Story
This is Teddy and with a name like that, you know what you’re in store for. We’re talking serious big hug energy. We all know the feeling of a perfectly timed hug, it’s a level of free therapy we all want and need- a true teddy bear in every sense! With his soft, cozy, warm brown fur and an irresistible charm, he’s the kind of pup that makes everyone feel better just by being around. From his absolute lover boy vibe to the the fun-uncle approach he has with kids- he is a swoon for the ladies and a dream wingman for the gentlemen. Watch Teddy's adorable antics! Now, let’s get down to business. While we can't be 100% sure about his breed or age, we suspect Teddy is some type of American Staffordshire Terrier mix, estimated to be around 3.5 years old and 62 lbs- a true hunk-of-love. Put the numbers aside, let’s talk about what really matters—Teddy’s personality and where he shines-with kids. He’s been lucky enough to be fostered in a loving home, where he’s mastered the fine art of house manners and is both house and crate trained. Yes, you heard that right—no messy surprises here! But his true crown and glory is how amazingly calm, patient, gentle and tolerant of it all when it comes to the littles. Truly, queue the AWWWW of a room full of women who got to watch a five year old squeeze Teddys neck with whole body for Teddy to turn around and lick his face with all the love a bully can have for a boy. Teddy has never met a stranger, kids are just little people and he is a fan of all the sizes, big to small. If that boy was put on this earth for one thing it’s to spread the warmth of what we call the “Teddy experience,” which starts with slobbery kisses and ends in tail-wagging bliss. He is a family-approved cuddler with a side of patient saint. Plus, he’s a stellar car rider, he will try to call shotgun but no matter where he sits, he will always be your passenger prince. And if you thought he couldn’t get any cuter, just wait until you give him a toy! His playful spirit goes into overdrive. Whether it’s tug-of-war or simply romping around, Teddy’s ready for fun and more than happy to entertain his audience. He’s a strong boy, so consider those play sessions a workout for both of you—mostly fun, with a side of exercise. When it’s time for a walk, he’s all in, eager to sniff every blade of grass! He knows basic leash manners, but his enthusiasm for it all can let him get ahead of himself but a handful of treats and you reminding him of what a good walk looks like and he will pace his enthusiasm. As far as canine-companions go, Teddy fills the “shoes” of at least two dogs and would love to be the one who single-pawed, lights up your life. With feline friends, he had a bit too much interest in our resident cat, Tom—so, no feline friends for Teddy. Not a deal-breaker in our book. If an affectionate boy who is real easy on the bully-loving eyes is what you are looking for then you have found him! The soft fur, the warm kisses, his adoring approach to kids, grade-a snuggles, and a true-blue loyal companion, Teddy is your boy! He’s ready to be yours! Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. It doesn’t stop there! Story
Meet Polly! Polly-Anna, Polly Pocket, Polly Pittie, Polly-wog, the cheeky nicknames are endless! And the names are all as cute and sweet as she is. If you are looking for quiet companionship and playful charm, this lovable lady is ready, waiting, and available. Fall in love with Polly here: Estimated to be around 8 or 9 years old and weighing about 50 pounds, Polly is the perfect example of mellow maturity. While we think she might be a pittie mix—maybe with a touch of Lab—her true breed and exact age is anyone’s guess, but what we do know is she’s 100% lovable, huggable, good girl. Don’t let her age fool you, though—Polly still gets the zoomies now and then and will happily share a playful moment before curling up next to you for cuddles. Polly is fortunate to be waiting for her adoption day in the home of a loving foster. This is wonderful for so many reasons. This gives us a front-row seat to the day to day girl Polly is while she gets to learn and enjoy the rhythm of home life. So far we know she loves cuddles on the couch, is very adoring of her person, enjoys standing in a baby pools to cool her paws, and will gently carry around a toy in her mouth. Her foster mom has shared, she’s a dream in her crate, settling in quietly without barking or whining. On top of everything else, she loves a car ride with the wind in her face! Polly would thrive in a calm, quiet home with a family who understands her laid-back nature. She’s happy to take short walks or enjoy a little time outdoors, but