Meet Finnick! Finnick has been living in the shelter system since he was only 8 weeks old, but is finally in a wonderful foster home! He is a happy, friendly, intelligent boy who deserves a chance! Finnick can be shy around new people and may take some time to warm up. Finnick has really grown to like visitors in his foster home, and continues to make progress meeting new people. Treats go a long way towards making this boy your new best friend. He needs a home that will give him the time and patience to help him settle. Once settled, Finnick has shown to be pretty low energy and happy to lounge around with his people, soaking up all the attention. Finnick is crate trained, but may whine a bit as he learns a new routine. Finnick is SO smart! He knows lots of commands and tricks. The training possibilities are endless. Known cues: Get up, get down, sit, spin, roll over, lay down, paw, crate, place, wait/stay, drop it, and leave it. Good with Kids? Would be best with children over 10 as he can move quickly when excited but may possibly knock a younger child down by mistake. Good with Dogs? Finnick likes to walk with other dogs but isn’t the most confident with making dog friends so any introductions should be done slowly. Finnick can be a resource guarder, so we recommend for him to be the only dog in the home. Good with Cats? We do not currently know how Finnick is with cats.
