Story
Hello Dog Lovers!  My name is Travis and I would like to introduce myself to you as a candidate for adoption if you are looking for a handsome big dog puppy!  I was born probably about the first of February and at 12 week old, I weigh a whopping 21 pounds.  My puppy experts think I am an Anatolian mix and I seem to be destined to be a BIG BOY when I grow up…. Probably 80+ pounds.  I am an energetic and very playful puppy that is going to need a fenced yard and some time spent polishing me  in training.  You know that all puppies need guidance and training to become the best they can become.  My foster mom was my Angel the day she saw me on a busy roadway in rural Tennessee. I was scooped up with my two sisters and brought to her farm where I have gotten to know all her chickens, horses, cats and her two dogs. I just want to play with everyone and I especially love to chase  tennis balls. I'm learning to walk on a leash/in a harness when she goes walking on her property to make sure everything and all her animals are alright. That has really been so much fun. I'm looking forward to finding my forever home soon with someone who appreciates BIG DOGS like I am going to be.  I promise to love, honor and make you happy every day…and will always snuggle anytime you want. Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you are interested in adopting me.           PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 30, 2023, 9:22 am

Story
My name is Tristen and I am a very healthy and fun 17 pound Anatolian mix puppy that was born around the first of February.  I'm the smallest of 2 other siblings but yet I am still going to be a 65+ pound beautiful girl when I am fully grown.  I came to be with Critter Cavalry Rescue when I was about 10 weeks old and my mom found me on the side of the road with my brother and sister about to be run over on a very busy highway. So she took us home to our great surprise and delight, and she has been our ANGEL MOMMA.  Since our foster mom lives on a small farm with lots of animals, we have learned how to be nice to everyone and to love and embrace even the chickens.  If you have chickens then we are YOUR REAL DEAL.  My foster mom loves to take us on evening walks around the property and we love it!   We are learning harness time and I especially love going for walks on my harness and chasing tennis balls. I'm extremely friendly and loving and I will make a wonderful companion. I can't wait to have a forever home to share all my kisses and snuggles.  If you are open to considering this adorable BIG GIRL… please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.May 30, 2023, 9:22 am

Anatolian Shepherd mix Fancy is STILL waiting for someone to pick her... She is super sweet with everyone she has met - rolling over for belly rubs and overall just enjoying all the attention she gets! Fancy is around 1 year old, and around 60lbs. She is going to make a great addition to a family looking for a playful, loving dog that wants nothing more than to be with her people. Fancy is good with other dogs (seems to prefer playing with males over females), but has not yet met any cats. Her ideal home would be with an active and dog-savvy family. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN ADOPTING ONE OF OUR AMAZING RESCUE DOGS - WE CAN’T WAIT TO HELP YOU FIND YOUR NEW BEST FRIEND!The first step in getting started with our adoption process is to fill out an adoption application on our website at www.adopt-a-dog.org. We welcome you to come visit our shelter! Meet & greets will be set up by appointment once your application has been received & processed. If a dog is still listed on Petfinder, we are still accepting applications for them!*Name: Fancy*Age: 1 year*Current Weight: 61lbs*Rescued from: Tennessee *Adoption fee: Puppies up to 1 year: $550 Young Adult (1-4 years): $475 Adult (4-7 years): $400 Senior (8+ years): $300 *Health: Up to date on age-appropriate core vaccines so far (adopter will be responsible for remaining vaccinations if applicable), spayed/neutered , microchipped, dewormed *If the dog you are adopting is not yet spayed/neutered at the time of adoption, we require a $150 deposit in addition to the adoption fee (to be refunded upon proof of surgery within 6 months of adoption) ** Please note that we are taking our best guess on age, breed, and size when fully grown, based on the dog’s physical appearance and what we might have learned about one or both parents depending on the situation. We rarely know a dog's exact age, nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is often limited. We encourage you to consider individual personality rather than relying on a label – meeting a dog in person is the best way to make sure it’s love!FAQs:WHAT IS THE ADOPTION PROCESS?: The first step in adopting an AAD dog is to fill out an application via our website www.adoptadog.org. Once we receive your application, one of our application processors will contact you, and answer any questions you may have. We will also ask for additional information if needed (landlord or veterinarian contact information, or other based on your application). Once an application has been approved, we will schedule a mutually convenient time for a meet & greet! We do not operate on a first-come-first-serve basis for adoptions, but on best fit for a family and most importantly the dog.HOW OLD DO I NEED TO BE TO ADOPT?: You must be age 25 or older to apply to adopt. If you live in a home with other people (ie parents, relatives) the person who will be financially responsible for the care of the dog should be the one to fill out the application.HOW CAN I MEET THE ADOPTABLE DOGS?: Meet and greets will be scheduled once your adoption application has been fully processed by one of our adoption processors. Please be sure to fill out the application as thoroughly as possible, as we want to make sure we find you the perfect match!*If you have any additional questions that have not been answered, please e-mail info@adoptadog.org! ##1468835##

