Story
Meet Marz Marz came to us as a tiny 2.5-month-old puppy, and heartbreakingly, he has grown up in the shelter. Now about 7 months old, this American Staffordshire Terrier mix is still waiting for someone to choose him — and we truly don’t understand why.He is a high-energy adolescent who needs a home familiar with active dogs and committed to consistent training. We are doing everything we can for him, but a shelter is no place for a puppy to grow up. What Marz really needs is a person willing to give him a chance, provide guidance, and show him what it means to belong.Marz would do best in a home with adults or teenagers who can help him continue learning and building confidence. With patience, structure, and love, he has the potential to be an incredible companion and a shining Pittie ambassador. We are all so sad watching him wait — but we know the right person is out there. Could it be you?January 27, 2026, 1:46 pm

Story
Meet the happiest dog ever Bazinga!! He has been at the Milo Sanctuary for some time now and is just a sweet boy with a few quirks. He loves to go on walks and be around people. He is very people friendly. Bazinga will pull some on a leash, but when told to stop and sit he will. He loves attention and his tennis balls! Bazinga has to have at least two tennis balls - he wouldn't mind more! One quirk about Bazinga is that he is not very dog friendly- he will not be a dog that can visit a dog park or be let off leash to roam, he will need his person to have full control at all times. However he is a dog that can be around all humans! Bazinga is playful and loving. I am searching for a forever home that will love this sweet boy and accept his little quirks. Bazinga is almost 7 years old... who wants to show him a new chapter of life? Please call 707-459-4900 if you would like to meet Bazinga or have more questions.

She is housetrained and affection motivated, thriving on praise, cuddles, and quality time with her people. Roxy does well with other dogs and is also good with cats, though she can be playful and may chase, so feline friends should be confident and dog-savvy. Story
Hello my name is Daisy, I am a gorgeous American Staffordshire Terrier and I am more than ready to find my forever home.  Daisy has been overlooked! She has been citing at the humane society shelter for over a 1 year now, poor girl.  Although she is on the smaller side, she has not gotten much attention, less than a handful of 'meet and greets'. Outside her kennel she is sweet and eager to please! However she might need some time to warm up to people.  Other Dogs: The shelter is very small and due to financial and staff limitations, formal dog testing and play groups are not conducted and therefore information is limited. However, the shelter staff tried Daisy, in an enclosed yard on a leash with another leashed dog that was about her size and they played well.  On walks, she shows interest and ignores other dogs that are nearby - that's a good sign! There are no medical concerns for Daisy other than she can have skin issues if she is in the sun too much, like any white dog. From one of the volunteers - "Daisy can take time to warm up to people, but once she does she's a big time lover. She enjoys cuddling and leaving you completely covered in white fur." And another volunteer said - "With me she has always been silly and affectionate. She loves to be the center of attention, loves to sit on your lap/give kisses, and loves to roll around in the grass." I am currently living at  San Gabriel Valley Humane Society, in San Gabriel, CA (Los Angeles County).  The shelter's phone number is 626-286-1159 - contact them to meet me, pretty please! California Pit bull Rescue is an official 501(c)(3) and requires an adoption application and $200 donation fee for all adoptions.October 24, 2024, 1:31 pm

Story
Hi! I’m Nana. Goofball, toy enthusiast, and recovering street kid. I’m a 1–2-year-old spayed bully mix found on the streets of Stockton. I’m living the good life in foster care in Reno & SF and learning how awesome being safe and loved can be. I’m a smart cookie and I love learning. I already know crate, sit, stay, leave it, recall, and down. I’m also potty trained. Treats are my love language and training with a behavioral trainer has been a blast and helped me build confidence. The shelter folks said I’m friendly with male dogs, and in my foster home I haven’t shown aggression toward the resident female dog - though I do best with the boys with slow introductions. I would do best with an experienced owner to guide my success as I enter adulthood. Contact Janice to meet Nana and for more info at Janicekwalden@gmail.com or Katy at 415-439-9752 California Pit bull Rescue is an official 501(c)(3) and requires an adoption application and $200 donation fee for all adoptions.February 6, 2026, 6:17 pm

Meet Daphne Jinkies! Daphne is a 3–4-year-old Boxer-type mix with a heart as big as her personality—and she’s ready to solve the mystery of where her forever home has been hiding. This former stray absolutely adores people of all ages and would be happiest as the star of the show (because let’s face it, Daphne knows she’s fabulous). As for cats… that clue is still unsolved. If you’re searching for a loyal, affectionate companion who’s eager to be by your side and shower you with love, Daphne is ready to hop in the Mystery Machine and head home with you.January 27, 2026, 1:46 pm
