Flare loves her cat friends! People..not so much. She would do great in an adult only home with other cats. She prefers not to be handled but she is young so that could change in time with the right setting. She is very playful and fun to watch.

Story
Meet Mindy – a playful, cuddle bug! Adoption Application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat Mindy is full of energy, curiosity, and just the right amount of mischief. Mindy loves teaming up with her siblings for playtime shenanigans, and she’s often the one leading the charge into kitten-sized trouble (the fun kind). After all that excitement though, she’s more than happy to settle in your arms for a good cuddle. Mindy is an affectionate, playful girl and will make sure she gets your attention when she needs it! She loves to be with her siblings in a cuddle pile, on your lap, or racing around the house. She's a very loving and fun little kitten and will make a great family member! Mindy is ~8 months old, spayed, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and in great health. She does a great job of keeping her litterbox tidy. All she needs now is her forever home! Mindy would thrive if adopted with one of her foster siblings. She's never met a dog, but with slow introductions to a calm, cat-savvy pup, we think she could learn to love a new dog friend. Mindy’s foster mates: Mike (M), Matt (M), Mary (F) Priority will be given to applicants interested in adopting a pair of kittens or who have patient, playful resident cats or dogs at home. Information on why adopting two kittens together is best for their short- and long-term health and behavior can be found here: http://www.kittenlady.org/twokittens The adoption application can be found here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat Mindy is currently in Houston, Texas but can be transported to the Northeast, the Pacific Northwest, Colorado, or locations along ther route. --- ABOUT OUR ADOPTION FEES: Our adoption fees include spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchipping, and transportation costs. Also, when you adopt from ROSES Rescues, you’re doing more than giving your new family member a home. Each adoption fee sponsors a cat on the streets of Houston to get fixed, helping end the cycle of overpopulation in a rough environment. We thank you so much for your contribution to our efforts! Story
Meet Socks! Adoption Application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat Socks is a 6- month-old cutie whose name fits her perfectly—she’s dressed to impress in her little white “socks” and full of kitten charm. Playful and curious, she’s always ready to turn an ordinary day into an adventure. Socks loves interactive toys, chasing feather wands, and exploring every corner of her world. Once she’s had her fun, she’s happy to relax nearby and enjoy gentle pets from her favorite humans. She’s social and enjoys being around people and loves to be carried around to the explore the world as she cuddles you. Socks currently lives alongside other cats and coexists peacefully, though she’s not particularly cuddly or bonded with them. She has also been introduced to dogs; she’s comfortable around them and prefers not to play. ————————— Socks is vaccinated, microchipped, combo tested, up to date on flea meds and de-wormer. She’s litter box trained and has excellent manners. She’ll bring a perfect mix of independence, playfulness, and charm to her forever home. Location & Transport Socks is currently in Houston, Texas, but can be transported to the Northeast, Pacific Northwest, Colorado, or cities along the route. Apply to adopt Socks here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat ————————- Why We Charge an Adoption Fee Your adoption fee covers vetting, transport, and helps fund our TNR (trap-neuter-return) work. Each adoption sponsors a spay/neuter and two vaccines for a homeless Houston cat—saving two lives with every adoption.

Story
Meet Charlotte, the head-butting, tail shaking flirty gal ready to steal your heart… and your cat treats! Adoption Application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat Charlotte is one of a group of cats who were born at a local Houston bar (Drift Bar). They grew up around the hustle and bustle of bar-goers and love being around people. When the only home they’d ever known closed down this summer, the resident kitties were left alone to fend for themselves until some good Samaritans stepped in. Charlotte is by far the bravest of her crew – the “pack leader” you might say. As an indoor cat she developed the funniest little greeting ritual: she gives a little mew, casually walks up, and stands up on her hind legs, smushing her head into your hand for pets. Once she gets her pets, she can hardly contain her excitement and shakes her tail at top speed. It’s hard to describe but is one of the most endearing things I’ve seen. She’s also waiting at “her” window every day, keeping tabs on the action outside. If you’re looking for a watchdog who won’t actually alert you to intruders or guard the house, Charlotte is your girl. Mark my words: if something is going on out there, she’ll be watching with her face against the glass like an adorable nosy neighbor. The window is Charlotte’s version of Reality TV. It is her favorite past time and she takes her hobby very seriously. ___ Charlotte is still a bit confused about the concept of being picked up. We are practicing this daily and slowly making progress, but there is a chance she might just be the kind of cat who needs to climb or jump up on her own instead of being carried. She isn’t a super-needy Velcro cat, she’s more like a best friend and companion who will lay next to you (or by her window) while you pass the time together. With the progress this girl has made in just one month, I can only imagine how much she will grow and blossom with her perfect family. ___ Miss Charlotte has a nearly-identical sister Chloe who is also up for adoption – the two of them are very close and would be an adorable pair for anyone looking for double the fun. She has a very easygoing demeanor, and with proper introductions she would do just fine with an existing resident cat. She would also be fabulous as an only cat with love and attention from her human family. Charlotte has not met a dog during her time indoors. We would be happy to test her temperament with dogs prior to adoption for any serious applicants who have patient resident pups. Charlotte is ~2 years old, spayed, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and microchipped. She does a great job of keeping her litterbox tidy, all she needs now is her forever home. Adoption Application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat The Drift Bar Kitties: Victoria, Harrison, Charlotte, Chloe, Sebastian (coming soon), and Genevieve (coming soon). Charlotte is currently in Houston, Texas but can be transported to the Northeast, the Pacific Northwest, or locations along these routes. ___ ABOUT OUR ADOPTION FEES: When you adopt from ROSES Rescues, you're doing more than giving your new family member a home. Story
This cat is named Lady. She is an Adult cat, and beautiful like snow. Approximately 6 years old. She was originally loved and cared for by a woman who struggled with substance abuse that led to her and another cat being evicted from apartment after apartment. They were living on the streets before they came to this current foster home. There are dogs in the home that will chase cats if given the chance so its not the best fit which is why they are seeking their forever home. The cats, Lady and a mixed brown cat Sahara, grew up together so could be adopted as a pair or separately. Lady is very shy and since she got spayed she's pretty quiet unless she thinks you missed mealtime. She just needs a little extra time to warm up to someone so having that understanding with her and patience would be great. She is very sweet once she feels comfortable with you. She does play chase with the other cat she came with. Please feel free to ask questions if you or someone you know is interested!
