Story
This friend has just arrived to us on transport from a high-intake shelter partner! When our friends are new to us, we are often unsure of their full background. Our staff will spend some time getting to know them and update their bio with more information as we learn. They are pending interactions with animals until they have been cleared by our vet. Please note that we often are unsure of house, crate, car, and leash training status upon arrival. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.

Story
Meet Roo Roo is an affectionate, couch-loving girl who bonds deeply with her people and thrives in a home where she can be the center of attention. She’s fully potty trained, crate trained, and enjoys the simple pleasures in life—snuggling on the couch, ear and face rubs, and flopping onto her back with her feet in the air while she happily chews on a toy. Roo loves getting outside and going on walks, especially when she can explore new trails. She walks well on leash, sits politely for her harness, and knows her basic commands. With her people, she is sweet, attentive, and very loving. Roo does have some challenges that are important to be upfront about. She is reactive to other dogs while walking on leash and will need continued, consistent training to help her navigate those moments. Because of this, Roo needs to be the only dog in the home and would do best with an adopter who understands leash reactivity or is willing to work with a trainer to support her ongoing progress. In the right environment—one where her needs are understood and respected—Roo is a loyal, affectionate companion who truly shines. She’s looking for a home that values connection, routine, and patience, and in return she’ll offer plenty of love, snuggles, and happy trail adventures. If you’re searching for a devoted best friend and are ready to commit to helping Roo continue to grow, she may be the perfect match for you. PLEASE NOTE: To apply to adopt, the application and adoption process can be found on our website greenmorerescue.org. Please read dog's bio carefully before applying. Adoption donation is $425 cash, $450 credit, debit or Venmo. This donation includes a microchip. ***A NOTE ON BREEDS: The dog's listed breed(s) is the best assessment made by a veterinarian, pet finder or rescue staff and is not guaranteed. Luna will be a big, beautiful companion when she grows up. She loves to play then sprawl out into a puppy puddle for a nap. If you love big dogs, Luna could be a wonderful match! Luna is house trained, crate trained, and knows some basic commands. She`s one smart cookie! She also loves to play and snuggle with other dogs. Story
Brutus will take time to get use to his new owner. So patience is a must.. I rescued him from a hoarding situation when he was 6 months old. He has been living on the farm for 6 years. He is use to my 2 other dogs, cats, turkeys, chickens, ducks, goats, sheep, and pigs. He needs land and loves being with the farm animals. He is set up outside and doesn’t like being in the house. I’ve tried many times to have him in but he just looks out the window the whole time. I am moving due to a break up and can not take any animals with me. I just want them to go to the best possible home… preferably a working farm…

Story
Meet Cosmos — the sweetest 5‑month‑old Anatolian Shepherd mix you’ll ever meet. If you’re looking for a puppy who melts into your arms like warm jello, this boy is it. Cosmos doesn’t just cuddle—he becomes the cuddle. The moment you sit down, he folds himself into your lap with total trust, as if he’s been waiting his whole life for that exact moment of closeness.Cosmos is a baby, and like all babies, he’s still learning the ropes. He’ll need continued help with house training and basic manners, but he’s eager to please and thrives on gentle guidance, routine, and encouragement. His heart is huge, his spirit is soft, and he wants nothing more than to bond deeply with his family. One of the most impressive things about Cosmos is how adaptable he is for such a young pup. He recently attended the Dogwood Parade and handled the entire 12‑hour drive from Georgia like a seasoned traveler. No fuss, no fear—just a calm, curious little guy taking in the world with wide eyes and a wagging tail. He greeted new people with sweetness, soaked up attention, and showed everyone just how special he is.Cosmos’ personality is truly out of this world. He’s gentle, affectionate, goofy in the best puppy way, and incredibly loving. He has that rare mix of softness and resilience that makes him a once‑in‑a‑lifetime companion. Anyone who adopts him isn’t just getting a dog—they’re gaining a loyal shadow, a snuggle partner, and a source of joy for years to come.If you’re ready for a lifetime of cuddles, devotion, and heart‑melting moments, Cosmos is ready to meet you.Cosmos's adoption fee is $250, which helps support their medical care and preparation for adoption. Story
River is a 2 year old female who LOVES fetch. We had to pry toys from her to get pictures without her face covered in a squeaky toy. She generally likes dogs but is attached to her current playmate so needs easy introsand will wrestle all the time if allowed. She is a good energy level outside being fairly active and inside normal. She is crate trained and very smart, learning quickly. She knows basic commands. We think she is part Malinois because of her coloring but we do not DNA test. She would be an excellent family dog and would love to run with you or sleep on the sofa after you are done. Please email tristateshepherdrescue@gmail.com for an application.
