Good with dogs, Needs special attention, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Tundra was found roaming the streets by animal control. He was taken to the local shelter where he was adopted after a Lil while. Due to no fault of his own, his adopter needs to rehome him asap and doesn't want him to go back to a shelter. He had never lived inside but he does fine with it. He enjoys playing with his fur sister but does not know how to play with a human. Also, if giving him a snack, lay in flat in your hand or place on the floor. If you try to hand it to him he will take your whole hand in his mouth! Does not bite... Serious health issues have Caused the owner to be unable to take care of Tundra properly and get him the help he needs. If you can help him please reach out to us. He is a sweet boy! He suffers from anxiety and I'm sure it's from his life on the streets. The proper medication..(maybe), along with training, patience and love would help him so much!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Update 10/30/23Due to Simba's long residency in the rescue, he recently moved foster homes for a change of scenery and is doing great!  His new foster mom says he is super smart, super food motivated, and super snuggly.  He is the best walking buddy, and is a dream on the leash.  He loves to say hi to everyone.  Don't let his age fool you, because he has plenty of energy when he wants to.  He is doing well with the cat in the house, and has picked up the household routine very quickly.Update 2/1/23Simba is very handsome and a gentle soul. He is crate trained and house broken, dog selective but good with cats and kids. He loves to go for walks and car rides. Simba loves relaxing and snuggling on the couch. He has lots of tickle spots, give him a scratch and his legs get to going. He will alert you when someone is at the house, but Simba is friendly with all guests. He knows basic commands, sit, down, and paw. His foster family did nickname him 'Fatty' because of how food motivated he is :).Even though Simba is an older guy, he does not act his age. He is full of life and loves to play. Simba is an awesome dog and has very loving eyes. Look into his eyes and you will melt and fall in love.Simba did complete his full Heartworm treatment in August.Update 8/10/22 Simba is very handsome and a gentle soul. He is crate trained and house broken, good with other dogs and kids, and loves to go for walks and car rides. Simba loves relaxing and snuggling on the couch. He has lots of tickle spots, give him a scratch and his legs get to going. He will alert you when someone is at the house, but Simba is friendly with all guests.  6/25/22Simba just recently joined our rescue. So far we can say he is fantastic with dogs and people and it is said he lived with cats. Simba will need to learn some basic doggy manners which we are sure he will have mastered in no time.He is heartworm positive and just went through treatment. We will post more updates as he settles into his foster home.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 27, 2024, 10:07 am

Story
Nyx has a shy, calmer temperament. She is a cuddle bug; she often times is my second shadow. She is mostly quiet; she only ever yips or barks when she's watching out of a window (something she loves to do) and someone pulls into the driveway. She enjoys brain stimulation toys (i.e. find it mats/lick mats/ roller treat-dropping toys). I love her with my entire heart, and her sweet nature captures the hearts of all those she encounters. Her one red flag is digging, and frog hunting. She's got a nose built to sniff out truffles for sure.

Story
Meet Payne, a remarkably handsome and friendly boy originally hailing from Georgia. Adopted at 6 months old, he unexpectedly found himself without a family at the age of 2. Payne's adoption occurred during the COVID period when everyone was staying home. Sadly, his momma, citing a lack of time, returned him to the shelter rather than back to his rescue. Payne had previously been in the shelter at 6 months old after his initial owner went to jail, and the situation was perplexing for him. When we received the call to pick him up, Payne was very anxious. Within 30 minutes into our drive, he began giving kisses and seeking comfort by placing his paw on my arm. I had to reassure him that he was okay. By the time we reached our destination, he transformed into a wagging, affectionate lap dog. Payne is in need of a loving home where he will be cherished as a true family member, ensuring he won't face abandonment for the third time or be returned to a shelter. Unfortunately, he wasn't vetted as required by his contract and promise from his adopter for the past two years, receiving only the initial care from his rescue. Now, Payne's vaccines are up to date, and he is scheduled for neutering, with a microchip in place. Dog-friendly and people-friendly, Payne has the potential to be an amazing addition to any family. However, he is strong and tends to pull during walks, so we recommend an active family capable of handling his strength, characteristic of his bully breed background.

Story
Introducing the delightful Aiden, a Texas-born sweetheart whose mother was rescued from the dog pound by a local organization before being transferred to Pennsylvania in April. Aiden, born on October 28, 2021, is a heartworm-negative, up-to-date-on-shots, and microchipped Boxer mix. Despite our best efforts to socialize him, Aiden remains quite shy, taking some time to warm up to new people and situations. However, once he does, he reveals his sweet, loving nature, coupled with an endearing silliness and playfulness, particularly with his foster family. Aiden is not only dog-friendly but also house-trained. For more details or to express interest, please don't hesitate to inquire. Aiden, this sweet boy, has been patiently waiting for too long to find a family to call his own.
