Story
Kiyah, the beaty of them all! Anatolian Sheperd owners must be firm leaders as this breed can be very independent willful. Kiyah is a big girl who has been working with a trainer on her leash manners and would love a home with someone who will continue her training. Kiyah woud do best in a home without any other pets. She is a very sweet, friendly, and affectionate dog who will do anything for a good belly rub! She loves people and has done amazing at our adoption events with everyone she's met! She will make one lucky family extremely happy and have endless days of love and cuddles (she thinks she's a lap dog!) if you are interested in Kiyah we ask that you research Anatolian Shepherd breed and make sure she can be the right fit for your lifestyle. Come meet Kiyah, you'll fall in love with this big sweetheart as fast as we did!

Story
Hey folks, I'm Polar, the gentle giant you have been searching for! At a sprightly 15 months old and a lovable 75 pounds, I'm an Anatolian Shepherd ready to bring warmth and love to your home. I get along great with other dogs. I’ve even been told I gain a lot of confidence when I have a canine buddy by my side so if you already have a furry friend at home that would be paw-fect! I’m looking for a patient and loving family who can teach me about all the wonderful things this world has to offer. Life's too short not to have a loving friend by your side, and I'm here, paws and all, ready to fill your days with calm and canine charm. So, if you're on the lookout for a forever friend, let's make it official. Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. ANCAR is a foster-based rescue, and we adopt within a 90 mile radius of Bedford Hills, NY. You will find the adoption application here: (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/). All fields on the application must be completed. Please read about the adoption process (https://www.anewchancear.org/adopt/our-adoption-process/) so you'll know what to expect when you submit. Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources. If you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (https://www.anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through the kindness of supporters like you that we are 'changing lives...one tail at a time' by providing our dogs with 'A New Chance.' (https://anewchancear.org) Thanks so much.

Story
Meet Josie, a three-year-old, 50 lb. Anatolian Shepherd mix. She was found roaming the streets in Texas before being taken in by a good samaritan. She’s currently in Texas awaiting an adopter or foster so she can travel up north to find her furever family! Josie is a spunky, energetic, and active girl who loves her playtime, runs, and walks. She especially loves the water and splashing around in her pool. Josie adores affection and loves to be pet and get belly rubs. Her favorite toys are ones that squeak and she's always up for a game of fetch. She has done great with the dogs that she has met but has never been cat tested. Josie does well in an outdoor kennel but will need basic training for indoor crating, as well as housetraining and basic obedience/manners. A fenced yard is a must. She'll make a wonderful addition to any home! Her adoption fee is $400 and Josie is vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and spayed. If you are interested in this pretty lady, please complete the application at form.jotform.com/200883908893166. For questions, email info@happilyfureverafter.org.

Story
Bolto is a great dog. He is very smart and has a great sense of his whereabouts. With a great family he will become acclaimate quickly. He is excellent around children and other animals, and really enjoys playing outside. For an old dog he has a great will about him as if inside he was still a young pup. He has a really good appetite, and does well with his cues to use the bathroom. All in all Bolto is a fantastic dog and with the right family he will be a great addition. Meet Balto, the 8-10 year old shepherd mix with a heart full of love. Balto has a gentle and affectionate nature, making him a perfect companion for families with kids, other dogs, and even cats. He is not only house trained, but he also has a puppy, like energy and a love for outdoor activities, like going for walks and playing in the backyard. However, don’t be fooled by his active side, as Balto is also a sleepyhead who enjoys his downtime.Despite his playful nature, Balto has been dealing with bad back hips. It’s been a tough journey, but with regular injections, medication and exercise his hips are improving every day. He may occasionally mount other dogs, but he’s a work in progress, showing that he is open to learning and growing. Balto’s resilience, and determination to overcome his health issues is truly inspiring. If you’re looking for a loving and good natured dog, who is both energetic and laid-back, then look no further than Balto. He is ready to bring joy and moths to your home, and with a little patience and understanding, he will make a wonderful addition to any family. Balto’s story is a testament to the healing, power of love and care, and he is undoubtedly deserving of a loving forever home

Story
Moira Rose has had her last litter and is now taking time out for herself. She is getting the hang of indoor living and what it means to curl up on a doggie bed. Getting the attention she has been lacking for a long time. Walks good on leash, rides great in the car. Moira Rose is a great bird watcher and will run and bark to let them know she won’t tolerate their present. She’s a bit on the aloof side, comes to you when she feels the need. She will growl to get your attention as to say I’m here human, give me your hand. She gets excited when she thinks she can read your movement and barks with excitement to know she was right about it. Best with another dog to help her to have that security being with one of her kind. She plays well with others and will find her cuddled up with her favorite pal. Patiently waiting for her forever home. www.cprdogs.com . Moira Rose is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. This dog has tested neg for heartworms. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back.
