Story
Meet Rexie - Take My Lead Dog Rexie is a young and energetic pup. He is about ten months old and is always ready for an adventure. He would love to be a hiking buddy, to be a running buddy, and would likely excel at agility. Rexie has received a Take My Lead grant to work on some of his over excitement that he is experiencing in the shelter setting which is not ideal for a young energetic dog. We are confident that once out of a shelter, and with some FREE training through his Take My Lead grant from Handsome Dan's Rescue, he will learn to be the best pup he can be. Story
Introducing the most handsome 1 yr old boy, Dave. The beginning of Dave’s life wasn’t the best, but you would never know it as this boy’s smile lights up the room and he is just full of love. 💙🐾 Dave is smitten with every person he meets and is also absolutely fantastic with other dogs and has a wonderful submissive personality. Dave seems to be housetrained and isn’t a destructive boy though he does love romping around with any and all toys. 🐶❤️ Dave adores attention and two and four legged friends and would love a family that includes him on their adventures, whether they be hikes or snuggling up for a Netflix marathon. This handsome boy still gets excited about greeting new people so either a family that is willing to work with him on that or one without toddlers would be best.🫶🏻 This gorgeous, loving boy is ready to live the good life with his forever family and he’s hoping it might be you! 🎉😊 If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at http://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN RHODE ISLAND AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED. Story
Cinder's story is alitte sad but can have a happy ending if you are the family that can give her that ending. Cinder was in a house fire that she escaped with some minor burns; however, several of her puppies did not survive. Only 4 of the 11 were found ok and they have already been adopted. Cinder and another dog ( black lap mix ) were the only adults we found and are now being posted for adoption. Cinder's owner was not to return and family members asked us to rehome the puppies and the adult dogs. Cinder has some minor scaring but it is not noticeable. Her fur has grown back in and she is healthy, loving and affectionate and in need of a home. Please consider Cinder as a new family member to love and be loved. She is completely vetted, spayed, microchipped and heart worm negative. Please consider this sweet deserving girl who loves everyone she meets. RPACI is a non profit rescue, and currently possess our 501C3 to operate as such. Please visit us on Facebook: Rebecca's Paws and Claws in Remlap and our website: www.rpacirescue.org. All dogs from this rescue are transported from Alabama to the New England area and delivered in RI. Each dog will come fully vetted. Price also includes transportation and a Health Certificate as required by law. There is a 100.00 deposit required at the time of adoption to secure the transport crate. The remainder of the fee will be paid once you pick up the dog. Naturally the 100.00 comes off the total owed at pick up. It will be refunded if for any reason you decide you do not want to adopt, unless the transport has already left.with the dog. To get a application please go to: saveapreciouspaw@gmail.com

Story
Thank you for your interest in adopting. All of our dogs live in Alabama foster homes and transport to New England when they are adopted. If you are approved to adopt one of our dogs, you will speak to the foster family and you can request FaceTime, video or more pictures once your application is approved. Every dog is spayed or neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, multiple dewormings, and pet receives parasite prevention. Dogs over six months are heartworm tested, and any dog that has been through treatment is fully disclosed. All dogs live in foster homes, in a family environment. Every dog comes with its health records. Cupcake is a 8 1/2 week old mixed breed with Lab, Staffordshire terrier, and other breeds blend. Cupcake currently weighs 8-9 lbs. we expect her to grow to a medium size dog. Cupcake is fostered with some of her littermates. We have not start crate training because of her young age, But she will be familiar with the crate before she goes to her home Cupcake is scheduled for spay on July 3 and she will be ready to meet her family the weekend of July 12 when she transports to New England. She will be 13 weeks at that time. You can adopt her now and stay in touch with her foster family for updates on her We have been sending Dogs and cats to New England homes for 15 years. We have to pay a transporter for every dog we send to a New England home. We do not own the van. Every dog sees a veterinarian before they leave for a health check and health certificate, which also comes with a cost. Total adoption fee for this sweetheart is $585.00, which is our local fee with transport and health certificate costs. Hasn’t changed in years. $345 adoption fee $175 transportation $65 vet check health certificate Serious adopters should fill out the application online and someone will get back to you. Story
Rufus is currently in RI and looking for a 'furever' home! Meet Rufus, a mostly white pocket pittie mix with the most handsome hazel eyes. He's equal parts playful and cuddly and has a great disposition with people and other dogs. Rufus loves his humans and feels much more at ease when they are around - a home where you're home most of the time or have the ability to enroll him in doggie daycare would be best so he never worries about being alone ever again! You'll find him playing with his squeaky toys, napping, and observing the neighborhood from his favorite window when you're hanging at home with him. Rufus is working on house training and learning the ropes of being in a home, making strides every day. While not a requirement, we do think Rufus would benefit from having another playful dog companion, or a home where he can regularly socialize with other canine pals. He is still getting used to the leash and going for walks - a fenced yard where he can run around and feel secure would be best. Rufus loves to go on hikes. He is such a lovebug and so ready to start his next chapter. Are YOU ready to find your new best friend? If you are interested in adopting this dog please complete the adoption application at www.rhodehomerescue.org/adoption-form to become a pre-approved adopter. If you were already approved through Rhode Home Rescue within the last 6 months, contact us today!
