Story
Say Hi to George!  This poor pup has spent his whole life in a shelter. At 1 year old he has never had a home of his own.    George was found as a puppy running the streets with his mom. She has since been adopted and it’s now George’s turn for happily ever after !!    He is quite literally a super mutt !! We did his DNA and it came back as ….  Boxer…27.1% Border Collie…15.9% Norwegian Elkhound…14.2% Catahoula Leopard Dog…14.1% Golden Retriever…13.5% Supermutt…15.2% (mix of GSD, Lab, and Mountain Cur)    Who would have guessed?!    He went through our prison training program and did great! But he will need a very patient owner to help him continue to grow and figure out life isn’t so scary. George is looking for a home with a fenced yard, no young children and some furry siblings. He loves having other dogs around !    George is potty trained, crate trained and does well on a leash. He is also neutered, fully vaccinated, HW negative and on prevention.    If you are ready to welcome George with open arms, please apply to adopt at www.prodogsohio.org/adoptables  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We appreciate your support, in order to help us continue to rescue dogs! Donations can be made via our PayPal account - info@prodogsohio.org. You must be willing to commute to the location that the pet is being fostered in order to be eligible to adopt. We do not ship our pets. We also require that you personally bring the pet back to us should the adoption not work out.   We do NOT negotiate adoption fees. All money goes to support our rescue operation. We are 100% volunteered based. We require your current dog(s) to be current on vaccines and heartworm prevention.  Apply online at www.prodogsohio.org, under the Adoptables tab. Due to the volume of apps and inquiries, we may not be able to respond to everyone.October 3, 2025, 10:13 am

Story
My name is Chloe and I’m about 6 years old. I’m a boxer mix but my energy level is medium to low. I'm a little on the shy side and my favorite things to do are: lounge around with you and watch Netflix marathons, chew on my bones, watch the squirrels in the front window, and go on short walks. I’m not quite sure what toys are for but occasionally I like a soft squeaky one. I am potty trained, like my crate with a soft pillow or blanket, I know my basic sit command, and do well with car rides.  I’m super sweet but I’m still a little nervous around some people. I just need a little bit to warm up and my bouncy personality will come out! I like other dogs but I really don’t know how to play with them too much. Older kids are ok, but it’s best the kids have good manners since too much chaos gets me nervous. I have plenty of kisses and cuddles to share, just give me time to warm up and I’ll give you my whole heart forever!  My adoption fee is $350 and you can meet me by submitting and application at rescuedohio.org! ##607636##

Story
Meet this incredible survivor! Found in Tipton County, this sweet boy was skin and bones, hairless, and overlooked by so many. We couldn’t leave him behind, and he’s come so far—from 17 to 36 lbs! With love, warmth, and plenty of food, his personality has blossomed. He adores other dogs, all people, his crate, and especially toys and sweaters. He’s house-trained, food-motivated, and ready for his forever home. Could it be with you? Once adopted he will travel via the Rescue Transport to his new family. They travel every weekend from Memphis, Tennessee to the north east, delivering pups along the way as far north as West Greenwich, Rhode Island. Transport is an additional $185. If you would like to make this cutie part of your family please follow the link below to our adoption application. Our turnaround time is typically less than 24 hours so please be prepared before you submit your application. https://forms.gle/APKvbgFJcaRvgKgk9

He needs to be able to get his energy out by going on walks, playing with doggie friends, and playing with his people. He loves to snuggle in bed next to his person at night. He is a great sleeper! Kenny is a shy guy and still working on his confidence, so he will need an adopter with a little bit of patience as he transitions to a new home. What makes this dog special: Kenny has a heart full of love and a playful spirit to match! This affectionate boy is a champion cuddler, always ready to shower you with hugs and kisses. He is smart, knows his commands, and thrives on adventure- whether it's going for walks or romping around with his medium and large foster siblings. This boy is ready for a person/family that loves hiking, running, and FUN. To ensure his safety and happiness, Kenny needs a home with a 5-foot fence, no cats due to his strong prey drive, older children and a doggie sibling. He is an energetic pup who loves to explore, making daily walks a must and playtime with doggie pals. If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving, enthusiastic companion, Kenny might be your perfect match. He is up for a car ride at any time. Kenny is the entire package. Incredibly sweet, highly intelligent, super loving, and an affectionate workout partner. Kenny is looking for a place to enjoy his life with a new active person/family. Kenny is fully housebroken, walks well on a leash, and loves nothing more than spending his time with his person or persons, whether that be playing or cuddling on the couch. Kenny thrives on a routine. He is a unique dog, and we are hoping for that special person/family to come through and give this sweet boy a chance at the loving home he so richly deserves. Kenny's adoption fee is $350. All fees include spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, worming, flea and heartworm current. All dogs over 6 months of age have been tested and are heartworm negative. If you are interested in adopting, apply at rescuedohio.org to become an approved adopter and a meet & greet can be set up once approved. ##1626790##
