Story
Love big dogs?? Keep on reading! Meet Ferdinand Blue. Estimated at 3 years old and a whopping 86 perfect for cuddling pounds. He is sooooo cuddly with people! He will lay in your lap and rub his face into you. He is such a lover boy. This larger than life fella is a stunner. His velvety blue fur is so soft and shiny-- makes you want to rub your face on it! Check out his feet-- styling with tube socks in the front and no shows in the back...lol. And his soft, gentle eyes....uff! Handsome, I tell ya! Blue isn't all looks...this guy has quite the personality. Though he's a big guy, he is a total softy-- and a sucker for little dogs! They're his favorite! He lives with multiples, and though he doesn't play with them, he will let them use him as a pillow or a bridge sometimes! They walk all over him and curl up on him for warmth, and he is there for it. Though he may look big and tough, bigger dogs intimidate him and make him uneasy. He prefers to hang with the littles. He is so patient with them and will share toys and hooves, which are his favorite! You just need to keep many of them around so that there is a hoove buffet. Plenty for everyone! He absolutely adores people-- so much! He will spin in circles out of excitement and try to greet with hugs. All that love will knock you off your feet but with a treat in hand, he is the best boy and will sit at attention and greet gently. A rub under the chin or booty scratch and he melts like butter. Once he loves, he loves hard. He may not cuddle with dogs, but he sure loves a cuddle session with his favorite humans! The way you know you have made your way to his heart is if he starts to lean in and rub his body on your legs like a cat. Now, if he brings a toy or his rope (he LOVES playing tug) and drops it at your feet, you are officially BFFs for life! Like to go on walks? So does he!! He is a perfect leash walker with a head halter, and currently goes on daily walks with his amazing foster momma. She has done an amazing job at basic training. Blue knows sit, down, "too much" with a waiving hand gesture, has excellent recall, "tst, tst" as a positive interruptor to get his attention, goes into his crate on command, and will jump in the car with a "load up". Car rides are his favorite! He will either lay full plop on the seat or stick his head out the window to entertain everyone with his lovely, flapping mouth jowls. Nothing better than having a dog that is fully accustomed to routine and crating. This big boy is very easy to manage, and thrives best with structure. He enjoys spending quiet time in his crate where he will happily wait for you to get back from work or work from home. Can't beat that! This gentle giant is very loving, but prefers a calmer, laid back home. Young active kiddos make him nervous and it will not be the best environment for him, but he loves and has lived with older kiddos, 13 & 17 year old boys, who he adored. I don't know about you, but if I didn't have a house full of dogs, I'd be ready to hit the adoption link. Don't wait too long-- a pup this amazing will not be available for long! He's currently fostered in Blaine, WA, but absolutely worth the drive for any interested adopters that live further! Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. We provide weekly socialization programs for our dogs through playgroups and group leash training classes available to all dogs in our adoption program, and Doggy Sleepover, Doggy Day Out, and Ambassador programs for our boarding dogs. There is a professional dog trainer on staff to provide support for our fosters and dogs, and an off-site dog trainer for dogs that need more extensive behavior modification. Story
What a great family dog this girl will make!!! She LOVES kids! Always cuddling, gentle, quiet, innocent, and does a happy dance! Chicken LOVES kids. She recently met a sweet 5 year old boy at the park and her eyes lit up and tail started wagging as soon as he pet her. Watch her video here: https://youtu.be/GKQsiN3-c9w?si=6BFHCePXqFsWp44L What I love about Chicken the most is how in tune she is with you when you give her attention. She will literally walk at a heel to give your hand a kiss and get a pat on the head. Her recall is amazing. She comes trotting toward you to get love. She met my five-year-old son, and acted totally comfortable around him and enjoyed getting attention from him. This girl loves to run with her person. Chicken would make a great girl for a family who enjoys running, biking and hiking. This girl has not slowed down with her age nor does she look it. Her favorite event is cuddling near her people. She loves soft blankets, laying near your feet while you work and cozying into your side on the couch. She doesn't even mind sharing her couch and you with other dogs. Chicken is a large mature girl that still has a lot of pep in her step. We think she is about 7ish years old. Chicken loves going to the river and wading in the water. She is the perfect girl to take along with the family. Chicken shows no signs of not being able to hang with an adventurer. When out at the park she is perfectly behaved. Perfect car rider and easy to handle. Chicken Nugget is a confident older girl that does well with other dogs. She isn't incredibly playful but would enjoy a home with another easy going dog. Her current foster has a male Staffordshire terrier and she loves to lounge with him on mom's bed. Chicken Nugget is currently in Texas and ready for a virtual meet and greet. We are happy to answer any questions you might have. Story
