Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Odin is a handsome, 3- to 4-year old neutered male, Anatolian Shepherd mix that is looking for his forever home.  A Good Samaritan helped befriend him after his owner moved out of her rental house and left him behind. Odin knows the life of a stray all too well and clearly was the victim of abuse in his past.  However, after he warms up to you, he is a loving, affectionate, loyal boy that is both playful and loves to cuddle. He walks well on a leash, is crate-trained, and rides quietly in the car. He has an eye (and nose!) for all those outdoor critters, so his adventurous side will require a 6-ft fenced in yard to keep him contained. Due do his abusive past, sudden noises or movements can sometimes catch him off guard but he would do well in a home with adults and older children. Odin is good with cats and possibly other dogs if they are respectful of his space.  Odin would do best with a family that includes him in their daily lives and shows him patience and understanding while he adjusts to his new surroundings and routines. He truly is a special boy that will win your heart over if given the chance.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 30, 2024, 2:36 pm

Story
Meet Izzy Belle!  Izzy Belle is one goofy gal searching for her forever home. Izzy  is an absolutely beautiful Anatolian Shepherd mix that weighs approximately 75lbs, and her estimated date of birth is 04/28/2018. Now if couldn't tell by the adorable snaggletooth, Izzy is quite the silly girl here at the shelter. She is the complete definition of a gentle giant when it comes to meeting potential adopters! Miss Belle does an amazing job when it comes to walking on a leash and she loves her treats! Outside is definitely her favorite place to be. Her thick Anatolian coat makes her super resillient to the elements, so this girl would spend as much time in the sun and snow as she could take! Izzy Belle is excellent with other dogs and children, we do however recommend a household without cats. As always we do require a meet and greet if you have any other pups at home. Izzy Belle is fully vetted, microchiped, and spayed. Her adoption fee is $175. Interested in this giant sweetie? Call 615-446-7387 to set up an appointment. ##1711485##

Story
Tall Titan, is a strong and remarkable  Warrior, a dog that has fought to be alive and walking  today on this earth.  He has willed himself to come from the depths of pain and starvation to become this handsome boy that you see right now.  He is our Super Hero Pup and our example of a creature that has never given up even when it would have been easier to just go to sleep and never wake up.  When Titan came to a rescue lady’s house that Critter Cavalry knows, this boy was malnourished and just a skeleton of the puppy he should be as a Great Dane.  The lady has a love for the Danes and she asked CCR to please take him into our rescue before she fell in love and couldn’t let him go.  She had enough dogs and just felt the temptation to keep him was too great.  We agreed and soon Titan was ours to raise and get prepped for a new home and family.  Shortly afterwards his foster family noticed he was struggling to walk and his joints were inflamed. Titan was taken to several vets before receiving the diagnosis of  Hypertrophic osteodystrophy (HOD). He has been put on a regimen of medications, high calorie food and hydrotherapy and is now running, jumping and playing with other dogs. His favorite things to do are play with toys, run and nap in the sun. Titan is a large dog and will do best in a home with another large dog or two that he will be able to play with. He will continue to need medication intermittently for some time and to be followed by a veterinarian.  If you have large breed dog experience and are willing to take on this fellas special needs please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue. He is not house trained to hold longer than 4 hours.  He needs to eat separately at mealtimes and he needs to learn better how to play with his toys in a group setting if there are other dogs.  If he is the only dog then there is no special monitoring.   Titan rides like a champ in the car or truck and he is definitely crate trained with good dog/name recall.  He would be easier to watch in the yard if you had a real physical fence installed since he likes to wander off out of curiosity.   Please email Critter Cavalry at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested.  He is great with young children/boys that are rough and tumble and lots of noise. Story
Big Lil Harley is a beautiful black Great Dane who is not so big by standards of Great Dane sizes.  She is a 3 year old couch potato who is only 70 pounds and just a sweet lover girl.  Her family has had a bad health turn of events and Critter Cavalry Rescue is trying to help the senior couple find homes for their five wonderful dogs.   Big Lil Harley is great fun and loves to be outside running around in the fenced yard and enjoying the great outdoors.   She is shy when you first meet her which seems to be a frequent trait that we see in the Great Dane breed.  She warms soon but she will be reserved when first meeting new people.  She is housebroken, has not been around cats but loves people and good with other dogs.   This girl is just wanting a nice long couch to sleep on and a fenced yard to hang outside for hours.  If you have Great Dane experience, even better news!!!   Please email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com  She is spayed and completely healthy and UTD on vaccines.  Let’s help this girl find the best “next” loving home!!! Story
Laylah is a beautiful pure bred Great Dane that is 129 pounds and 4yrs young.  This girl lost her home because the other female Great Dane was jealous of her and jumping on her to create a fight.  The family could not afford for them to seriously hurt each other. It was best to have Laylah leave the home for her own safety. She is totally vetted and  spayed and is up to date on vaccines.  She came in scared and unsure of everything because of the turmoil she has been experiencing at her home.  After some work and socializing, she has come out of her shell and she loves to be by her person's side and will make a great companion for someone.  She would most likely need to be an only dog since she is still suffering from the fear of being attacked again by another dog.  She does not show fear to all dogs…but some of the larger ones she is defensive at the moment. She hasn't been off leash around cats but seems to not mind them walking by, even appeared playful through the glass with a cat in the cat colony. She has done well meeting new people but gets nervous if her secure shelter person leaves the room.  She shows this by waiting nose to the door until her person comes back. She walks great on a leash and hops right in the car and rides well. She loves to lay on her stuffies and play with her toys, just playing never destroys them. She will carry around the toy in her mouth just to show everyone what she has. In the mornings she gets the pony girl zoomies where she just yeehawws around the yard until she wears out then she is pretty reserved the rest of the day hanging out behind the shelter desk. When too many dogs are going in out it stresses her so she gets put up in an office until things settle down.  She doesn't seem to mind kids and she will greet them gently. Another plus is that she is also housebroken.  ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Contact ccrtennessee@gmail.com.April 30, 2024, 2:11 pm
