Story
Skye is a female Belgium Malinois.Skye is a super chill girl who is eager for adventure and to find her new family! Skye is always smiling and absolutely loves the people she's decided are her friends. Once you're on Team Skye, you are in! She is all about big adventures, going on walks, and exploring the wide-open world. She does amazingly well on a leash, making her a good hiking buddy. Once she gets to know you, it is constant cuddles. Skye needs you to be her pack leader and to let her know everything is good, to be ready for her to look to you for direction and respond to your moods. Skye would do best in a home with no other dogs, no kids, and possibly a cat - she would prefer to be your one and only!To apply for this pet on Adopets, click the Adopt Me button below their profile picture. Story
Rip a 4 yr old, Malinois/Belgian Shepherd mix. He is a big boy at 90lbs. Rip is very intelligent and eager to please. He is very food motivated. He knows many basic commands, including sit, touch, down, paw and is working on roll over. He is also crate trained. Rip enjoys going on long walks with staff and volunteers. Rip's walking ability has received glowing reviews, as our walkers have told us he is one of the most enjoyable dogs to walk. Rip enjoys human interaction, and will ask for attention and affection at any given opportunity. Like any good dog he loves a butt scratch, a belly rub and a head pat. As for other dogs, Rip is selective. He enjoys the company of a dominant female, who can doll out and receive some rough and rowdy play. As much as he loves kids of all ages, due to his size and general doofiness a home with children is not recommended. Rip is also not suitable for a home with cats. For more information on Rip Wheeler, call AWS at 860-354-1350 email animalwelfare.socty@snet.net or visit our website aws-shelter.org for a pre adopt application. Adoption fees for Dogs (8yrs and up) is $150 Adult Dogs is $400 and Puppies under a year is $500

Story
A second chance Cinderella story Sometimes the new beginnings in life for the puppies in this world are not the warm and fuzzy starts we wish for them. Gunnerman's story began in the hands of a homeless person who had temporary housing but unfortunately did not have the resources to provide this young puppy with the veterinary care and stability he needed. Gunnerman had a wound on his face that required medical attention, and thankfully, he received the care he desperately needed only to soon afterward have his owner get evicted.  The call came to us that Gunnerman was now outside with his owner and nowhere to go with no safe place to call home. That is when Critter Cavalry Rescue stepped in again, along with a kind foster dad who opened his heart and home to this handsome brindle boy. Together, we are determined to give Gunnerman the second chance he deserves and find him a strong, dog-savvy family who understands his needs and will surround him with love, guidance, and the steadfast certainty that his future will be a good one.We believe Gunnerman is a Malinois Shepherd mix, a type of Shepherd that many people may not be familiar with. Malinois are known for their intelligence, loyalty, athleticism, and incredible devotion to their people. They are quick learners and form very strong bonds with the humans they love. Gunner is already showing us those wonderful qualities at just about four months old. This boy is a lover of people and other creatures. We have not had the opportunity to introduce him to cats yet, but because he is still so young and has such a friendly, open personality, we believe that with the proper introduction, he could potentially become a cat's best friend and protector. Of course, any cat introduction would need to be done carefully and responsibly.Gunnerman has plenty to learn about life, but one thing he already does beautifully is bond with his person. He greets new experiences with curiosity, interest, and a happy smile. This boy is definitely not a shrinking violet! Gunnerman is ready to march off into the day with excitement and anticipation for whatever fun and adventure comes next.We anticipate that Gunnerman will grow into a handsome 50-pound adult, and we believe he is going to be one of the most loyal companions a family could ask for. He is working on his housebreaking and doing well with it, and like any young Shepherd mix, he will need continued training, structure, exercise, mental stimulation, and someone who will patiently help him become the wonderful adult dog he is destined to be.We do require that Gunnerman's forever family have a fenced and secure backyard where he can safely run, roam, explore, and smell all the wonderful things the great outdoors has to offer. Curiosity is definitely part of this boy's Shepherd heritage, and Gunner loves using his nose to investigate the world around him.We think Gunnerman is going to have a true Cinderella story. He started life without the security and stability every puppy deserves, but his story is changing now. We are so excited to watch this beautiful boy grow, learn, bond, and blossom into the loyal and devoted companion we know he can become.Gunnerman's future is waiting for him, and he will be forever grateful to the person or family who gives him the life he has always deserved. And so will all of us at Critter Cavalry Rescue. If you believe you may be the right forever home for this special boy, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com. Story
Meet Solei! Solei is one of our sunshine pups and she’s ready to find a home that can keep up with her! Solei is believed to be a Pit Bull/Malinois mix. She came from a local accidental litter that Project Precious Rescue and another rescue stepped in to help vet and rehome. Like many pups with bully and shepherd roots, Solei is an active girl who loves to run, jump, and play. She will be looking for a home with athletic pitbull/shepherd or working dog experience. These are not ideal first-time puppies unless you have solid plans for training, socialization, structured exercise, and lots of focused bonding time (maybe even a fun job!). Solei has a slightly softer personality than her sister. She can be a bit more reserved in new situations and may watch from the sidelines before jumping in. Once she’s comfortable, she’s incredibly sweet and loves snuggles when she’s ready to wind down. She’s a sensitive girl who responds beautifully to praise and encouragement. She has done well with dogs of all shapes and sizes, especially playful pups who enjoy puppy antics. An active dog friend would likely be a great match for her. She may also do fine with a savvy cat, though she hasn’t met one yet. If you think Solei’s energy and personality would fit your lifestyle, please visit www.pprct.org and fill out an adoption application!

Story
Meet Suvi! Suvi is one of our sunshine pups and she’s bringing the energy! Suvi is believed to be a Pit Bull/Malinois mix. She came from a local accidental litter that Project Precious Rescue and another rescue stepped in to help vet and rehome. Suvi is bold, confident, and always on the move. She loves to run, jump, and play, and will need a home with athletic pitbull/shepherd or working dog experience. This girl isn't the best fit for first-time dog owners unless you’re ready for serious commitment to training, socialization, structure, and plenty of exercise. While she isn’t extremely drive-heavy, Suvi has very high energy and can be mouthy and jumpy like many working-type puppies. She needs someone who will channel that energy with training, engagement, and structure, not just a yard. Suvi is fearless and loves rough-and-tumble play with the big dogs. She takes corrections from them well and might even have a future in parkour! Because of her enthusiastic play style (and slight wrecking ball tendencies), she would do best with active, playful dog friends rather than low-key or senior pups. She may also do fine with a savvy cat, though she hasn’t met one yet. If you think Suvi’s energy and personality would fit your lifestyle, please visit www.pprct.org and fill out an adoption application!