she doesn’t need a yard to be happy. Even though Polly is good on leash and redirects easily when needed, she would love suburb or country life over anything else. As we all age, the quiet life becomes the dream life! Polly gets along well with other dogs, but as a mature lady, she appreciates calm companions who respect her relaxed vibe. When introduced to new dogs she calmly shared space with small interactions here and there. Overall, its easy to see the Polly is for the people and will be more than happy as a solo-dog. A cat-free home would also be ideal, but Polly has done wonderful with everything else, enjoying kids and car-rides Polly is an easy, lovable dog who asks for little but gives so much in return. Story
Maribella is ready to be your family dog. She could be the perfect running partner, dog park going, play date loving best friend you never knew you needed. She can also just be your quiet napping companion while you work. Or your cuddle buddy/little spoon! She loves to check in with her people, making sure she is behaving and coming in for a boop here and there. She is trainable simply because of her people pleasing nature. She loves to boop people and other doggies with her cute nose rather than give kisses. It’s so funny! We love everything about this girl from her blue grey coat to her little cow lick down the top of her neck! She’s super soft and she has a little bit of a ridge down her back! Watch Maribella here: https://youtu.be/f9fzCgCaJDU?si=yblJtVDDTQwy9rep Maribella is great in the house and not destructive. She is quiet, not a lot of barking or whining, acts like she has lived in a home environment previously and has very good manners. She does not have any accidents in her kennel or free roaming from what we’ve seen. While her foster works on the computer she is a good girl and naps on the floor. She would make a perfect work from home companion! When you’re sitting there working on your computer every once in a while, she will want to show love, so she will jump up to give you a hug or she will try to slowly crawl into your lap. She is extremely loving and affectionate. She knows how to sit on command and loves rolling onto her back for belly rubs. This girl loves meeting new doggy friends. She gets really excited at first, so give her a chance to show you what a good girl she is. She has more of a rowdy play style, so we could see her fitting in a home with higher energy doggy siblings, or dogs that don’t mind showing her the right ways to behave. She became instant best friends with the dogs she met here at the rescue. Maribella loves praise more than anything in the world, so she will often look to her people to get approval throughout play time, which is great! She will be very tuned in with her person, whoever that may be. Could it be you? Maribella is one of those girls that is going to be deeply loyal, caring, and attentive to her family. She does all of this while still being respectful of new people without being overly eager. Maribella is very gentle with kids! She hung out with her fosters son, age 7 and seemed very comfortable from the beginning. With no hesitation at all, she wanted to give him kisses. She’s extremely affectionate, she’ll slip in gentle kisses here and there. Maribella really wants to hug you and she’ll put her head on your shoulder for a really long hug if you will have her. She will look up at you with her puppy dog eyes looking into yours, and wants to give and get love. She’s pretty confident, she doesn’t seem scared of anything, including when her fosters young son was throwing a balloon around in the air and hitting her with it. Her tail continued to wag. We could see her being a family dog with kids. We are happy to test this girl with whatever you may need. Just let us know! Ready to apply? **Buttercup’s Puppy Love is Just a Smooch and Tail Wag Away! 💖🐾** Meet the adorable Buttercup, a sweet little pup who is ready to bring *puppy love* straight to your heart! At just 4 months old and weighing ~20 lbs, she’s the perfect size for endless cuddles and snuggles. While we think Buttercup may be a *terrific* terrier /Lab mix, we can only guess her exact breed—what we *do* know for sure is that she’s 100% pure love! Buttercup’s heart is full of *joy*—she adores people and is always ready to cuddle. She’ll crawl right into your arms, looking for all the snuggles and affection you can give. She’s had a blast hanging out with other dogs and children, so she’d be a perfect fit for a loving family—or, if you’re looking for a *one and only* best friend, Buttercup is all yours! With the perfect mix of playful energy and cuddle bug charm, Buttercup is ready to