Duke says he would prefer a home with squirrels to chase in a big backyard and a cozy couch to squeeze his 62 pounds into so he can get his love scratches on. His age is a complete guess. He may be younger. He does not act like a senior. He is mature and laid-back, but does not act old at all. We absolutely adore his energy level, and how lovable he is. He is going to make a best friend for someone. " When I took Duke out for a walk on the trail this afternoon, he walked beautifully on leash! There was a dog on the trail that was not on leash. Yikes! Duke did not react at all; even though the dog was barking and walking towards us. I had Duke sit and wait patiently until the dog started to walk away with its owner. Duke would check in with me, and we kept walking. He had a great walk!" Duke is an 8 year old medium energy sweet soul that loves attention and going places. He went to a restaurant this week and stood patiently next to the table while we ate dinner. He did not jump on people or bark, or do anything embarrassing. He sat for french fries on command, greeted the children, and wagged his tail when every new person came up to say hello. He did not bark or snap towards other dogs. He was a pleasure to have around out in public! He will jump right into the car and sit in his assigned chair like a perfect gentleman. His manners are impeccable in the car. Fall in love with DUKE: https://youtu.be/NU9U3hKYQ_o When taking him to the park to walk, he was a quiet boy the entire time. He wouldn't have cared if a stranger wanted to say hello. The kids playing loudly in the background didn't bother him at all either. Dogs would stroll by and he would want to meet, but he never once barked or growled at another dog. Now once Duke gets a bit of exercise down, his leash skills of pulling improve well.... until he sees those pesky squirrels. He thinks they secretly torment him!! Duke is dog friendly but being a senior gentleman, he doesn't want to play or rough house. His perfect dog mate would be an easy going female or an older female girl who knows how to relax. Relaxing is Duke's jam! Duke is fostered in Texas! We would love to do a virtual meet and greet and answer any questions about this boy. See this little dynamo here: https://youtube.com/shorts/xAGgY74272Y?feature=share Speaking of kids, Tamera's done well with her human foster's grandson, showcasing her gentle and loving nature. She's a confident girl who isn't intimidated by big dogs, making her the perfect companion for families with children or other four-legged friends. While Tamera's still mastering the art of crate training, she's a pro at sharing—whether it's her food with other pups or toys during playtime. Just watch out for those toys, though—Tamera has a knack for turning them into confetti! But don't worry, she's a quick learner and takes correction like a champ. On leash, Tamera's making strides but might need a little extra help to perfect her walking etiquette. However, she's a natural at agility cones and loves zipping through tunnels and weaving through poles for fun. Tamera's ideal home would include a yard to explore and another playful pup to keep her company. But if there's no canine companion, an active family or couple willing to provide plenty of enrichment and adventure will do just fine. Though she's only encountered a cat once, Tamera's curiosity outweighs her hunting instincts, and she's more interested in watching small animals than chasing them. So, if you're looking for a furry friend to join you on all your escapades, Tamera might just be the perfect match for your family! From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $62 surcharge for transport. Story
Sawyer is a “Pocket Bully” born in September 2018 with a cleft lip, cleft palate, and spina bifida. He is currently eating and drinking safely on his own and we don’t believe his cleft lip/palate will require any surgical intervention. Sawyer will always need a little extra supervision to make sure he doesn’t eat anything dangerous for him, and will never be able to safely eat wet or goopy foods like canned food, peanut butter, yogurt, or any other liquids other than water. But otherwise he is expected to live a long, healthy life. The spina bifida causes Sawyer to be incontinent and to have some weakness in his back legs. He can walk and get around very well, but he will be in diapers for the rest of his life. He is a very happy, spunky pup and is friendly with humans and other dogs. He needs a committed home willing to give him the extra care he needs to thrive. Sawyer has been neutered, is current on vaccinations, has tested negative for heartworm and is also micro chipped. If you are interested in adopting, please complete our online adoption application at www.uaaf.org. Story
This goofy meatball is Peanut Butter (PB to his friends). He is around 3 years old, just under 40 lbs. and came to us from an overcrowded local shelter. He wasn’t doing well in the shelter and needed surgery for a cherry eye and some training in how to be a good dog. BP has been staying with our friends over at B-Hyve K9, who are helping him get some training that he so desperately needs. So far, he’s doing very well with his training classes. PB will need to be an only pet. He is a very sweet boy, but he loves his humans and isn’t really willing to share. PB would do best in a home without a lot of activity and without small children (teenagers and older, please). He’s doing well with his house training, too. To make sure he’s as successful as he can be in his new home B-Hyve K9 has offered 6 lessons to his adoptive parents as a follow-up, to help his new family continue down the positive road he’s on. PB is quite the character and is looking for a quiet home with just one or two people who will give him the love, attention and training he needs to be the best boy he can be. We are looking for a family willing to continue his training with B-Hyve K9 and improve his quality of life. PB has had his cherry eye repaired, has been neutered, is up to date on vaccinations, has tested negative for heartworm and he is also microchipped. If you are interested in adopting, please complete an application on our website (uaaf.org). For more information, call/text Maryjo at 801-809-0602 or email maryjokorb@gmail.com.