*Name: Lee aka Harley *Age: approx 4 years old *Current Weight: 103lbs *Rescued from: Texas *Adoption fee: $400 *Health: Up to date on vaccines, neutered, & microchipped *Adoption requirements: Adopter must be 25 or older, Fully fenced and secured yard, No kids, experienced owner. Have you always wanted a pony, but don't know how to care for one and don't have a barn?? Do you also love dogs? Well meet Lee, he is just like a pony but in dog form! This gentle giant absolutely loves people and other dogs!! Small humans aren't his jam so he would prefer to live in a home without them, but he doesn't mind them when he is out and about. This young man had a tough start in life and spent his first few years living outside.  When he was rescued, he had such bad mange that nearly all of his fur was gone and skin was exposed and damaged. He is all better now though!! Although Harley had never lived indoors, he has taken to this new luxury like a duck to water. He is a huge fan of leash walks as well as long hikes, but can also chill. He is a great conversationalist but also enjoys sitting with you while you give him chin scratches. He is a super mush who loves to snuggle his head into your lap and soak up all your love.   Lee is crate and housetrained and knows commands like sit, stay, paw, outside. He is currently located at our adoption cneter in Brewster, NY and is looking for a foster or adopter. Could you be the perfect home for him?? To apply to adopt, fill out an application at https://snarrnortheast.org/adopt/ FAQs -- PLEASE READ ALL BEFORE EMAILING All adoption fees are non-refundable If paying by credit card, Venmo, or PayPal there is a set processing fee, generally this fee is under $15 per pet. These processing fees are determined by the form of payment adopters decide to use. By helping with this minimal cost this allows us to save more animals. Please note that SNARR NE is a volunteer-based organization. While our volunteers will try to respond to you as quickly as possible, it is helpful if you review the below information about our adoption process before emailing: LISTED BREED(S) & AGE: We are taking our best guess on age, breed, and size when fully grown, based on the puppy's/dog's physical appearance and what we might have learned about one or both parents depending on the situation. *NOTE* We rarely know a dog's exact age, nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. Because we often do not have access to medical records at the time that we are listing for dogs for adoption, there are sometimes discrepancies between what is posted on their profile and what might be listed on a dog's medical records. SNARR'S ADOPTION PROCESS: The first step in adopting or meeting a SNARR dog/puppy is to fill out an application at https://snarrnortheast.org/adopt/. Once we receive your application, one of our adoption application processors will contact you, review our adoption process with you, and answer any additional questions you may have. **We do not go on a first-come-first-serve basis for adoptions, but on best fit for a family and most importantly the puppy or dog. ** MEETING ADOPTABLE DOGS: Meet and greets will not be scheduled until after your adoption application has been fully processed and approved by one of our adoption processors. APPLYING ONLINE: If you fill out an online application, please do so from a computer (not a mobile device), make sure you answer ALL the questions in as much detail as possible, and that you receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive a confirmation email, that means we did NOT receive your application. ##1565057##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. LADY  was transferred to GaDaH from a high kill shelter in Texas on 22nd April 2023. We take a lot of pictures and videos and don't always have the time to post them on the dogs individual webpage and adoption site, so we ask that you go to the rescue  YouTube channel  and  photo albums on our Facebook page  to see a LOT of pictures and videos.      LADY is spayed, rabies, core vaccines, heartworm/tick tested negative. She is on monthly prevention, microchipped, has an estimated date of birth of  6 April 2021 and at the  time of transport weighed 55 pounds. We have no way of knowing what the actual breed is, so it is up to people to look at the pictures and video's to make up their own mind. LADY is available for adoption from Give a Dog a Home Rescue in Sebec, Maine for an adoption fee of $550.       This adoption fee covers the cost of running a brick and mortar rescue as well as any transport, veterinary, food,   treats, toys costs and the many expenses that rescues endure to keep the pets in their care safe, and happy.     Be sure to read all the information and if interested, go to the rescue website to submit an adoption application. https://www.giveadogahome-rescue.org/forms/form?formid=5838 The rescue buys food in bulk, by the truck load and there are a variety of brands and flavors. None of the food given is less than a 4* food rating. There have not been issues with eating any of the varying foods. It is important that you do your research on the ingredients and speak to your vet or a nutritionist on grain vs grain free! &#226&#128&#139You MUST understand that dogs need time to decompress and adapt to their new environment and home. It is a HUGE transition they make from the kill shelter, being vetted, on transport for 3 days and arriving in Maine where the temperature and such is very different to what they have only known. In rescue there is what is known as the "3 Point Rule" Days 1-3 your dog is stressed, anxious, confused as to where they are now. Weeks 1-3 your dog is adjusting, settling in, learning things. At the 3-month point, your dog understands they are home, and have built up a trusting relationship where they feel loved and secure. If you feel that you have the heart and home to give this precious soul a wonderful life, please go to our website, under the ADOPTION INFO tab, complete, then submit the APPLICATION. Our process takes around 1-2 days, and ensuring your references are aware that we will be calling, could speed up the process. Once you have been approved, we discuss any questions in regards to the dog you are wanting to adopt, then we can schedule your appointment to come to the rescue in Sebec, Maine for meet/greet/adopt Please do NOT submit an application if you are not looking to take home a new best friend within the next few weeks. https://www.giveadogahome-rescue.org/forms/form?formid=5838 ALL Dogs are LOCATED AT THE RESCUE IN SEBEC, MAINE. We post in various states along the east coast and Canada where we have had lots of successful adoptions to enable more exposure for these beautiful saved souls. Families will need to be prepared to travel to the rescue to meet and take home their new best friend. Sebec is located just outside the towns of Dover-Foxcroft and Milo (approx. 8 miles) and approx. 45 miles from Bangor. There are also lots of hotels, motels, pet friendly accommodations and wonderful camp-sites for the more adventurous families and what a great way to get to know your new best friend.
