Meet Tubbs! 🐾 Tubbs is a big-hearted boy in need of a new beginning. At just over 3 years old, this 105-pound American Pit Bull Terrier mix is full of love, cuddles, and personality. He’s house trained, crate trained, and rides great in the car—basically the total package! His current owner says it best: “He’s a good dog and super sweet to those who know him. It breaks my heart that I have to give him up, but I don’t have a choice. He would do great in a family with children.” Tubbs is a social guy who loves to play and soak up attention. He’s good with kids, other dogs, and even seems to do fine with cats (he’s lived near one with no issues). He’s never shown any aggression or bite history, though we do want to note that he’s nervous around people with dreadlocks—likely due to past trauma. Tubbs is up to date on shots, altered, and currently in foster with his owner but needs a new foster or adopter ASAP. If you're looking for a loyal and loving companion, Tubbs is ready to bring joy and snuggles to your home. MEET THE ARTIST - FRAN FRAN!! Introducing Fran — a sweet and bubbly Boxer mix who lives for treat time! If you love spending time in the kitchen, Fran is your perfect sous chef. She gets incredibly excited whenever you grab a bag (any bag!), convinced it’s full of treats. While she sometimes needs a gentle reminder to sit and wait patiently, her enthusiasm is hard to resist. Fran is beginning to come out of her shell and is learning to enjoy social time, especially lounging on the couch with her pup pals. She’s very submissive and hasn’t met a dog she doesn’t like. If she ever feels unsure or overwhelmed, she’ll quietly retreat to her safe place — usually her bed or the kitchen. Walks can be a little intimidating at first, but once she’s out the door, Fran really comes into her own. She’s making steady progress with potty training, though she hasn’t quite perfected it yet. Fran would thrive in a home with older children, as she can be nervous around the fast, unpredictable movements of younger kids. She’s looking for a loving, patient person (or family) — maybe with another dog who can show her the ropes. Fran came to us scared and unsure, but with a little love and time, her true personality is shining through. Meet Lola Lola is a very low energy, laid back, follow you from room-to-room kind of gal. Sadly, she has spent her entire life being a puppy factory and being overbred. She came to us all the way from South Carolina because her time was up at the animal shelter. Lola arrived with a yeast infection on the skin, severe allergies, and overweight. The girl does not miss a meal. She is currently being treated for the skin infections, but we are still trying to find out what foods she is allergic to. Lola has the most laid-back personality. She is the sweetest girl and will plop down wherever you are. She gets along with other dogs. She tolerates large and small dogs but prefers dogs that are calmer. She will give them plenty of warning if they are overwhelming her, otherwise she walks away. She has been tested with cats, and while she is very interested in them, she is not chasing them (between her weight and chill personality it's not worth they energy). She has taken a liking to children. She is being fostered with a toddler that makes her tail wag when she sees them. All in all, she's a wonderful companion!
