Story
Meet Denny, a 2-year-old pit/shepherd mix. Denny was rescued from a rural shelter's E-list, as they were out of space. He was found with an injured leg, roaming a parking lot. Denny has a big pumpkin head and an even bigger heart. He enjoys sitting outside in the morning, playing with toys, or sitting with his head in your lap for rubbing. Denny is good with dogs of all sizes, but due to his size and playfulness, he may be best with bigger dogs. He takes his cues from other dogs, so a home with another dog would be great. He is okay with cats, but seems pretty scared of them, so a cat-free home is probably best. He has been great with any person he meets. He's not a huge barker but occasionally barks outside to let you know he is taking care of the house. He hasn't had any accidents after the first few days and uses his crate to eat meals and rest while I'm out. He walks gently on a leash. He's about 54lbs but still underweight (definitely not picky with his food). It's obvious Denny had a rough beginning to life, but he is adorable and deserves the best forever home.

Story
This sweet little boy was found as a stray in Vail, near an elementary school. He had no chip and no tags. He is a big love bug who adores people, wants snuggles and attention, and enjoys all the love you can give! He has been taken to the vet for his first vaccines, and is estimated to be around a year old. He is in great health and is a fun and playful boy! Although we love this boy already and wish we could keep him, he does not get along well with our current doggy. As he is such a loving boy and loves human attention, he would probably do best in a home as an only dog, where he can get all of your love and attention. He appears to be well house trained/broken, knows sit and shake, has already figured out how to use our doggy door, and appears to be trainable on other counts. He appeared to not have much experience with a leash, but after one try he is almost already a pro! He is a wonderful and sweet dog who would be an amazing companion!

Story
**MUST BE REHOMED BY NOVEMBER 15** Tampa is a gorgeous 3 y.o. bully mix. Her owner found her on the street when she was a puppy and fell in love. Unfortunately, he had to move and could not take Tampa with him. Tampa loves to take long naps, cuddle, watch TV/movies, run around the front yard, and examine the stuffing quality of every stuffed toy she owns. Her favorite toys are the tugging and squeaking variety; even after she guts them, she loves them and will bring it to you when she wants to play. Her favorite snacks are pumpkin puree, carrots, frozen spinach, frozen fruits, and peanut butter. Tampa LOVES people. Tampa was attacked by another dog while leashed and is reactive (not aggressive!) as a result. With leash training and consistency, she shows improvement. She has lived with one other dog and they were best buds, so she may do well in a 2-dog home with a bigger/confident dog and proper intros. She does not like cats. Please give this loving dog a home!

Story
Ajax is a handsome, shy guy who has spent a long time in the shelter waiting for a family of his own. When you aren’t comfortable with people right off the bat, it’s that much harder to convince a family that you’re the one for them. In fact, Ajax often spends much of his time on the back side of his kennel where the public can’t even see him, because it’s quieter and less overwhelming for him there. This long stay resident needs a special family who can see that he’s deserving of a loving home. Ajax has spent time in both a foster home and, briefly, an adoptive home. He was housebroken and would wait by the door to let his people know he needed a bio break and slept near his person at night. He was also reportedly crate trained and was working on being comfortable walking on leash with a Gentle Leader. That home didn’t turn out to be the right fit, so Ajax returned to the shelter where he’s been waiting… and waiting… and… you got it. Waiting. An ideal home for this special guy will be one with people who will be patient as he settles in and who will continue to work with him on training and socialization. He’ll do best in a quiet environment without constant visitor traffic (or one where he has a safe space of his own to relax when people come over). Will he be the snuggliest, cuddliest dog you could ever imagine the first night you bring him home? Nope- and that’s ok!!! Let him be himself and come around in his own time.“When I first met Ajax, I gave him a few treats in his kennel to get to know him. Once out, he is a good boy to walk. As time has passed, he is more comfortable with me. I often walk him to the picnic table in the shade and he enjoys a head massage and pets. He enjoys treats too. We go on different routes and he likes to stop and sniff along the way.”- PACC volunteer`Ajax is a nervous boy, but he allows petting. He`s easy to leash up and overall is a very sweet boy.` – PACC volunteerWhen meeting other dogs in playgroup, Ajax was nervous and preferred to keep to himself. He`d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to make sure it`s a good fit. Please ask about how you can help Ajax today!

Story
Coco is a handsome senior sir who was adopted from PACC previously and lived in a home for the past two years. He did great with five young kiddos in the household and was reportedly house and crate trained. His family described him as an independent boy who enjoys car rides. In another prior home, Coco once again did well with kids and was described as loving and affectionate. Here’s what some of his volunteer friends have said:“Coco is a lovely sweetie pie. Easy to leash and walk and enjoyed doing his own thing in the play yard with a serious look on his handsome face. After he got his fill of exploring the yard, he sat by my side, observing his surroundings with a quiet and calm demeanor.”“Coco settled and walked nicely after the first few minutes of our walk. He will sit nicely for treats and is very sweet.”Coco has shared his kennel while at PACC and seems to prefer the ladies over the fellas when it comes to his doggy friends. He’d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to make sure it’s a good fit and is looking for a home without cats. Coco is available for Pacc`s two week Trial Adoption program! Ask to meet Coco today!!!

Story
Mowgli is your typical 2 month old boxer puppy. He eats, plays, sleeps and repeats! He will need continued potty training. He is working on kennel training with his foster right now, however he will need more support as it's not his favorite thing to do. Once he's ready for walks, he will need some leash training.  He is current on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped and he is neutered. He does well with all sized dogs and humans. He does ok with the cats but will need continued pratice to remain gentle with them as he grows.  Please complete an adoption application at www.pathwaysforpaws.com. If he fits your family and lifestyle, you will be contacted within 48 hours. Click HERE for the adoption application ##2176100##
