Story
Ellie is a sweet and very energetic dog! She loves to play outside rain or shine. Even loves to play around in the snow . This has been a hard decision because she truly is the best . Very loyal, smart and will definitely keep you on your toes. Its just having Ellie for the last 2 years I noticed that she would thrive in a space bigger than she has now. A space with children older than 10 , no cats or other dogs , and someone who just has the time to keep up with her ! She has so much energy more than she knows what to do with. I truly see her being the best dog for a farm or even a good hiking companion. I really just want the best for her and I need to make sure she has the best home possible.

Story
Meet Glitter Enchanted Maddy—GEMs! GEMs is a gorgeous 5-month-old puppy who arrived in New England just a couple of weeks ago. After spending some time settling into foster care and learning the routines of family life, she is now officially available and ready to begin meeting potential adopters! Although both of her siblings have already found their forever homes, GEMs has not been waiting here for months. Her search in New England is only just beginning, and she is excited to find the family who will help her continue blossoming. GEMs is a striking black-and-white puppy with oversized ears, expressive eyes, and an adorable little freckle on her nose. She can initially be shy around unfamiliar people or in new environments, but she remains curious and will often greet people slowly with a wagging tail. She simply needs a little time and gentle encouragement before showing her full personality. Once she feels comfortable, GEMs is playful, affectionate, and wonderfully silly. She loves following her people around the house, cuddling on the couch, receiving attention, and being included in whatever her family is doing. She is also incredibly bouncy! GEMs hops, skips, and leaps after balls, jumps between couches, and loves pouncing into playtime with her foster sibling. Her favorite activities include chasing toys, chewing bones, playing with other dogs, going for long walks, and exploring places such as the beach. GEMs is extremely food motivated and is currently learning basic commands, including sit, down, and come. She does well with potty training when kept on a consistent schedule and has few to no accidents. She enjoys sleeping in her crate overnight and generally settles comfortably. She is still working on feeling secure when left alone and may initially vocalize before settling. She does especially well when another dog is nearby, so her future family should be prepared to continue building her confidence and independence gradually. GEMs enjoys playing with other dogs. She can occasionally become uncomfortable if another dog approaches her food or a high-value bone, so meals and special chews should be given separately while her family continues positive training. She has not displayed this behavior toward people or around regular toys. GEMs is curious and may try to chase small animals or other exciting things outdoors. Her family will need to use secure leash handling, carefully manage doors and gates, and keep her supervised outside while continuing recall training. This sweet girl would thrive with a patient and active family willing to continue her puppy training, confidence building, socialization, and daily exercise. Obedience classes would be a wonderful way to help her become the confident and well-mannered dog she is capable of being. She may enjoy living with a playful, compatible dog who can provide companionship, but she could also be successful as an only dog with a family committed to giving her plenty of attention and activity. GEMs has only recently arrived in New England and is now ready for meet-and-greets. If you are looking for an affectionate, playful, athletic, and delightfully goofy companion, GEMs may be your perfect match.

Story
This handsome boy was picked up running at large and based on Facebook posts it was about his third or fourth offense, but no one claimed him. We are guessing that he was a failure at being a livestock guardian because he’s way too social. He’s always wanting to visit someone new. Charlie is a little over a year old and weighs 121 lbs. He was very thin when he first came to us but is now at his perfect weight. He is neutered, up to date on required vaccines, microchipped and heartworm tested negative. He’s house trained and he loves other dogs, but he is a big guy. He also will require a tall fence, and you will have to keep an eye on him because again he likes to visit new people. He also has an obsession with deer! For that reason, a privacy fence would be ideal if you have deer around your home. He’s affectionate and likes to lean on you. He is learning commands like sit and stay and he really tries to please! This is what his foster mom says about him " Charlie is amazing. He is housebroken, loves to be hugged, hasn’t chewed anything up, likes to play but is content just to chill. He walks beautifully on a leash and likes to say hi to everyone he meets. Charlie enjoys sitting and looking out the window, hanging around in the kitchen especially when I’m cooking and going for car rides". Although this breed is known for having a stubborn streak, Charlie seems to understand a few commands wait, it’s ok, no, come, let’s go and he will even sit for a treat. But his favorite is Good Boy Charlie❤️" This guy would be a great dog for an active loving family. He’s so sweet! Story
Chiffon is incredibly loving and remarkably smart. She has so much potential just waiting to be discovered. At almost one year old, she is at such a wonderful point in her life: young enough to learn, adapt, and grow, but old enough that her personality is beginning to shine through. She is just about finished growing and is on the larger side of medium. The right family could really help Chiffon blossom. She doesn't need someone looking for a perfectly finished dog. She needs someone who will see what she can become and enjoy being part of that journey. With consistency, guidance, patience, and love, there is so much you could teach this girl—and so much she could give back. We can picture Chiffon learning the rhythm of family life, going for walks with her people, discovering new places, soaking up attention, and eventually wondering how she ever lived without a family of her own. Her intelligence and genetics give her an incredible foundation, but the love and guidance of the right person could help turn that potential into something truly wonderful. Chiffon has already been given a good start. Now she needs someone willing to take the next step with her. Someone who will invest in her. Someone who will give her that one-on-one connection she hasn't yet experienced. Someone who will enjoy watching her learn, grow, and become the amazing companion we believe she is meant to be. And in return, you may get something pretty extraordinary—a smart, loving, loyal dog who has all the makings of an incredible family member. Chiffon's future is just beginning, and the right family could make all the difference in the world. ❤️    Contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comAugust 30, 2026, 7:34 pm
