FINN is one of the calmest, kindest souls we have met. He is a loving boy who wants nothing more than to please his humans. He is always happy to see everyone and considers himself a world class snuggler. He soaks up affection like a sponge and has an endless supply of adoration to give in return. FINN is just as kind with dogs as he is with people. He absolutely adores them and is the kind of dog who can fit into any pack. FINN’s amazing disposition and confident nature make it easy to take him to all sorts of places. Plus, he loves adventure and is always up for some fun. He rides well in the car and minds his manners when in public. He is truly an all around wonderful dog. FINN knows to only chew on his things, has never pottied in the house and is well behaved in his crate when his foster mom isn’t home. He is an affectionate, well mannered, loyal dog who will be a great addition to any household. FINN’s furever family is going to be tremendously lucky to call this incredible boy their own! TURNER and HOOCH were born approximately January 1, 2024. Luckily these little nuggets were able to stay with their mom and siblings until they were 7 weeks old. This is an amazing gift for puppies in rescue. Being with their mom during this important developmental time is priceless. At 7 weeks old they went into their very own foster home together in order to get more individual attention and ensure they become happy and well-adjusted pooches. These gorgeous boys are just bursting with puppy love, puppy kisses, puppy snuggles, and puppy playfulness. They adore people, other dogs, and kids. They have been socialized a ton! TURNER and HOOCH soak up all the cuddles and affection they can get. They excelled at crate training and are mastering their potty training. They have an inquisitive nature about them and love exploring the world around them. With one of these kids, every day’s a great day! Their forever families will be hitting the puppy jackpot! Story
Are you looking to have your dog skills and experience challenged? Do you have the patience of a saint? Then Mighty is ready to test you. Seriously, he’s an 8.6 magnitude earthquake in a city without building codes. He is a rainstorm on a herd of Gremlins, after midnight… with a plate of food. For example: 1. Speaking of rainstorms – he hates them. As well as fireworks. Just about any loud, new, or odd noise scares him. He is even afraid of his farts. 2. He has the leash manners like some of those shoppers on Black Friday. You know, where the store is giving away an item to the first 200 guests. He just gets so excited sometimes he feels the need to jump up and grab the leash and walk himself. 3. Mighty has an allergy or several. No chicken for sure and probably no other poultry. Grains make him itchy, and sometimes he gets pink. 4. He’s one of those “blocky headed” dogs… pit balls, pot bois, pibbles, poblanos, whatever. 5. He’s nervous with new people, and he warms up to women quicker than men. Do you know that site with all the dogs who love the UPS guy? Mighty will not likely be making an appearance on that site. Here are some things we also know about Mighty. He completely loves his people. Once you’re in, you’re in for life. He likes to make new people friends, too, and that takes some time and treats… and those are treats without caramel color, because you know, the allergies. He loves attention, training, and showing his set of learned skills. He likes drinking from the hose, being outside with his people, and helping with yard work. If you have sticks, he’ll chew them. If you’re pulling weeds, he’ll shake them and spit them out…mostly. With patience, proper introductions, and some training, Mighty possibly could live with another dog. He previously lived with a female dog and a cat! He has not had the best of experiences with other animals since then, so we tend to err on the side of caution. We’ve loved this guy from the moment we saw him tied to a tree with a note stating, “My name is Mighty, …just tell me it’s OK Needs a good home and lots of love” We’ve come a long way from where he wouldn’t go near the car, wouldn’t go up or down the stairs, and only went outside to do his business. He now, cannot wait for the next car ride and uses the stairs like Rocky. (Except for the basement stairs, they’re still scary.) We’re not going to lie though; his forever home is one in a million. His new home will require experience, management, smarts, time and dedication. As they say, nothing worthwhile comes easy and nothing that comes easy is worthwhile. Mighty is a sweet, playful, loving dog, and is very loyal in his devotion to his people. He has quite a few quirks, but hey, who doesn’t? He has a long life ahead of him, and deserves an active, loving home that will always tell him, it’s OK.

Hey there, Tashi here, the 12 week old Staffie love muffin with a sprinkle of secret sauce! Yup, I've got a DNA test to prove it - mostly Staffie, but with a few other great ingredients that make me the one and only Tashi! Toys? Bring 'em on! I'll conquer them all! But what really gets my tail wagging? Other dogs! I'm all about the snuggles and playtime. Got a friendly fur sibling? I'm sold! Kids? Love 'em! Adults? Love 'em too! Heck, I spread love wherever I go. Everyone's welcome in my cuddle club. Now, about those feline friends - I've got mad love for 'em, but let's just say my affection can be a bit... extra. So, if your cat's up for a dance party, I'm game! Let me tell ya, I'm not your average pupper - I'm the MVP of puppyhood! Need a listener? Check. Housebreaking? Nailing it! And when it comes to bedtime, I'm your cuddle connoisseur - seriously, once I'm in bed with you, you'll need a crane to move me. Adventure? I'm strapped in and ready to go - just point me in the direction of fun! Water? My liquid playground! And don't even get me started on cushy beds - it's like sleeping on a cloud! Ready to add a dash of Tashi to your life? Let's make memories and mischief together - adopt me, and let the good times roll! *Tashi is currently in Texas. Her adoption fee is $195 local or $395 out of state with transport and includes current shots, microchip, spay and current on flea/tick & heartworm prevention. You can complete an adoption application for Tashi at the link below. If you have any questions email us at sgdrsa@outlook.com. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SGDR/Dog

