Bruno, a 3-year-old boxer mix, has been waiting for 8 months (that’s over 240 days) to be adopted. This boxer mix needs a forever home! Due to his previous owner and past it’s recommended he be the only dog with older children. He does get along with other dogs- however, is dog selective so would need to meet your puppy before the adoption goes through. He would need an owner who understands the boxer breed. His ideal forever home is cat free and small animal free. He’d be great in any housing situation, including an apartment as long as he gets his long walk every day.! Kennel trained. Meet Jersey - his story didn’t start out easy. He came into a local shelter as a cruelty case — painfully thin, covered in irritated skin from being left to sit in his own urine for days. But despite everything he’s been through, Jersey never stopped being sweet. With proper care, good food, and lots of love, he has made a full recovery and is now thriving in foster care. Today, Jersey is all about the good life. He loves being part of a family, soaking up attention, and curling up for cuddles. He’s crate trained, doing great with potty training, and is very food motivated (which makes continued training a breeze!). He’s also a wonderful house guest — quiet in his kennel at night and hardly ever barks. Jersey has a mild energy level overall, but when he gets the zoomies, watch out — he’s like a bull in a China shop in the most adorable way possible. He’s wonderful with other dogs and does well with kids, although can sometimes enthusiastic zoomies. He is very interested in cats and wants to play, but he doesn’t quite understand that most cats don’t share his excitement. He’s not aggressive at all — he would just do best in a home without cats, or with very dog-savvy cats who will confidently correct him. Jersey has overcome more than most dogs ever should, and he deserves a lifetime of love to make up for it. He’s goofy, affectionate, resilient, and ready to be someone’s very best friend. Mama Sylvia is the sweetest gal you'll ever meet. She has beautiful, soulful eyes and a soft, shiny silver coat. She is estimated to be 4-ish years old and she's about 51 lbs, but should be at least 55-60 lbs, so she's working on gaining weight in her foster home- she has access to graze on her food all day long. Sylvia is a heartworm survivor so she's on strict activity restrictions for a bit and is proving to be a low energy dog- so short walks to go to the bathroom and couch cuddles are her favorite things right now. She goes to work with her foster mom and does amazing riding in the car and chills at the office- all she needs is a soft bed to lay on and pets throughout the day. Sylvia had nine puppies who are all adopted and thriving and now it's her turn to find her loving furever family. She does well with the resident dogs in her foster home but would also love to be a solo queen and get all the loving for herself. Cats are unknown but she's mellow, so I suspect she'd do fine with feline friends. Sylvia is utd on all vaccines, will be spayed as soon as she's healthy enough and she's microchipped.
