Story
Amber is a rescue from Tennesee. She came to us as a puppy, she is very active and requires a family that can take her out to keep her mind busy. I have reworded to work after 8 years at home. She is well loved. She is a barker and a noser, she needs more time than I am able to give. She may do well with other dogs but I just don’t know. We have birds and she doesn’t bother them. I would like to do a house inspection just to make sure there is enough room to meet her needs.

Popeye here! I am a fun 4 year old guy looking for my forever family! I am super goofy and will do anything for treats and bum scratches. I am crate trained, food motivated, and super smart! I would love someone who will continue teaching me to be the very best boy as I love to learn! I tend to get over aroused when I see dogs and am working on being calmer everyday! I actually really like other dogs and enjoy playing with my pittie foster sister! I absolutely love my toys - especially ones that hide treats in them - and I love, love, love my snuffle mat, stuffed kongs and peanut butter bones too. I cant wait to meet my forever family! Get in touch with the humans and we will meet soon I hope! I love meeting new people!

MEET AKIROWhat to say about this handsome boy? Akiro is an absolute sweetheart with a heart of gold, but he is fearful of new situations and it can take him awhile to warm up to new environments and people. When he warms up, he warms up hard and he`s a big lovebug to the people he knows! Akiro loves life, and he makes that very clear on his daily strolls. It will be important for his new owner to follow up with a force free trainer so Akiro can work on adjusting to new environments. He is looking for a quiet adult only home as the only dog outside of the city!Akiro is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been neutered, microchipped, and seen by our vet team. For more information on Akiro or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. Story
Sweet adorable Barnabas is as cute as they come and will give his adopter and family his whole heart! He loves much bigger than his tiny 5 pound puppy frame.Sadly, this boy ended up at a shelter an all alone puppy, but he found a wonderful heart in his foster momma and some feline foster siblings! Although he loves his feline buddies, this sweet boy longs for a great canine pup sibling and zoom partner for life. We expect this cutie to be a medium sized adult. He absolutely loves to sit in his persons lap, cuddle up and take a nap, help you work on the computer (he LOVES to Zoom), help you vacuum - anything you are doing, he can do, too. Barnabas seems to have a fearless personality and a happy confidence. He loves other animals, has never met a stranger and wants to be friends with every person and every animal he meets. He is a smart busy boy and would love to be a take me everywhere pup and has just the right personality mix to be your coffee shop or hike adventure partner.Apply fast, this adorable little nugget won’t last long!Name: BarnabasBreed: American Staffordshire Terrier/Fox Terrier mixSex: MaleAge: 10 weeksWeight: 5.0Spayed/Neutered: Too young - Spay/Neuter Contract will be required and strictly enforcedVaccinations:   Puppy vaccines will be up to date - all vaccinations required after adoption are responsibility of adopter.Heartworm: Too young (testing is done at 6 months of age)Housetrained:  Not yetMicrochipped: YesLocation of dog currently: AlabamaPuppy Adoption Fee:  $550.00 (includes spay/neuter surgery rebate of up to $200.00 to be paid to adopter when proof of spay/neuter is provided to Paws New England.   We can provide a list of low costs SN clinics to adopters when requested. Adoption fee also includes transport fee.ATTENTION PUPPY ADOPTERS:  You will be required to attend training/behavior classes with your new dog unless you are experienced dog owners and your adoption coordinator is comfortable with your experience.  This requirement is for the benefit of you and your puppy so if you experience behavior issues you have a point of contact.  PLEASE - Think long and hard before adopting a puppy - consider the lifestyle change this puppy will come with - he cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours at a time until he's older, puppy proofing your home will be necessary, puppies scratch and nip so if you have small children, can they handle this?? Story
Teegan, is a 4 year old Boxer mix adopted from an elderly neighbor in 2019 that couldn't handle her energy. Teegan is very playful and fetch is her favorite activity, whether a ball or frisbee, she is full of energy. She does know how to be on a leash. She is a very curious lady and has to know what is happening all the time and will follow you around. She can be afraid of her own shadow at times, but if you call her, she goes 0-100 and she'll be there in a flash. Teegan would be good in a new home with a young family with children to keep her active and busy. She thinks she is a lap dog and loves cuddling on the couch or along side you in a recliner. The reason I need to rehome her is because I recently lost my husband on December 15, 2023 and I retire in April 2024. I am relocating and it pains me that I can't take her with me to a new State. I have two chihuahua papillion mix that my husband brought in to the relationship and they are going on 17. I need to take care of them.
