Story
What a great family dog this girl will make!!! She LOVES kids! Always cuddling, gentle, quiet, innocent, and does a happy dance! Chicken LOVES kids. She recently met a sweet 5 year old boy at the park and her eyes lit up and tail started wagging as soon as he pet her. Watch her video here: https://youtu.be/GKQsiN3-c9w?si=6BFHCePXqFsWp44L What I love about Chicken the most is how in tune she is with you when you give her attention. She will literally walk at a heel to give your hand a kiss and get a pat on the head. Her recall is amazing. She comes trotting toward you to get love. She met my five-year-old son, and acted totally comfortable around him and enjoyed getting attention from him. This girl loves to run with her person. Chicken would make a great girl for a family who enjoys running, biking and hiking. This girl has not slowed down with her age nor does she look it. Her favorite event is cuddling near her people. She loves soft blankets, laying near your feet while you work and cozying into your side on the couch. She doesn't even mind sharing her couch and you with other dogs. Chicken is a large mature girl that still has a lot of pep in her step. We think she is about 7ish years old. Chicken loves going to the river and wading in the water. She is the perfect girl to take along with the family. Chicken shows no signs of not being able to hang with an adventurer. When out at the park she is perfectly behaved. Perfect car rider and easy to handle. Chicken Nugget is a confident older girl that does well with other dogs. She isn't incredibly playful but would enjoy a home with another easy going dog. Her current foster has a male Staffordshire terrier and she loves to lounge with him on mom's bed. Chicken Nugget is currently in Texas and ready for a virtual meet and greet. We are happy to answer any questions you might have. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. We provide weekly socialization programs for our dogs through playgroups and group leash training classes available to all dogs in our adoption program, and Doggy Sleepover, Doggy Day Out, and Ambassador programs for our boarding dogs. There is a professional dog trainer on staff to provide support for our fosters and dogs, and an off-site dog trainer for dogs that need more extensive behavior modification. Story
Duke says he would prefer a home with squirrels to chase in a big backyard and a cozy couch to squeeze his 62 pounds into so he can get his love scratches on. His age is a complete guess. He may be younger. He does not act like a senior. He is mature and laid-back, but does not act old at all. We absolutely adore his energy level, and how lovable he is. He is going to make a best friend for someone. " When I took Duke out for a walk on the trail this afternoon, he walked beautifully on leash! There was a dog on the trail that was not on leash. Yikes! Duke did not react at all; even though the dog was barking and walking towards us. I had Duke sit and wait patiently until the dog started to walk away with its owner. Duke would check in with me, and we kept walking. He had a great walk!" Duke is an 8 year old medium energy sweet soul that loves attention and going places. He went to a restaurant this week and stood patiently next to the table while we ate dinner. He did not jump on people or bark, or do anything embarrassing. He sat for french fries on command, greeted the children, and wagged his tail when every new person came up to say hello. He did not bark or snap towards other dogs. He was a pleasure to have around out in public! He will jump right into the car and sit in his assigned chair like a perfect gentleman. His manners are impeccable in the car. Fall in love with DUKE: https://youtu.be/NU9U3hKYQ_o When taking him to the park to walk, he was a quiet boy the entire time. He wouldn't have cared if a stranger wanted to say hello. The kids playing loudly in the background didn't bother him at all either. Dogs would stroll by and he would want to meet, but he never once barked or growled at another dog. Now once Duke gets a bit of exercise down, his leash skills of pulling improve well.... until he sees those pesky squirrels. He thinks they secretly torment him!! Duke is dog friendly but being a senior gentleman, he doesn't want to play or rough house. His perfect dog mate would be an easy going female or an older female girl who knows how to relax. Relaxing is Duke's jam! Duke is fostered in Texas! We would love to do a virtual meet and greet and answer any questions about this boy. Story
Meet Tamera, the fun-loving 6-month-old girl with a heart as big as her playful spirit! At 36 pounds, she's the perfect miz of sweetness and fun! Tamera is a social butterfly who loves on being out and about, especially if it means hopping in the car and cruising around in her comfy car seat. This little dynamo is a socialite among dogs, enjoying playtime with all her furry friends, big or small. Whether it's running around with her foster siblings or chasing her favorite 6-year-old grandson in the backyard she's quite the life of the party. See this little dynamo here: https://youtube.com/shorts/xAGgY74272Y?feature=share Speaking of kids, Tamera's done well with her human foster's grandson, showcasing her gentle and loving nature. She's a confident girl who isn't intimidated by big dogs, making her the perfect companion for families with children or other four-legged friends. While Tamera's still mastering the art of crate training, she's a pro at sharing—whether it's her food with other pups or toys during playtime. Just watch out for those toys, though—Tamera has a knack for turning them into confetti! But don't worry, she's a quick learner and takes correction like a champ. On leash, Tamera's making strides but might need a little extra help to perfect her walking etiquette. However, she's a natural at agility cones and loves zipping through tunnels and weaving through poles for fun. Tamera's ideal home would include a yard to explore and another playful pup to keep her company. But if there's no canine companion, an active family or couple willing to provide plenty of enrichment and adventure will do just fine. Though she's only encountered a cat once, Tamera's curiosity outweighs her hunting instincts, and she's more interested in watching small animals than chasing them. So, if you're looking for a furry friend to join you on all your escapades, Tamera might just be the perfect match for your family! 