Story
Frankie is a rescue we adopted in New Mexico about 16 months ago. There, she was the only dog in a house with 2 adults and 2 teenagers and things were great. When I had to relocate to South Carolina to live with my parents, we learned that Frankie and Lola (my parents 13 year old dog) HATE each other (serious biting each other) and must be kept apart. Frankie has gotten loose and bitten another dog (minor injury though). We cannot keep both dogs and Lola was here first! The irony is how loving Frankie is to her humans. She will cuddle on the couch and look at the attached video of her favorite game (Keep Away!) If you have a backyard with a strong fence and you dont have another pet, Frankie would make a great pet for you. Please note: While we believe Frankie would be good with children, our experience is only with adults and teenagers.

Story
• Gatlin (Gatty, Gatty-girl, Gatlinburg) is our special senior girl of the week!• She is considered one of our Unicorn pets since she has special circumstances associated to her adoption. • Why special? Gatty-girl is selective with who she chooses to spend her time. • How this translates is …. if she loves you (and there are many she loves), she loves you with everything she has. If she doesn’t, the same is true!• Gatlin is beautiful and bubbly. A girl who is in perpetual motion especially if a ball is involved!• She originally came to us from Animal Control, adopted out once and has now been back to the rescue for far too long-1526 days! • She is estimated to be a cattle dog/terrier mix. • Though she is a Senior, she is super playful in the yard • Her utter joy is playing with squeaky balls – you would think she’s pure LAB!!! • Hint, don’t come with just 1 squeaky ball!• Though given the choice of the ball and spending quality time with the right person, she will choose you!• A tired dog is a happy dog and this is true for Gatty Girl. • Daily walks are her favorite pastime. • THIS IS SUPER KEY: Gatty needs time to trust & adjust … though she can read you like a book. • We are ISO that special dog savvy person where together you can connect and live life enjoying adventures!• She needs to be the only fur baby in the household so as to make up for lost time. • Come and give her the time she needs, with calm and assertive energy … together you might find an amazing connection with this awesome pooch.• If you think you may be that perfect fit for Gatlin, make an appointment today @ 803-802-0902 and we will begin the process. If you wish to meet me, please call the Humane Society of York County at (803)-802-0902 to schedule an appointment. Please refer to our website for adoption requirements: https://humanesocietyofyorkcounty.org/adopt/adoption-process.htmlThank you for your support.

contact foster parent at nomagicpill+foster@protonmail.comBreakfast and dinner are the best things ever. Want my attention or need me to do something? That rattling box of dog cookies isn’t going to eat itself! Let’s just say I’m treat-motivated. I also like a rubber Kong, a Nylabone ring, or a good ol’ filled bone. I’ve also been known to play a friendly game of tug-of-war with a rope toy, but I leave furniture, shoes, and other human things alone.I`m still learning how to greet and be around other animals, so it`s probably best that I`m the only one in your life, mainly so I can have all the toys. Humans of all sizes are a-okay, though! If I do meet another doggo, it should be very slow and with a lot of distance between us to start..I am a champion car-rider. I read the room and match its energy. I tolerate a crate, but I still get a little nervous when my human leaves (those chew toys do help). Bottom line: I won’t takeup much room except in your heart–it’s all mine!

Please contact foster parent at maria.marshall28@gmail.comHouse brokenCrate trained •doesn’t like to go in, but once in is fine (quiet, not destructive, no accidents)•Will bark for a minute or 2 when you leave but settles quickly Did great with her bath! •Distracting her with ball helped•Was ok with me wrapping my arms around her to wash and being dried off with a towel LOVES balls and being outside •Fenced yard please!•Ball obsessed•Be careful when taking ball - have to distract her or trade for treat Very picky with treats, but responds well to affection and toys •no interest in PB Kong or lick mats•Takes treats gently when you say “easy”LOVES affection and cuddling, just needs a little time to warm up•A little wary of physical touch at first - would go stiff when I pet her - but then would immediately nudge me and burrow into me for more pets. More relaxed now and has even showed me her belly! •Lets me wipe her paws when she comes insideAdaptable medium energy - will run around in the yard and play with toys, but easily chills out insideCutest pittie girl strutInteraction with resident dogs: has only sniffed them thru the gate so far - sometimes relaxed and sometimes stuff bodied, but no growls or barks unless there’s foodJumpy when excited - working on it •Very excitable when going outside Not tested with kids, cats, or men Does well on leash! Doesn’t pull too badly with harness on Commands: getting really good with “sit” and “easy” (when taking treats)

Story
My daughter adopted her from CMPD shelter. She was working in CLT at that time but later she was transferred to another job in GA. She found a house but they don't allow her to have a pet. So because of her relocation we need to rehome her. She is a very sweet, sociable dog. Love to make friends. She's an outdoor dog, love hiking and long walks. We work from home mostly and she stays near without bothering. She sleeps in her cage more than 12 hours at night (from 8pm-8am) Love to cuddle. Love to play with other dogs (never been w cats)... We are willing to give her with her cage, Kong mattress, Kong harness, etc. Here the link of a pet trainer that pointed the Staffordshire as the best dog for families and kids. And she's like that.. https://www.instagram.com/reel/C3Na3ngoB2C/?igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
