Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Howzer is with our partner rescue in LA and can come to NJ with an approved foster or adopter Howzer was found badly injured beneath someone’s home—broken, hurting, and in unimaginable pain. But even then, this brave pittie mix never growled or gave up. He seemed to know the people who found him were there to help. After surgery, rest, and so much love, Howzer is nearly healed and working hard to strengthen his back leg. Now he’s ready for the life he’s always deserved: a family, a soft bed, dog friends to play with, and treats—because snacks are absolutely the way to this sweet boy’s heart. Howzer loves other dogs, loves to play, and loves with his whole heart. He survived the hard part. Let’s find him the beautiful forever home waiting on the other side.    Howzer is up to date on vaccines and tested negative for heartworm.  He has been neutered and microchipped. His adoption fee is $500.  Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through, they deserve a loving, committed home. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 17, 2026, 2:54 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Lisa is with our rescue partner in Louisiana is available to come to NJ if we find a foster or adopter. Meet Lisa – the Life-Loving Goofball Who Got a Second Chance ❤️  Lisa’s story almost ended far too soon… but thanks to a foster stepping up in the nick of time, she’s now safe, loved, and ready for her real happily ever after. This girl is incredibly dog friendly – she thrives with furry friends and loves the company of a confident canine buddy who can help show her the ropes. She may be a bit too excited and bouncy for very young children, but older kids are definitely her jam! Lisa has already mastered many home skills: ✨ 100% potty trained ✨ Crate trained (she may whine a bit at first but settles quickly) ✨ Walks on a leash — just needs a strong handler because she’s enthusiastic! She LOVES toys and treats and is always ready for fun. But she also carries some fear from her past… anything long — like sticks or long objects — sends her into a nervous retreat, so we suspect she may have been mistreated before coming to us. We want the rest of her life to be full of love, patience, and kindness. This sweet survivor is looking for a family who will embrace her goofy joy, help her keep growing in confidence, and give her the secure home she deserves. If your home has: A dog buddy ‍‍‍Older kiddos A heart big enough to love a once-broken girl …Lisa just might be your perfect match. Are you ready to help her write her happy ending? Send in an adoption application today! Lisa is fixed, micro-chipped and up-to-date on vaccines. Her adoption donation is $500.   Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.NJ Meet Rosalyn! ❤️ Rosalyn is an unbelievably sweet, affectionate, and people-loving girl who seems to love absolutely everyone she meets! She has been through a lot, but her favorite thing in the world is still getting love and attention from her people. This Staffy mix loves dogs, toys, treats, walks, and being outside. She knows “sit,” is okay on leash, and always has her nose to the ground exploring all the good smells. Give her a fenced yard and watch her go — this girl can RUN! She may even have a little Greyhound in her! Rosalyn is wonderful with other dogs and is okay with cats, although she can be a little hesitant around them. She is also incredibly affectionate and loves being close to her people. And if you're eating, don't be surprised if she gives you a little bark to remind you that sharing is caring! Rosalyn is currently being evaluated for a medical condition that may be neurological and can cause loss of bowel control. We are still working to determine exactly what is going on and what treatment she may need. She may require medication or other ongoing care. She also has a chicken allergy, so she needs chicken-free food. Despite these challenges, Rosalyn is such a happy, loving, playful girl. She would do best with someone who is willing to give her a little extra patience and care while we continue learning more about her condition. A fenced yard would be a wonderful bonus for this active girl. Rosalyn has so much love to give and is ready for someone who will see past her medical needs and appreciate what a truly special girl she is. ❤️ Rosalyn is up to date on vaccines, has completed her heartworm treatment, and is spayed and microchipped. Her adoption donation is $500.  - Adopting an animal is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Coco  is with our rescue partner in NC and can come to NJ if we find a foster or adopter for her.    Meet Coco — the blue-eyed beauty with a brand-new beginning.  When Coco arrived at the shelter at only about 4 months old, she was missing much of her fur and had clearly been through more than any puppy should. But look at her now! At around 7 months old, her beautiful coat has grown back, her spirit is shining, and she is ready to leave her hard past behind for the loving home she has always deserved. Coco is the kind of girl who makes people stop and look when she comes walking down the street. With her snowy white head, sparkling blue eyes, and those wonderfully expressive ears, she is truly unforgettable. But her beauty is only the beginning. This sweet pittie puppy is playful, curious, and overflowing with puppy charm. She enjoys toys, but what she really wants most is you. Coco would happily trade every toy in the world for cuddles, attention, and time with her people. She is loving, gentle, and so happy when she gets to soak up affection from her human friends. She also loves making friends! Coco enjoys playtime with both male and female dogs at the shelter and has done wonderfully with kids, too. A rural shelter is no place for a puppy to grow up. Coco has already overcome so much, and now she needs a family to show her what it feels like to be safe, cherished, and home.   Coco is up-to-date on vaccines and treatment. She is already spayed and her adoption donation is $600.  Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Charlie is with our partner rescue in LA and can come to NJ with an approved foster or adopter For weeks, Charlie roamed the streets with a collar embedded in his neck. Every morning—and sometimes in the middle of the night—he would make his way to the same hotel. He had learned that there, he could get a meal and no one would hurt him. But Charlie wouldn’t let anyone get close enough to touch him. One of the hotel employees finally turned to Facebook and begged for someone to help him.  For his first 24 hours st the vet, he was **frozen in fear**. And then something changed. Charlie realized he was safe. ❤️ And slowly, this sweet, silly boy started showing everyone who he really is. One of the vet techs has been taking Charlie home with her at night, and we’re getting to know the dog underneath all that fear. In less than a week, we have learned Charlie LOVES head scratches—but sometimes, when a hand reaches toward his head, he still flinches like he’s bracing himself for what might happen. Then he realizes he’s safe…and comes right back for more. He follows right behind you, walking on your heels and randomly booping the backs of your knees with his cold little nose. He likes his blankets crumpled up into the perfect little nest. He chases his tail. He loves to chew. And apparently, he has declared war on flies and mosquitoes. He’s still learning about car rides, but he’s doing wonderfully—once he’s carefully helped into the seat, he settles in and watches the world go by through the window. Charlie goes potty outside and seems to understand that’s where he’s supposed to go, although his new family should expect that he may need some patience and consistency while adjusting to a new home. And with every passing day, we’re seeing more of him. More trust More silliness. More affection. More *Charlie* ❤️   His wound is healing extremely fast and once that is completely healed, he will be in perfect health! We truly believe this boy is going to be the perfect combination of **playful goofball and big ol’ cuddle bug. Charlie has already survived the hard part. Now we want him to experience the part he’s probably never had: A home. A family. His own person. And the chance to finally understand that he never has to be afraid again   Charlie is up to date on vaccines and tested negative for heartworm. Story
Mimi is a 10 year old English Bulldog. She absolutely loves people. Mimi was spoiled from a young and as our family has grown, she still demands the same attention, which she does not always receive. She needs a disciplined home and as we're expecting a baby, we're hoping to find a temporary or long term home for Mimi to live. We would share in expenses for vet, etc.
