Story
Clara Belle is a sweet little lady who came to the shelter as a stray. Here’s what volunteers have said about her:“Clara Belle is easy to leash and walks politely. She is friendly and seeks affection, leaning in for rubs, and she gives puppy kisses. She enjoyed sniffing the grass on our walk and ignored a group of playful children and sat in the shade for pets.”“I took Clara Belle out for the first time yesterday and found her to be very affectionate, easy to leash and walk, sort of laid back while she sniffed around. She showed no reactivity to other dogs while leaving the kennel or to dogs/people passing by.”Clara Belle shares her kennel with another PACC pup and was relaxed and easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup. She’s looking for a home without cats. Ask to meet Clara Belle today!!

Story
My name is Deli! I`m a 6 y.o. 58 lb pointer/staff mix. I have been living with my foster mama for almost 8 months now and would love to finally meet my forever family! I love going on walks, playing in the hose and laying in the sun. I love ALL people, men, women, children, babies, grandparents, etc.! I have no problems with other dogs and have lived with big Dobermans and small yorkies. I can be leash reactive but I`ve been doing really well with my foster mama with my martingale collar. I will sleep wherever you tell me too and I will NEVER go potty in your house. I LOVE roadtrips and going to new places. I`m very tolerable of grooming, bathing, clothes, shoes, etc. I`ve never lived with a cat but I`d be willing to meet them in your home. I don`t like being stuck in a kennel but I promise you can leave me alone in the house and I will be so well behaved. Ask about me TODAY! email pacc.adoptafoster@pima.gov

Story
Melo has had a tough life, most recently coming to the shelter after being found stray. This squishy faced sir has taken it all in stride and has learned the routine at the shelter and made quite a few friends. His good looks don’t hurt- a visitor to the shelter was recently overheard telling Melo that he looks a bit like a potato, and, well, we can see it! The person who found Melo stray said that he was a very nice and well- behaved dog while with them. Here’s what Melo’s volunteer fans have said about him:“Melo is one of my favorite PACC pups to spend time with! He has a larger than life personality and always seems to be in good spirits, despite how long he`s been waiting for his forever home. Every time I walk up to his kennel, he immediately starts wiggling his little potato booty and comes up for pets. He loves to show off his favorite toys and bring them up to the front of the kennel for me to see. He`s great at keeping himself entertained and could chew on a ball or kong for hours! It`s clear that Melo is an affection-seeking boy who would love nothing more than a loving companion. Also I can`t help but gush about how CUTE he is!! The smushiest face and the sweetest smile!”“I love Melo! Today I wanted to take him to agility yard. I didn’t have a ball for him to play with so we practiced jumping through the hoop, then he enjoyed wandering around sniffing all the good smells. This sweet boy needs his own family, he is gentle and kind and is a lovely dog.”“It`s so much fun watching Melo playing with a toy in the play yard because he likes to perform agility and chew his toy at the same time! He enjoys treats and performs a perfect sit, watch me, and paw to earn them.”Melo will most likely do best as your one and only- he loves his people but can be a bit more choosey when it comes to other dogs. Please ask to meet Melo the potato today!!

Story
Boone is a young pup who is learning all about life. Here’s the thing though… he should be learning about life in a home, not life in the shelter. He needs a bit of help with socialization, but this boy has so much potential! Here’s what one volunteer said about him:“I had the pleasure of walking Boone this morning and what a delightful outing we both had! I introduced myself and he calmly sat, gently nibbling bits of hot dog and string cheese through the kennel door bars. He greeted me with a long stretch and a wagging tail. He walked right into my leash and away we went. Boone was curious but not reactive towards other dogs we passed. He walked with a nice loose leash and stayed close to my side. He sat patiently for treats in the grass and was accepting of touch from head to tail, leaning against me for more scritches when I stopped.”Boone has shared his kennel politely and has been playful when meeting other dogs in play group. He’s a big puppy that would likely benefit greatly from a furry friend in his future home. He also loves the doggy pool! Ask to meet Boone today!
