He is about 2 years old and originally a stray from PACC. He's extremely playful does well in the car and loves to sleep curled up on the couch. He is very food motivated and loves to chase other dogs around. He can do well with cats however he plays rough because he doesnt understand that they are not dogs. No known allergies but does sometimes gets skin rashes and ear infections. (I have a medicated shampoo that works really well, and regular doggy eardrops work fine ) he hates water, so bath time can be hard for him. He has taken several puppy training classes when he was 6months to a year.

I was given Blue by an old colleague during 2020. Because of the pandemic, he never got to be around other dogs, nor really was able to get socialization skills beyond my roommates and I. Though fault of my own, because of this lack of exposure, he does not like the vet, other dogs, or children. Fast forward to my life now, there is a young child who has been in my life for a few years who we have to keep separate in the house from Blue. Ideally, he needs someone who can give him time, more attention and cuddles. He loves playing fetch, he’s a huge cuddle bug and in his other time, he loves to sleep. He’s playful, but not super active and a bit of a couch potato. Beyond the child issue, there are people in our home who are highly allergic to him. He does shed a good bit. He has never bitten anyone, but can come off a bit aggressive in stressful situations. He’s a great guard dog, and is just looking for more love and attention. We are asking a rehoming fee to keep him out of the wrong.

This handsome silver- snooted gentleman is a volunteer favorite- a gentle, polite and distinguished fella who wins hearts wherever he goes and wants nothing more than a comfy retirement home! Here’s what some of his biggest fans have said:“Azul is a wonderfully sweet 10-year-old who has no business living out his retirement years in a shelter! He walked really nicely on the leash, which is good because he is a big boy. When I sat on a bench, he came in very close and initially tried to help himself to the treats, then took them from my hand instead. He was very interested in a few people we saw walking around the park, wagging his tail hopefully at them. This guy is 90 pounds of snuggly love!”“Azul is easygoing, friendly, tolerant, and polite. Right from the start, this big lug has been quick to warm up to us and, despite his large size, is easy to leash, walk, and handle. Since 2017, Annabelle has been in the shelter more than 10 separate times due to an unstable living situation. Our heart breaks every time she comes back to us, and she is truly deserving of a forever home and ending to the revolving shelter door. Here`s what some of Annabelle’s friends at the shelter said:“This attention-seeking sweetie needs a home full of security and companionship. Annabelle is incredibly friendly, loves being around people, and is very tolerant even when being examined and receiving her vaccinations. Despite all the uncertainty in her life, this good girl remains happy and hopeful. She has a great attitude and is always ready to make friends. Annabelle is super easy to leash up, handle and walk, she loves, loves, loves being with people and seeks out attention every chance she gets, and she’s treat- motivated and takes treats gently. She’s well-behaved and smart, aims to please, and is curious, fun, playful, and a little bit goofy. She’s full of life and love and she’s hoping to be someone’s forever companion and the center of someone’s universe.”“Annabelle is a bit of an older lady with some gray on her face, but she is still very spritely. She walked very nicely on the leash out in the park. When I sat on a bench, she stayed right by my legs, tried to climb up next to me one time, but couldn’t quite manage it with her short legs. I take her out a couple of times a week and we spend our time with her leaned up against me for scratches on her back and giving me kisses. We learned that she will need a secure yard as she can jump quite high and will benefit from crate training, which she is working on while back at the shelter.
