Story
Hi! I'm Jackson. I was adopted from Second Chance as a puppy from a pretty rough living conditon. Over the year, my family realized that I would do best in a household that is calm and quiet, preferrably with just adults. So here I am back at Second Chance trying again to find the prefect pawrents.  I am very shy and just a tiny bit scared of my own shawdow, why does it keep following me? Anyways, I warm up with time and understanding, I am very smart and know the command sit. I have great manners if I say so myself.  I would do best in a household with no cats and no children under 13. I can be a bit dog-selective. I will need pawrents who understand that I am shy and busy/loud environments make me very nervous. I will thrive in a stable environment, with a yard of my own. Walks are fine from time to time, but sometimes loud noises, falling leaves, or something out of place, like a repair van, make walks for me a bit stressful. Therefore, a fenced-in yard will be required to adopt me. I've had all my shots, I've been neutered, and am ready to go home. I also come with a registered microchip and a full set of medical records (one copy for you and one for my new vet).  If you are interested in meeting me, please complete an adoption application online. Upon pre-approval, someone will reach out to set up a time for you to come meet me. Requirements to adopt me: - Adopter must be 25 years or older - Must own home, no renters - Must have a fenced-in yard - No children in the home under 13 years old ##1562218##

Story
Shelby is a 3-Year old low-riding staffy mix.  She loves to play fetch and run around outside. Shelby would do best in a home with active fur siblings or a very active family as she does tend to get board. She is the best little cuddle bug. No cats for this little cutie. She does well with kids of all ages but can be a tad clumsy. This little short stack is truly a humans best friend.  Are you interested in meeting Shelby? Fill out an application here: https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/52516/generic Shelby has a $150 adoption fee which includes age appropriate vaccines including rabies, spay/neuter, microchip, and a negative heartworm test for dogs 6 months and older. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Resident since April 2018Hello, my name is Amora. I have been told how beautiful I am, and I cannot deny that it's the truth:)  I have been at PRBJ for over 6 years waiting for my forever home.  I know that is a really long time, more than half of my life. I am a great girl just ask anyone at the rescue center. I need time to get to know a person and trust them, but once I do, I will love you forever. I never forget those that love me.  I am a little older now and really would just like a home that I can relax with my human. I am good on the leash, but really don't like going too far...but maybe if I had a great person to walk me and keep me safe, I would enjoy walking.  I DO NOT like other animals (cats, dogs, birds, squirrels, etc), so my ideal home would need to pet free.... although I think I wouldn't mind a fish. I DO NOT like new people, so I would need a home that only has 1-2 ADULTS ONLY with very limited traffic in order to keep me and them safe. Please don't let any of this discourage you from wanting to adopt me. I know the right person is out there and the staff at the center is willing to work with us to ensure I get to the right home. It will take time for you to come in and meet me a few times, but I can guarantee I am worth it.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 13, 2024, 5:14 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet sweet boy Glacier, an approximately 3 yr old, 60 lb lovebug! This amazing boy approaches life with so much *joy*! If you’re looking for a companion that will greet you happily at the door, excitedly welcome guests, and even tag along on adventures, Glacier is the boy for you!   Glacier is potty trained, crate trained, leash trained, knows basic commands, and has recently completed a board & train to help him be his best self! He is very receptive to corrections and thrives with some structure. He’s been doing great in his foster home, where he jogs alongside foster mom as she bikes! He also had a temporary stay in another foster home while foster mom was away, and did amazing with the foster’s shmedium dog. He loves to play with other dogs but is just as serious about his nap time! He’ll happily snuggle up to you and sleeps through the night without incident.    Glacier is food motivated and loves it when his training involves treats! He enjoys puzzle toys and stuffed kongs, and will happily munch away at them when foster mom is on a call.    Glacier would love to have a doggy sibling that also enjoys playing; he had so much fun playing with his recent foster sis! His routine with foster sis consisted of morning play time, looootttsss of nap time, a burst of energy, then lots more naps (lol). He loves to play tug with other pups if they like that too!   Check out Glacier’s feature post on Facebook here.   Glacier’s adoption donation is $210 and will include neuter, microchip and age appropriate vaccines.  Please follow the link below to submit an application:  https://bit.ly/3GDey Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 12, 2024, 11:34 am