bring happiness and light into her forever home. She’s still a little one, so we believe she’ll grow to be a small/medium-sized pup, with her mama being a 30-pound terrier mix. Smart and eager to learn, Buttercup has already figured out how to use the doggy door, and even knows how to sit nicely for a treat! She is already potty trained, crate trained and sleeps quietly in her crate at night. She's currently learning to play fetch! You will often find Buttercup sun-bathing in the yard. She loves to soak up those rays. She is currently fostered with multiple other dogs, as well as a cat too. She is interested in cats, but mostly leaves them alone. Her favorite game is to play tug-of-war and she enjoys chasing and wrestling with the other dogs. After a good play session, she's ready to snuggle up for a nap. Puppyhood is a big job, and Buttercup will need a family who’s ready to commit to training, socializing, and all the fun (and challenges!) that come with raising a young pup. She’ll need a family to continue those routines crate and potty training routines and give him the daily exercise she craves. Once she’s a little older, Buttercup will be your perfect hiking or walking buddy, or you can just show her off on your neighborhood strolls! 🌟 One thing’s for certain: Buttercup is ready to shower you with kisses and all the *puppy love* you’ve been dreaming of! 💕 Is your heart ready to open up to this sweet pup? Let the journey of unconditional love begin with Buttercup! by your side! ✨ Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/67959bd0163a4f43f50e2e54 Please email tim@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW or the NE at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! There are so many amazing things to say about Mondo Mahomes that it’s hard to list everything here, but we’ll certainly try our best. He has some of the most beautiful, soulful eyes I’ve ever seen. The way he looks up at you with so much love and devotion is something you just can’t comprehend, and his loyalty is unmatched. He’s so photogenic too—from his big, beautiful eyes to his floppy ears, all the way to his cute little tongue that sticks out from time to time. Watch his video and immediately fall in love with his personality: https://youtu.be/vpLa208XtRo?si=HEfw7GEn6ted7wnh Mondo is a pittie mix, approximately 2 years old, currently weighing 60 pounds, and fully grown! He is a rescue dog, and like with any rescue, it’s always a bit of a mystery—we cannot guarantee breed or age. What we can guarantee is that Mondo will be the light of your life, and once you adopt him, it’ll be impossible to imagine your life without him. Mondo is going to steal your heart with his irresistible smile. One thing you’ll never have to worry about with Mondo is whether or not he’ll love you. Mondo absolutely adores people. He greets everyone as if he’s known them his entire life. This boy already has a smile on his face and his tail wagging before you even say hello. He is the definition of man’s best friend—and a ladies’ man too! If you’re a single guy, Mondo will be the best wingman you’ve ever had. He’ll have all the ladies lining up to meet him! He loves to wiggle his way into your lap, lean into you for affection, and never passes up an opportunity to roll over for belly rubs. His charismatic charm and incredibly handsome good looks will be impossible for anyone to resist. Mondo is dog-friendly and has done great around many different types of dogs. He has been in playgroups with upwards of eight dogs, all with different personalities and sizes. Mondo will play in short bursts, but for the most part, you’ll find him relaxing in the shade during a hot day, rolling around on his back in the grass, or hanging out next to you on the patio, soaking up all the love. Mondo is a confident, happy-go-lucky guy who would be perfectly fine as your one and only, too. He doesn’t need the company of another dog to feel comfortable or entertained. In his mind, if he’s your one and only companion, that just means more belly rubs and affection for him! He loves being treated like the prince he is. When he’s not relaxing or snuggling, you’ll find him playing with a tennis ball or his favorite stuffed toy. His favorite game is tug-of-war, especially when his humans are playing along. Ultimately, Mondo loves doing anything that involves being with his people. He’s a people’s dog through and through. Mondo is incredibly smart too! He’s eager to please, loves snacks, and will do anything for a treat, making any future training even more enjoyable. For example, it only took him a few minutes to learn how to sit and follow the “down” command. He’s the