Story
Handsome, smart, obedient, protective—and a true dog playgroup superstar—Grover has all of the most wonderful qualities! This 3-year-old, 47-pound American Staffordshire Terrier mix is the total package. Grover loves staying active and engaged. His favorite is a game of fetch, but he would love a walk, or even just a rope to throw around by himself too. He’s an absolute master of catch, whether it's treats or toys, he rarely misses and is always ready to show off his skills! When he’s not playing, Grover enjoys soaking up the sunshine. He’s a big fan of sunbathing (even though he tends to sunburn), and he simply can’t resist finding the perfect sunny spot during the summer months. If he's not outside being active, you'll find Grover in one of his various sleeping positions on his bed, sound asleep. Grover is crate trained, housetrained, and knows his basic commands and manners. He is known to be very cautious when first meeting new people—humans can be scary sometimes! But with patience and kindness, you can earn Grover's trust after many of his well known, shifty side eyes. His unwavering loyalty, protection, and companionship make that little bit of extra effort worth every second. If you’d like to try and win Grover’s heart, fill out an application for this truly special boy at: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HSOC/Dog

Story
Samantha “Sammy” is a sweet, spunky Staffordshire Terrier puppy with a heart as big as her adorable puppy paws. She can be a bit shy at first, but once she feels safe and comfortable, her playful and affectionate personality really shines. This little lady has typical puppy energy—she loves toys, gentle playtime, and exploring the world around her. Sammy is already showing how smart she is and will do best with positive training, patience, and reassurance as she builds confidence. She is doing great with crate and potty training and will thrive with continued training. With a little time, she blossoms into a loyal cuddle bug who enjoys being close to her people. Sammy is looking for a forever home willing to go at her pace and help her grow into the amazing dog she’s meant to be. If you’re ready for soft kisses, happy wiggles, and a lifetime of love, Sammy may be your perfect match. 🐾💖

Story
Tank is believed to be a 3 year old American Staffordshire Terrier / Shepherd mix. He is a 57 pound neutered male who is up to date on his vaccines. He is in good health with no known issues. He came to me at the end of April 2025. He was abandoned, so I took him in as a foster. I have not done a very good job of trying to find him a forever home. Up until now, I have just being taking care of him and loving him. After being here a few months, I can say he is a super sweet and lovable dog who likes to follow you throughout the house, cuddle with you any chance he gets, and loves attention, pets and belly rubs. I have a 8 year old dog named Kernel who Tank gets along well with, cuddling him & giving him lots of kisses. He prefers women. However, I am a man and he loves me. I am unsure of how he is with cats or kids as I have neither. Tank is very reactive with squirrels on walks and other animals excite him. I think he would benefit from a household where he is the only pet.

Story
I adopted her from the local pound. She was found in a field. No other information was known/given. She was underweight about 40 lbs. She did respond to some commands, seems like she had a family before. The house I brought her home to was temporary but did have another person in the house, recently Sissy and I moved. Her separation anxiety has gotten really bad. She is exhibiting behavioral issues; chewing up her wooded cage while in crate when I'm at work (6 hours), urinating on things, not giving a notice of needed to go outside and chewing her skin creating bald spots. It has become really hard to travel/take out in public. I have started to have groceries delivered from not being able to leave her alone. I got a new cage/ calming chews which has helped. She has soo much potential with more training than I can give. I love more than anything but her health and safety is the most important.

Story
Greta bulldog mix 2-3 yrs Spayed female Greta is a VERY nice girl and will make a lovely companion for the lucky adopter. She is housebroken and is getting used to a crate at night. She loves to snuggle and get belly rubs. Greta does have an old injury to her eye and probably can't see much from that eye but it doesn’t seem to bother her and vet suggested leaving it alone. She is still a beautiful girl, deserving of a nice home. Greta weighs about 60 lbs. Contact emelfoster@frontier.com
