Tucker is a very handsome and loyal dog. Our family absolutely loves him, but unfortunately, his instincts and prey drive have made it not possible to keep him. We have two cats and he can no longer live with them. We have five children in the house, and he has always been absolutely wonderful with them, however, he is nervous with new people that he doesn’t know. He does warm up quickly, but a new person does need to take it slow. He has been trained to heal, come, sit, and lay down. He is extremely athletic, but doesn’t require a lot of exercise. We have another dog that he gets along with very well, I just don’t know how he would get along with other dogs. It is possible that he would be fine.

I enjoy car rides and am a perfect co-pilot. I only chew on toys for aggressive chewers. I don't bother anything that isn't a toy. I love the outdoors and playing with my foster canine brother. My foster canine sister is older, and while I stay in touch with her, I give her space to snooze or whatever. I have impeccable house manners, and the best place to be is by your side. Fran is a sweet and bubbly Boxer mix who lives for treat time! If you love hanging out in the kitchen, she’ll be right by your side, ever hopeful that any bag you grab holds snacks. Her excitement is contagious — though she’s still learning to sit patiently for treats! This gentle girl is slowly coming out of her shell and learning to enjoy cozy time with her dog friends. She’s incredibly submissive and hasn’t met a pup she doesn’t like. When feeling overwhelmed, Fran simply retreats to her safe spot — often her bed or the kitchen. Walks can be a bit scary at first, but once she gets going, she really shines. She’s working on potty training and improving every day. Pancake arrived from a Virginia Beach Animal Shelter. She’s been through a lot in the past couple months including soft palate surgery and kidney stones. She has since recovered and has been out on special food and hasn’t had an issue since. Pancake is very sweet and loving, but she prefers to be the center of your world. She is a cuddler and her best self when she’s in the presence of her human. Pancake does not like children, cats, and is dog selective. She would thrive as an only dog or with a very experienced handler. She is very compact in size, only weighing a whopping 35 pounds. Her tongue has a personality of its own :) Pancake would be ideal for a couple or a single person looking for companionship.