Story
Attention all families seeking THE PERFECT FAMILY PET!! Cleveland is simply amazing. I know a lot of rescues say their pets are amazing . But he truly is and it's the simplest way to describe him. He's playful, would love to have a canine buddy or a human sibling to pair up with. He's confident but not alpha in any way. He plays with puppies that are a fraction of his size. He's kennel trained. House trained . Rarely ever barks. And let's talk about walking on a leash😳just watch his video. He eats his breakfast and his dinner with another male buddy about his size and both of them share so nicely. He takes treats with the gentlest of nature . Cleveland is in a foster home in Memphis, Tn with a 3,7 and 11 year old human friends , 3 male dogs and 1 female and he is simply perfect ! Once an application has been submitted and approved I will gladly discuss, facetime, send photos and videos , etc of Cleveland and answer any and all questions about him. We use a transport company called rescue vet transport to get our pets from Memphis, Tennessee to the north east. They travel each weekend, leaving Memphis Friday morning around 6 AM and making stops along the route all the way as far north as West Greenwich Rhode Island. Once they leave Memphis they start a group chat with all adopters and the two drivers. Transport is an additional $185. If you would like to make Cleveland a part of your family, please follow the link below to our adoption application. https://forms.gle/APKvbgFJcaRvgKgk9

Story
*Hank is part of our Take Time to Fall in Love Promotion. See our Adoption Procedures page for more details.* I was removed from a neglect situation with another dog so yes life wasn’t really fun and there was obviously not much love. Here I can be a little timid at first but as one of the Canine Care staff members described me, once I am out, I am like a big baby, climbing into your lap and soaking up all the loving and attention I am getting. They are also introducing me to toys and they look fun though I’m still not quite sure what to do with them. I’ll chase them and then run back to the dog walker for some more petting. Guess what, some may have thought I was not good with other dogs but let me tell you something, I am actually doing pretty well some of the doggies in play groups here. We are just having fun like kids would at recess. (Of course, this still means that I may not like every single dog) So if you have a dog, why don’t you bring him in so we can meet and see how we may do together.

*Royal is part of our Take Time to Fall in Love Promotion. See our Adoption Procedures page for more details.* Things I love: people, tennis balls, running outside, blankets, rolling in the grass, treats and more. I’m a very handsome guy, always ready to flash you one of my “signature” smiles. While I may be a little shy meeting some new people, a couple of treats is all it takes to become great friends. I am also pretty smart, and ready to learn more. I am very affectionate and a real cuddler. At night, I sleep deeply and snore loudly I’m told. This just means that I had an active day filled with a lot of loving and play time.

*Wendy is part of our Take Time to Fall in Love Promotion. See our Adoption Procedures page for more details.* Sit, down and paw, come…can I learn more? I am an active girl and I enjoy a nice game of fetch. When someone is getting ready to take me out, I can sometimes get excited but then calm down as they put the harness on me. Going for a long walk is fun. I also love water so bath time is always a special moment with staff. They can pick me up, even carry me like a big baby. I enjoy all this extra attention, you know the massage and shampooing. While not mandatory, a fenced-in yard would be awesome so I can run around. I like to keep fit so an active person would be awesome but most importantly, I want to be loved. Guess what, some may have thought I was not good with other dogs but let me tell you something, I am actually doing pretty well some of the doggies in play groups here. Story
Peppermint Patty is a 2 year old mixed breed who couldn’t possibly be sweeter. She came to Wisconsin in December filled to the brim with puppies & gave birth to eight perfect Peanuts in her foster home in January. After some much-needed relaxation & rest from being the best mama, she is ready to find her family! She’s about 40lb, is crate trained, & is doing very well with potty training when kept on a schedule. Peppermint is very food-motivated & eager to please, so continued training should be a breeze. She gets along great with other dogs & kids. Cats are unknown, but it’s assumed she’ll do just fine.Get your application in to learn more about her!DATCP#483538

Story
My name is Vinnie and I’m 70 pounds of pure love. I love snuggling my foster parents and mom says I’m a bed hog, whatever that is! My favorite activity is going for car rides; I'm an excellent co-pilot and give great directions to the treat store. Since I'm only 4 yrs old, I would love someone who would commit to continuing with my training. I'm an A+ student but since I get very excited around other dogs, I would prefer to be the only dog in the house and have all the lovin's for myself. I know sit, ask to go out for potties, and am working on my leash manners, but I am still fresh out of the shelter, so this is all new to me. My foster mom says it's probably best if I don't live with kiddos under the age of 12 or kitties because I don't know my own size. I dont get it, 70lbs is a perfect size lap dog! Most importantly, I need a forever family to hold my big, squishy face and get lots of kisses. I sure hope I can find you guys soon. XOXO Vinnie
