Story
She is a cuddle bug who wants to go on walks, hikes or just run errands with her person. She loves people, is five years old, a staffie mix and very healthy. She likes to learn new tricks and is food driven. She wants to sleep close to her person and would love to be allowed to snuggle on the couch, but will obey when told to stay down and lay in her own bed. Her breed mix is short and sturdy. She weighs between 37-39 lbs and has all of her shots. We think she would be happiest in a home that is active and doesn't mind bringing her with them when on errands or to their office if allowed. Perhaps someone that works from home. She does very well at dog day care too. She may be happiest as the only dog or #1 pet. She can be alone during the day, but might be anxious if it was too log or often. We adopted Zero during the pandemic when we lived in a much larger home. We've had to relocate to a smaller place creating tensions between her and our other dog.

Story
Gaia is a calm, friendly girl who thrives on affection and gives sweet, gentle kisses. Unimpressed by toys, Gaia is more interested in treats and human interaction. She prefers chilling in the play-yard over going for walks, and she adores basking in the sunshine. But she does walk pretty well on the leash. She knows the "sit" command and is treat-motivated, so she should learn new commands easily. She does well with other dogs, cats, and even kids! She's currently in foster with a cat, dog, and young child and she's amazingly wonderful with all of them. She has exhibited some separation anxiety, but it was quickly resolved once the foster brought her another foster dog to play. Her shy, somewhat nervous demeanor became calm and confident once she had another dog to care for; her foster brother is a very stressed timid pit bull and she's enjoying showing him how to be a dog. She's really come out of her shell since being fostered. Gaia's fur is velvety soft, and she loves nothing more than to snuggle. If you're looking for a loving, mild-mannered pup to curl up next to you on the couch, then Gaia is your girl! Her adoption fee covers her spay, microchip, and vaccinations, including rabies. If you think Gaia might be your next best friend, head to our website at www.hsnb.org and fill out an adoption interest form.