🐾 Meet Jessica! 🐾 Hello! My name is Jessica, and while I might look solid and stunning on the outside, I'm all about cuddles on the inside. Don't be surprised if I try to climb into your lap—it's my favorite spot, even if I'm a bit larger than your typical lap dog! I'm the epitome of high energy and need plenty of space to run and enjoy daily walks to keep me happy and healthy. I'm also sharpening my skills with basic commands like sit and stay, and I love toys that squeak! While I adore playing with dogs of all ages and sizes, I value my alone time, too, perfect for decompression after a fun-filled day. Rest assured, I'm well-mannered at home, being both crate and potty-trained. If you're looking for a loyal companion who can both pull you along on new adventures and pull at your heartstrings, I'm your girl. Ready to add strength and sweetness to your life with a snuggle bug like me? Story
Look at this girl! I personally am a sucker for dogs with resting sad face and Vienna absolutely has one of the cutest! Maybe she learned you get more treats if you look sad, or people offer a little more love to win your heart when you look a sad, whatever the reason, she knows it is working. This girl had me absolutely fawning over her. Look at her then come back to read more about her! With rescue we can never know a dogs breed or age with full confidence but we believe Vienna is 1.5 years old and is some type of pit bull mix but honestly, she looks like a few types all mixed in there. She currently weighs 70 lbs and is fully grown. We don’t know Vienna’s back story but we are happy to be part of her story moving forward. Found as a stray in a great neighborhood, it sure seems like this girl has been loved in this lifetime. For the next chapter of her life Vienna is looking for a home with another medium to large dog(s), older kids (she is a bit big and easily knocks over little ones) so 10 + is ideal, and a yard. She loves to really bounce around when she plays and because of her healthy size, a home with a yard would be best. Vienna is working on her leash skills but is learning quickly. Speaking of learning quickly, this girl is super treat motivated so if you have a little time and a handful of treats, this girl will learn the basics and a few party tricks with no problem. Vienna can be slow to warm up to the occasional person while also falling hard and fast for others, but all around, she is a friendly and loving dog. Now that I think of it, aren't we all the same way. She has all the makings of a perfect hang-out girlie. I can see the backyard barbecues, football watching parties, and marathon sessions of your favorite reality tv show with her by your side. Vienna is ready for a love connection and hopefully it is with you! Email kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions! Story
Oh my heck this boy!! Xander Lane will for sure keep you on you toes in the absolute best way. He is goofy, loving, full of personality, and will always keep you entertained and laughing. He's the type of dog that doesn't even necessarily need to be doing anything, just existing and he'll still make you smile with the cute little expressions he makes. One of my favorite things about him is how happy he is all the time and of course the way his tongue peeps out of his mouth. He instantly makes us smile and we know he'll make you smile too. Watch his video here: https://youtu.be/MG2VrOkorno?si=lfTSvRujHmhikXsz Xander Lane is a pittie mix approximately 2 years old and currently weighs 46 lbs and is full grown. He is the perfect fun size, not too big and not too small. He is exceptionally dog friendly and loves to make doggy friends. He is best friends with an 80 lb male that is just as goofy as he is and they love playing together. He also met a massive cane corse who is triple he size and he wasn't intimated by him or anything. All he wanted to do was play with him and Xander even took a correction from the big guy for playing too rough and did beautiful with the correction. Xander would love to be adopted out to a family that has another dog that he can play with and romp around in the back yard with. He also would do best in a home with a backyard. He loves to be outside, rolling around in the grass and just living his good ole doggy best life. Xander is medium energy that will require exercise and mental stimulation. He's not a marathon runner nor will he require that much exercise but a good romp in the yard, short run in the neighborhood, and I'm sure would also make a great adventure companion in the mountains. He will need to polish his leash skill and learn some basic obedience manners but he is treat motivated and eager to please. Which will help make any additional training that much more enjoyable. To our knowledge, he is crate trained and potty trained but may need a reminder about where the appropriate potty places are once in his forever home. We are willing to test Xander Lane with anything you need us to in order to ensure it’s the perfect match for you! We can make anything happen! Just let us know.