type of dog you can teach anything to, thanks to his loyalty and trust in people. If you’re the kind of person who loves teaching your dog new tricks, Mondo is definitely your guy! Mondo has an adventurous heart and will happily be your shotgun-riding partner in crime, ready to go wherever life takes you. But he also has a calm side and knows when it’s time to relax. If you’re having a lazy day, watching football or your favorite show, Mondo will be right there with you. He’ll entertain himself with his favorite stuffed toy or chew while you relax, or he’ll find a cozy spot next to you on the couch. We believe Mondo would do best in a home with a backyard where he can explore, roll in the grass, play with his toys, and enjoy sunny days with you. We are happy to test Mondo with anything you need to ensure it’s the perfect match for you. Just let us know—we can make it happen! Questions? Story
First thing that came to my mind when I first met Sally Sweetheart, was how happy she is! This girl radiates with happiness and she always has the biggest smile on her face. She is one of those dogs that no matter what is going on around her, she is going to be happy. Her happiness is contagious and there will be no bad days with Sally in your life. She is very loving, with everyone she meets, even strangers! Sally is a total ray of sunshine! Watch Sally's video and feel the happiness from her radiate off the screen: https://youtu.be/DGEg2TWSD-A?si=oiqCSlDua5eJd9Tb Sally Sweetheart is a pittie mix approximately 2 years old and currently weighs 54 lbs and is full grown. She is the perfect size, not too big and not too small, she's just the right size. Sally is a rescue dog and with any rescue it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. If you're someone that wants to be able to take your dog places, like dog friendly restaurants, meet up your local brewery with friends, stroll through a farmers market, Sally is your girl! She loves adventures, being your best mate and does great out in public. So if you’re looking for a best friend to take with you on hikes, enjoy the outdoors and then join you in a nice relaxing evening at the house, Sally is the perfect bestie for you. We can also see Sally being a great addition to family with kids because how loving and people oriented she is. We have not yet seen her around kids just yet but we can absolutely test that for you. Just based off what we know already, we believe she would be a great family girl. Sally is very dog friendly and has been around so many different types of dogs and has done beautifully with all the dogs she has met. She has been around shy dogs, dogs that are rude and pushy, dogs that rough housing around her, and dogs that are calm like her and she does great. Sally is not a playful lady with other dogs. She gives off more of the laid back chill hangout type of vibes. So when she is around dogs that are all about play and have a more rowdy play style, she will give a very subtle "hey, I'm not the playful type" kind of boundary correction to those dogs and she goes on about her business. Which is for the most part, hanging out in the yard and enjoying the fresh air. She doesn't mind if dogs are playing around her having a good time, she is just the type that isn't interested in playing. She is more people oriented than anything and loves to be around people. In a home she would be best placed with a medium energy aloof male that enjoys going on walks and adventures tougher, enjoys the company of another dog, and one that isn't all about play all the time. Sally has no problem the only dog in your life either and being the center of your world. She does not need the company of another dog to help her feel comfortable and open up nor does she need another dog to fulfill her energy needs. She is very calm and relaxed already and would be perfectly fine being your one and only. Sally is very smart, treat motivated and eager to please! She is learning how to sit and loves learning new things. Anytime you're with her and teaching her something new, she just beams with happiness and you can tell she is loving every minute of it because she won't take your eyes off you! She is so attentive! Sally walks great on a leash and hardly ever pulls. Even when she sees a squirrel out on a walk, the squirrel will catch her attention but she's not pulling to go towards the squirrel and even if she does, she is very easy to redirect. Sally is crate trained and potty trained as well and has great house manners. We are willing to test Sally Sweetheart with anything you need us to in order to ensure is a perfect match for you. We can make anything happen! Just let us know.
