Story
Meet Cyrus, the delightful  Staffordshire Terrier Mini Australian Shepherd mix born 4/30/23 and weighing in at 50 pounds. Cyrus is a clever and potty-trained pup, always eager to learn new tricks for a tasty treat.  Cyrus's unique blend of breeds brings together the agility of an Australian Shepherd and the charm of a Staffordshire Terrier, making him the perfect companion for both shopping sprees and cozy evenings at home.Although initially reserved, once he trusts you, he transforms into a Velcro dog, sticking by your side with unwavering loyalty.  Cyrus was one of nine puppies born to Mama Ember who was brought to Nebraska after being dumped in the country in Oklahoma, she made it here just in time to deliver her babies in the safety of her foster home. There were some complications due to a breech puppy and Ember ended up being rushed to the vet for an emergency c-section for the delivery of her last two pups. Her breech baby didn’t make it but the remaining nine babies are thriving under her care! The suggested adoption fee for Cyrus is $365. Bullies-N-Beyond ResQ is a non-profit corporation that is 100% volunteer operated. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. All dogs adopted through BNBR are adopted with DHPP, Rabies, Lepto and Bordetella. All dogs will also be adopted out as already spayed or neutered if old enough, or a voucher will be provided once the dog becomes of age. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. BNBR does not adopt on a first serve basis. All available dogs are adopted based on their needs to provide the best fit home. ##1713591##

Story
Sailor, an American Staffordshire Terrier, was taken in as a stray by a vet clinic in Holden, KS where she gave birth to eight beautiful puppies in September. Sailor's estimated birthday is March 31, 2022. Sailor is currently thriving in her foster home where she enjoys ice cubes, peanut butter, and playing with her human kiddos. When she hears "night night," she knows that it's bedtime, and this little smartie gets right in her kennel with a small treat.  She also knows "wait" and "gentle."  When playing fetch, she sits politely without being told.  When relaxing, Sailor enjoys watching the dog channels on YouTube.  We've learned that Sailor doesn't like loud noises, which seems to be her only negative trait. We predict that Sailor will be a valued addition to some lucky family. The suggested adoption fee for Sailor is $365.  Bullies-N-Beyond ResQ Inc. is a 501(c)3, non-profit corporation that is 100% volunteer operated. Adoption donation fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. All dogs adopted through BNBR will have been administered their age appropriate vaccines which may include DHPP, Rabies, Lepto and Bordetella. All dogs will also be adopted out as already altered if of age, for those not of age, a voucher will be provided. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. BNBR does not adopt on a first serve basis. All available dogs are adopted based on their needs to provide the best fit home. ##1838312##

Story
Babie is a Boxer/Greyhound/Pitbull mix, born appx June 2021. Babie is a sweet and friendly girl. She is housebroken and crate trained. She is an athletic girl, enjoys being active and needs a fenced yard with a TALL fence - no short 4' fences for this girl! Bonus points if you have a large yard with room for her to run and stretch her legs! She is also leash trained and would love it if her person enjoys being active just as much as she does. Sometimes she can be reactive to other dogs while out walking. Babie gets along with kids, but sometimes she is not too sure of them. She has too much energy for little kids and would probably be okay with age 6 and older. Babie does not like to share her food. She needs her own personal space for meals so she feels comfortable. Help us find Babie a new home! The suggested adoption donation for Babie is $375, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training).  Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $399,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Please Note:  A Courtesy Post designates that an animal is still in the home of its owner and not in a Muddy Paws foster. This means that our exposure to the animal is limited since we are only assisting the owner in finding a new home for their pet. From time to time, owners find a new furever home for their pets outside of Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue and there is a delay in removing them from our site. We apologize if the Courtesy Post you apply to adopt is unavailable for adoption. Before applying to adopt Babie, you need to be familiar with your local breed-specific legislation regarding Pit Bulls. Applicants must live within 50 miles of the Omaha/Council Bluffs area. This will also allow you to take advantage of free training from our certified positive reinforcement trainers.       Information about the adoption process:  All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note:  We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases) during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months. Story
Fostered in Sioux City! Name- Roman Age- 1 Breed- exotic bulldog What was your life like before NDCB/Where did you come from? I was always a very loved family member. I unfortunately developed stones and was having problems urinating and my home was not able to afford the surgery. They selflessly made the decision to give me to the folks at.NDCB so I could get surgery! Who is your main caretaker/favorite person now? Mom Are you good with kids? What age ranges? All kids I have had contact with ranging from 5 up. I have been raised in a home with kids since I was a puppy so I love all kids. Are you good with other dogs? Loves all dogs this far. I was always raised with dogs so I love them all. Are you good with cats? Wants to play with all of them. Are you housebroken? What is your current potty routine? Yes. Current potty schedule is out by 6am. Out again around 715 am. Then kenneled until 340ish then out about 2hours until 8pm. Do you like car rides? Loves car rides Do you like walks? How are you on a leash? My center of gravity is pretty low so I can tend to pull a little bit, but I’m learning. I do love walkies though. Do you like toys? What is your favorite toy? Loves squeaker and ropes. Loves tug a war. Do you know any commands/tricks? Working on learning to sit. Knows how to kennel with a treat. How are your house manners? Loves to cuddle. Will cry if Im not getting attention or cuddles. I’m kind of a needy little dude. Describe your personality- Loving and cuddly. Full of life and energy. Gets zooming regularly inside and out. Describe your perfect home- I’m a pretty easy guy. I would like a home where I can get loads of cuddles and attention so if you have a busy household with lots of kids, I would actually thrive in that. I would also do fine in a calmer household as long as there were people around a lot to show me lots of love. I’m a typical bully where I want to be touching you at all times. Another Fur sibling would be great for me. I do need a home that understands that I will have to stay on a special food so I don’t get stones again because that surgery was expensive and not fun for me! The food is about $100 a month and my family will need to be diligent that I don’t eat anything other than my special food💙

Story
Layla is an adult Boxer (born 2021).  Layla is eager to be loved and is a great snuggle partner when it's time to wind down or go to sleep.  She's housebroken, crate trained and friendly with other dogs. Layla needs a family of adults who are energetic and able to help Layla burn off all her energy and provide mental stimulation for her.   Her new owners must be patient and willing to work with Layla as she learns how to control her energy.   She doesn't understand yet that she can't be rough when playing with younger people.  The perfect home for Layla would have no children (or possibly older kids age 13+) and a fenced yard to run around in.    Layla does like to bark or nip when excited or when she's being protective of her family.  She will sometimes seem nervous or stressed.   The suggested adoption donation for Layla is $375, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training).
