped, so she’d be ready to go into her new home as soon as we are able to find her one! We don’t have any set adoption fees, but do ask that a donation be made at the time of adoption, and for Saffron we are asking for a donation of $250. If you are interested in adopting Saffron you can fill out an adoption application for her on our website, waywardranch.org, or let us know if you have any questions!

Story
This stunning little gargoyle has a heart of gold and can’t wait to find her forever home! Truffles was caught with her sister and nephews as part of a colony near us, and even though she’s still settling in, it’s pretty clear that Truffles is going to be a really cool cat once she gets comfortable. She was the most content when they were quarantined and would walk right up to the front of her crate and ask for pets the very first day they got here, while the rest of her family were hiding in the backs of theirs. She would then roll over to show her belly and do silly stretches to keep the person petting her as long as possible. Since she’s moved into the cat room, her true personality is starting to come out, but because her and another cat aren’t thrilled with each other, Truffles prefers to hang out on the high shelves and just watch people as they move around the room. Because of this, we think she would do best in a home with her sister, Saffron, or with another very chill cat who will happily coexist with her. She would probably do best with older kids and no dogs, but we haven’t dog tested them yet, so that could change in the future. Truffles is about a year old, spayed, up to date on her vaccinations, and microchipped, so she’d be ready to go into her new home as soon as we are able to find her one! We don’t have any set adoption fees, but do ask that a donation be made at the time of adoption, and for Truffles we are asking for a donation of $250.
