Story
Nixi was found abandoned in a grocery store parking lot. She is around three years old and a pitty mix.  She is sweet and loving and loves to snuggle. She is the perfect petite pitty size at 50 pounds.  A medium to low activity home would be best for Nixi.  She is good with other dogs.    Nixi has very well maintained hip dysplasia. At the moment we are keeping her on joint supplements and pain meds as needed (so far, only after big days of play with other dogs). There is a potential for surgery later on in her life but if cared for properly that may not be needed.  She walks really well on a leash with the occasional pull when she sees rabbits or squirrels. She can get up on the couch and LOVES to snuggle close to her humans. She loves other dogs and is good either way cats. She absolutley adores kids! Nixi is house and crate trained.  She is spayed, up-to-date on shots and microchipped. Nixi is being fostered in the Beaver Dam, Wisconsin area.  www.bemyfurevers.com ##2187476##

Wilma is being fostered in NJ. Hello from Wilma in NJ! Wilma just wants to be with a person and has aspirations of being a lap dog. She enjoys walking, but is not a runner, is attracted to other dogs and ignores the cat and rabbit she lives with, so the house stays peaceful. Wilma rides well in the car regardless of where we are traveling to, and waits patiently in the car during grocery trips. Napping is a favorite pastime. And anytime treats are involved she is definitely interested. Altogether Wilma is a wonderful companion. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Goose & Maverick are spectacular pups. They are kid and dog friendly. They are super snuggly, very smart, and great kissers. They have not met cats. Goose is about 3-4 years old, and Maverick is about 5. Goose has shown his dedication time and time again. When first found, he was on the side of the road with Maverick after Maverick had been hit by a car. While Goose was not injured in this accident, Maverick needed help, and Goose never left his side. Thankfully, Goose has more than enough love to show his dedication to others too!! Goose can be a bit shy at first, but once he warms up, he adores snuggling right up to you. He is medium energy and a bit more energetic than Maverick. Goose's silly antics are sure to keep a smile on your face! ? Maverick walks into places like he owns them. He has a big smile that lights up the room. He is a social boy and loves getting pets. He is medium energy and enjoys his walks just as much as he enjoys lounging. Emma is estimated to about 2-3 years old. She LOVES people, exploring, and cuddling. Emma is looking for her forever home after not being treated well by people in the past. Despite the trauma she’s been through, she is such a good dog. When she found herself on the euthanasia list in a Texas shelter, she wiggled her way onto transport to safety and joined Desert Willow Ranch and Rescue. Not one to waste a second chance, Emma is loving life! She is all heart and a big personality. She is full of passion and just wants to love and be loved. She eats, plays, and love with gusto! Emma absolutely loves toys and is a strong chewer. She is a smarty-pants too! She has aced all her basic skills and is expanding her knowledge while working with a trainer multiple times a week. After meeting so many unkind humans in her past, she is learning that humans can be kind. This passionate pup is looking for someone who will understand, respect, and continue to teach her. She has spent much of her early life advocating for herself, and now she is finally knowing what it means to be loved and advocated for. Emma needs to be an only dog.
