Story
Tyson was left with a neighbor 3 years ago. He needed help keeping Tyson financially I have been paying for all of his shots and neuter. Recently the neighbor surrendered Tyson to me and I was able to find a foster but neither this family or myself can keep him long term. He is so sweet and just needs a stable home.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet sweet boy Glacier, an approximately 3 yr old, 60 lb lovebug! This amazing boy approaches life with so much *joy*! If you’re looking for a companion that will greet you happily at the door, excitedly welcome guests, and even tag along on adventures, Glacier is the boy for you!   Glacier is potty trained, crate trained, leash trained, knows basic commands, and has recently completed a board & train to help him be his best self! He is very receptive to corrections and thrives with some structure. He’s been doing great in his foster home, where he jogs alongside foster mom as she bikes! He also had a temporary stay in another foster home while foster mom was away, and did amazing with the foster’s shmedium dog. He loves to play with other dogs but is just as serious about his nap time! He’ll happily snuggle up to you and sleeps through the night without incident.    Glacier is food motivated and loves it when his training involves treats! He enjoys puzzle toys and stuffed kongs, and will happily munch away at them when foster mom is on a call.    Glacier would love to have a doggy sibling that also enjoys playing; he had so much fun playing with his recent foster sis! His routine with foster sis consisted of morning play time, looootttsss of nap time, a burst of energy, then lots more naps (lol). He loves to play tug with other pups if they like that too!   Check out Glacier’s feature post on Facebook here.   Glacier’s adoption donation is $210 and will include neuter, microchip and age appropriate vaccines.  Please follow the link below to submit an application:  https://bit.ly/3GDey Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 26, 2024, 5:08 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Jag is the sweetest girl and an absolute rescue favorite.  She arrived to us from the shelter with the name Jaguarundi so we have been calling her Pretty Girl Jag.  Her foster family describes her as the perfect dog.  She is sweet, well behaved, non destructive and loves to follow you and look for affection.  Jag adores cuddles with her humans.  She arrived at the rescue very scared and timid but always friendly. She has now learned she is safe and to trust easier and has really come out of her shell.  This precious girl has just recently discovered the joy of bones and it is absolutely adorable.  Watching her blossom has been such a rewarding journey.  Jag is potty trained, loves other dogs and is good on a leash.  Jag LOVES her daily walks and is good on a leash unless it's a pack walk and then she can pull a little because she loves to be the lead!   She loves everyone and is great with children.   She can be a bit more timid with men until she knows she is safe and then it's unconditional love.   Jag cannot wait to have a family to call her own and show you her unconditional love. Check out Jag’s feature post on social media here: https://www.instagram.com/reel/C8fVFmnPJbm/?igsh=MTZ5MTB5cTAybG1hNw==   Jag's adoption donation is $210 and will include spay, microchip and age appropriate vaccines.  Please follow the link below to submit an application:  https://bit.ly/3GDeyyo  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 26, 2024, 5:08 pm

Story
Hi! I'm Jackson. I was adopted from Second Chance as a puppy from a pretty rough living conditon. Over the year, my family realized that I would do best in a household that is calm and quiet, preferrably with just adults. So here I am back at Second Chance trying again to find the prefect pawrents.  I am very shy and just a tiny bit scared of my own shawdow, why does it keep following me? Anyways, I warm up with time and understanding, I am very smart and know the command sit. I have great manners if I say so myself.  I would do best in a household with no cats and no children under 13. I can be a bit dog-selective. I will need pawrents who understand that I am shy and busy/loud environments make me very nervous. I will thrive in a stable environment, with a yard of my own. Walks are fine from time to time, but sometimes loud noises, falling leaves, or something out of place, like a repair van, make walks for me a bit stressful. Therefore, a fenced-in yard will be required to adopt me. I've had all my shots, I've been neutered, and am ready to go home. I also come with a registered microchip and a full set of medical records (one copy for you and one for my new vet).  If you are interested in meeting me, please complete an adoption application online. Upon pre-approval, someone will reach out to set up a time for you to come meet me. Requirements to adopt me: - Adopter must be 25 years or older - Must own home, no renters - Must have a fenced-in yard - No children in the home under 13 years old ##1562218##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Resident since April 2018Hello, my name is Amora. I have been told how beautiful I am, and I cannot deny that it's the truth:)  I have been at PRBJ for over 6 years waiting for my forever home.  I know that is a really long time, more than half of my life. I am a great girl just ask anyone at the rescue center. I need time to get to know a person and trust them, but once I do, I will love you forever. I never forget those that love me.  I am a little older now and really would just like a home that I can relax with my human. I am good on the leash, but really don't like going too far...but maybe if I had a great person to walk me and keep me safe, I would enjoy walking.  I DO NOT like other animals (cats, dogs, birds, squirrels, etc), so my ideal home would need to pet free.... although I think I wouldn't mind a fish. I DO NOT like new people, so I would need a home that only has 1-2 ADULTS ONLY with very limited traffic in order to keep me and them safe. Please don't let any of this discourage you from wanting to adopt me. I know the right person is out there and the staff at the center is willing to work with us to ensure I get to the right home. It will take time for you to come in and meet me a few times, but I can guarantee I am worth it.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 26, 2024, 5:56 pm

Story
Katie is a young, energetic dog who loves tug of war and laying in the sun. I recently accepted a job that requires us to relocate out west, and we will not be able to take her with us. Katie is kind and gentle with both of our kids. We have a 7 year old boy, who Katie chases around the house. And a 1 year old daughter. Katie enjoys laying on the ground near our daughter, watching her curiously. Katie loves to go on runs, occasionally I ride my bike around the neighborhood while she runs on her leash beside me. Katie is highly treat motivated, and has been easy to train basic commands. Shortly after we brought Katie home, she was attacked by another dog of similar size while I was walking her in the neighborhood, she has been distrustful of dogs ever since, and will become aggressive when other dogs get too close. We love Katie and want nothing more than for her to find a loving household to give her the attention and exercise she deserves

These pups are in Belle Isle, Florida too!

Story
Meet Daphne (DaphPunk), she’s is 5 years old and I’ve had her since she was 6months. She’s potty trained. Knows commands sit, chill (lay/down), and paw. Very energetic!! She’s well with dogs her size and larger. Older kids 10+ are fine. But younger I am not quite sure since she likes to stand on her twos paws and hug every chance she gets. She also gets energetic quick. She knows to get out of the kitchen as well. No problems with her chewing up furniture or shoes.
