Sebastian **Not Available to Be Seen Until Open House on Wednesday 2/11** Good with Kids & Dogs! Meet Sebastian! 5 mos./25 lb./Male/Aussie Mix Name: Sebastian Age: 5 months Weight: 25 lbs. Breed: Aussie Mix Status: Single, sweet, and searching for his forever Valentine 🩷 About Me: Hi, I’m Sebastian — your future best friend with the softest fluff and the biggest heart. I’m a 5-month-old Aussie mix with bright eyes, perky ears, and a personality that says, “Life is better when we do it together.” I’m playful, curious, and always ready for the next adventure — whether that’s a walk around the neighborhood, learning new tricks, or racing around the yard with pure puppy joy. After the fun? I’m all about snuggling close like I’ve known you forever. I had a broken leg when I was younger, but I’ve healed beautifully and it doesn’t slow me down at all. I run, play, and zoom just like any happy pup — maybe even with a little extra appreciation for every good day. Best Qualities: • Loving, people-focused personality • Smart and eager to learn • Playful but also a champion cuddler • Resilient little guy with a big, gentle heart • Will absolutely look at you like you hung the moon My Ideal Match: • A family or person ready for puppy fun and lifelong loyalty • A home that enjoys walks, playtime, and cozy evenings • Humans who want a best friend to grow up with and make memories beside • Someone ready to open their heart — because mine is wide open Deal Breakers: • Not the right fit for someone wanting a couch potato • I’m still a puppy and need patience, guidance, and love • Would be happiest in a home where I’m not alone for long hours Fun Fact: I fall in love fast — especially if belly rubs are involved. This Valentine’s season, Sebastian isn’t looking for chocolates or roses… he’s hoping his Pawfect Match walks through the door. And trust us, guys this special don’t stay single for long! 💛🐶

Story
Arthur is a sweet, thoughtful 4-year-old boy with a gentle soul and a big heart just waiting for the right person to earn it. He can be shy when first meeting new people, but if you respect his boundaries and give him a little space, Arthur will do the brave thing and come to you on his own terms. And once he feels safe? You’ve got a best friend for life. When Arthur settles in, he is affectionate, playful, and incredibly loving. He enjoys pets, cuddles, and—no surprise—food! He’s a smart and curious boy who takes in the world carefully. Even when he gets excited around his favorite people, he’s gentle and makes an effort to keep all four paws on the ground. Arthur can be nervous around some men and is afraid of sticks, so a patient, understanding home will help him continue building confidence. He does know what he loves, though: rope toys, balls, cozy cuddles, and romping around in the snow. Right now, Arthur is enrolled in a training program with Playtime Pet Resort trainer Harmonie, where he’s working on building confidence, leash manners, and foundational skills he’ll need to thrive in his new life. Arthur would do best with someone who understands that trust is earned—and that the reward for that patience is a truly special dog. If you’re looking for a gentle, loyal companion who will blossom with love and consistency, Arthur may be the one for you. Since we do not have any history on Arthur with kids, we will not place him with children under 16 years old. He will be neutered prior to adoption. He weighed 96 lbs. when rescued and was underweight, so he will be over 100 lbs. when he reaches a good weight. If you are interested in adopting a dog, please fill out our dog adoption application here: http://medfieldshelter.com/adopt. Our adoption fee for dogs ages 7 months to 7 years is $450. Dogs 8 years and up are $250. Every dog we place is vaccinated, wormed, treated for ticks/fleas, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. We send each dog home with a collar and leash. With very few exceptions, dogs are happiest and the most well-behaved when they receive daily exercise and ongoing training, so we always prefer to place our dogs with families who are willing to make a commitment to both. All adoption meetings are by appointment only as we only have two employees. Our manager or one of our volunteers will be happy to set up an appointment for you to come meet the pets, but please fill out the adoption application first.

Story
This handsome boy was picked up running at large and based on Facebook posts it was about his third or fourth offense, but no one claimed him. We are guessing that he was a failure at being a livestock guardian because he’s way too social. He’s always wanting to visit someone new. Charlie is a little over a year old and weighs 110 lbs. He was very thin when he first came to us but is now at his perfect weight. He is neutered, up-to-date on required vaccines, microchipped and heartworm tested negative. He’s house trained and he loves other dogs, but he is a big guy. He also will require a tall fence and you will have to keep an eye on him because again he likes to visit new people. He’s affectionate and likes to lean on you. He is learning commands like sit and stay and he really tries to please! This is what his foster mom says about him " Charlie is amazing. He is housebroken, loves to be hugged, hasn’t chewed anything up, likes to play but is content just to chill. He walks beautifully on a leash and likes to say hi to everyone he meets. Charlie enjoys sitting and looking out the window, hanging around in the kitchen especially when I’m cooking and going for car rides. Although this breed is known for having a stubborn streak, Charlie seems to understand a few commands wait, it’s ok, no, come, let’s go and he will even sit for a treat. But his favorite is Good Boy Charlie❤️" This guy would be a great dog for an active loving family. He’s so sweet! If you would like to be Charlie’s forever family please email dogs4mylife@ gmail.com or olmc7@ hotmail.com. If you are inquiring from a Gmail address. It is best to use our Gmail address or you might have to look for us in your spam.

Story
Charlie and his siblings Dennis, Dee, and Mac have an always sunny disposition. They are spunky, happy friendly and curious. Their favorite past time is hanging out by one of the ponds. They don't quite swim yet but definitely love water. Great with dogs of all sizes and with cats. Love to cuddle. Do not love being a crate though. They will each make perfect family dogs or adventure buddies for a single person or couple. They are some of the best puppies I've ever met. They were surrendered to a small rural shelter as an accidental litter. He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take him in or he will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Note: No dogs are advertised as potty-trained because most dogs need at least some re-training in a new environment and after being in a shelter/rescue environment/strays. www.facebook.com/desideratarescue (copy and paste into a new browser window) Transport locations: - Washington State (Kennewick, Spokane, Tumwater, Tacoma, Tukwila, Lynnwood/Edmonds, Bellingham) - Oregon (Portland and Springfield) - Colorado (Ft Lupton) - Idaho (Heyburn and Boise/Meridian) - Utah (Ogden) - Wyoming (Evanston, Rock Springs, Laramie) - Montana (Missoula) - Illinois (Vandalia, Springfield, Chicago) - Indiana (Spiceland, Burn Harbor) - Michigan (St Joseph, Battle Creek, Ann Arbor) - Wisconsin (Madison, Wausau, Eau Claire, Appleton, Milwaukee) - Minnesota (Minneapolis/St Paul) - Iowa (Des Moines) - Ohio (Columbus and London) - Pennsylvania (Erie, Pittsburgh and Harrisburg) - New York (Buffalo and Albany) - Connecticut (Enfield) - New Jersey (Bedminster) - Nevada (Las Vegas) - Arizona (Flagstaff) Vetting: lifetime free microchip, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, dhpp vaccine x 3, lepto vaccine x 2, dewormed several times, on monthly flea and tick prevention, on monthly heartworm protection, too young/small for neuter and heartworm test. Story
Mac and his siblings found themselves at a small rural shelter with no foot traffic so we got them out. Mac is curious and independent and loving and adventurous. He loves water and he spends most of his day exploring the woods and ponds on the property. He is super smart too. His siblings are all fluffier than he is and look more shepherd like than he does. He has more of a heeler look in terms of coloring and shape but based on their sizes and their growth since I got them, I believe they will be big dogs. Big, happy, friendly, loving dogs. He is about 4 months old. He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well.
