Story
Gus is an exceptionally affectionate guy who loves to play, cuddle, and nap. Gus loves humans and cats the most! He is not fond of other dogs and needs a home with no other dogs. He has a wonderful happy personality, never chews on anything he shouldn't, is perfectly potty trained and a true gentleman. He is loyal to his humans and loves nothing more than to snuggle on the couch with people. If you want a friend who will love you, love your cats, be sweet and affectionate, Gus is your guy. He just needs to be with someone who understands that he cannot be near other dogs.

Story
Casie #hmrcasie Warrenton VA Cassie is a little over a year old and has lived most on her life in a shelter or foster home. Approximately 55 lbs she is a thick girl with all the kisses. She just arrived here and as you can see in video handles herself well in new places. She is spayed and vaccinated/microchiped. Definitely a classic pitty couch potato in the making she would do fine with regular walks and handle a smaller living space well. Knows basic commands and is housebroken but like all dogs would definitely excel in a home wiling to continue obedience work and make learning a part of daily life. Crate trained as well. Will be cat tested shortly but was completely fine with a small dog. https://form.jotform.com/hailmaryrescue/hail-mary-rescue-adoption-applicati Hailmaryrescue.com Hail Mary Rescue

Story
Curtis 6/7 yr old 55 lbs AmStaff Terrier. Courtesy Post- Curtis is with one of Hail Mary’s fosters. To be quite honest I’ve never seen a dog more deserving of a good couch in a forever home than Curtis. When I asked Haseya’s New Beginning Animal Rescue how I could help with current overcrowding they sent me his info and medical report. This dog has overcome so much since Aug 2022 just to be alive and he still has a sweet disposition. He was taken in by Louisiana Animal Control in Aug of 2022 after being left for dead, tied up outside with no food, water or shelter. His “owners” had vacated property and left the dogs behind. Unable to leave and fend for themselves they were slowly dying tied to trees. His jaw had obviously been broken at some point and he was also dealing with a severe case of heartworm. It took his body months to be strong enough to handle the heartworm treatment and even then it was slow going to avoid more damage to him. He overcame obstacle after obstacle and he is now heartworm free and has been doing very well medically. He has been lucky and hasn’t been in shelter full time but has had a few foster homes over the past 10 months. They report he is great with other dogs, cat friendly and good with kids. Absolutely loves toys and enjoys playing. He is well past puppyhood and he is housebroken. His most recent foster mom in Louisiana sent a lovely letter up with him to help new parents get to know him faster. He has been well loved these last 10 months. Neutered and vaccinated he has tested negative for heartworm and with continued preventative will stay clean and his body will continue to repair itself. If you would like to give Curtis a furever home contact mysel for more info. If you would like to send a donation to Haseya’s I will post their links in comments. His medical bills are extensive and being a no kill shelter they provide treatment to many, many dogs.

Story
Spayed/Neutered: Yes Approximate date of birth: 01/20/2015 Weight: 65 lbs Dogs: Selective Turin loves spending time with people and seeks your love, attention, and companionship. He will be happiest in a calm home environment because he likes a laid-back atmosphere. He enjoys sunbathing on his outdoor kennel patio with his favorite toy next to him as a way to relax on nice afternoons. He loves playing fetch and he's a huge fan of soccer. Team members usually play soccer with him twice a day and he can't get enough of it. He's a great mix of low-key yet playful energy and he's very athletic. When Turin goes on outings with a TVR team member, he's a great co-pilot in the car and they say he is a perfect gentleman on leash walks, a great partner to join you for a stroll or a long walk. He loves to cuddle and is in heaven when you rub his belly. He dozes off in seconds once the belly rubs begin. If Turin sounds like he might be the right match for you, head to our website to fill out an Adoption Application. *Turin was found as a stray, so we do not have any background information on him.

Story
Spayed/Neutered: Yes Approximate date of birth: 03/21/2017 Weight: 64 lbs Vinny is an outgoing and playful boy who can't wait to have a home of his own. When he gets excited he can be a little mouthy in a playful, almost puppy-like way, but he's been working on his manners and he's getting much better day by day! Vinny loves toys and splashing around in the water, especially on hot summer days. He likes exploring new places, going for scenic walks and playing with other dogs. He likes to play wrestle and tumble so having a doggie playmate with a similar play style is important. When he hangs out with a TVR team member in the office or break room he is very relaxed and enjoys a calmer environment in comparison to the kennels which can be loud at times. He enjoys car rides, naps on the break room couch, and getting tons of attention. He just melts onto the floor when you start petting him! Vinny was found as a stray in a remote area in West Virginia, so we don't have any background information on him. You wouldn't know this boy has had a rough life because he is always smiling and so smart. He loves food puzzles and figures them out quickly! Vinny would be great companion for an experienced dog owner who wants to see Vinny flourish in the loving forever home he deserves. If Vinny sounds like he might be the right match for you, head to our website to fill out an adoption application.
