Story
Fire has been our fur baby since 2020. He is 5 now however, our family has grown drastically. We currently have two children under 2 years old and I am also pregnant with child due in February. Because of my age, I am unable to provide the extra attention a dog this size needs while pregnant. He is also now sectioned off to a smaller part of our house which does not suit our heart. It is the most difficult decision to make for our family, but we are all in hopes of a new family that can provide the love and care our fur baby needs. Please consider this wonderful, fun, sweetheart of a family member.

Hello everyone! I'm Clayton and I was adopted from the Sarasota Humane Society in Florida on 6/24/24. I was born 4/23 and I'm 50lb. A DNA swab said I'm 89% American Staffordshire Terrier and the rest Miniature Schnauzer. I don't have any genetic diseases. I have seasonal allergies so take half an Apoquel a day. I'm a friendly, sweet, and kind dog. My owner needs to rehome me because I shed, and she didn't think about how this would affect her nasal vasculitis autoimmune disease. I'm good with adults, children, and other dogs, housetrained, neutered, microchipped, I know how to walk on a leash, I'm not destructive, and I don't bark unless see a rabbit out the window. l Iove going on walks, to dog beaches, and spending time with the people that care about me. I'm looking for a wonderful home! (The $250 fee is to contribute to the cost of my supplies, which are all yours for free).

She isn't fond of initially meeting new people so slow introductions are required but she warms up quickly and once you're in her circle of friends, you'll receive that smile every time she sees you. Her whole face lights up and her bum wiggle starts. You can't help but smile back at her. Tonka is 12 years old and has spent a great deal of those years at Satchel's. While she can be excitable, she wants nothing more than attention from those she loves. Tonka knows basic commands and walks well on the leash once her initial excitement over the prospect of going for a walk diminishes. She's looking for a quiet retirement home. A home with not a lot of "strangers" coming and going. A home welcoming that smile and her kisses every day. A home with someone to share all her love - she has so much to give. Look at this handsome boy! Watson is a big boy who just wants to be a dog. He would do best in a home with low traffic where he can get to know and trust the people coming through his territory. Watson is strong-minded and needs a dog-savvy person. He likes to sit on your lap and is very affectionate but he doesn't care to be smothered in any way or have people in his face. He likes to play with ropes and chewy toys and sits like a perfect gentleman in the car. Watson goes on regular car ride adventures with his favorite volunteer at Satchel's and occasionally stops for lunch on a patio. He recently completed agility training at Satchel's and showed he knows how to listen for a treat. This boy is looking for someone to bond with who understands him. Is that you? He'll be your loyal companion for life if you're the one for him. Watson is guessed to be 10 years old and has spent the last several of those years at Satchel's. Carter is a sweet, lovable, and fun dog. He is very calm if you give him time to play and run around. He is now 6 years old, but he has a young soul and needs someone who will be able to give him time, love, and lots of cuddles. He does pull on a leash, so some training would be required to get rid of that behavior. Carter has a strong prey drive so he CANNOT be in a home with small animals or infants, but small dogs and kids who can crawl/walk are fine. I do not know if this behavior can be trained out of him. He tends to struggle with separation anxiety so chew toys are ideal, I can provide some. Ultimately, he is a very good and lovable dog, our schedules are just to busy to give him the life he deserves.
