Story
Weve had Ditto, pronounced Deetoe, since he was 6 weeks old. He was bred with Anatolian & Kangal. He has been our baby since day 1. Then we brought in our Saint Bernard. All was well for years until the Saint Bernard became of size. Ditto has always been protective, very very protective. We live in the suburbs but always had a large yard and house to move around. This past year there have been some vicious fights between him and our other dog. When it comes to his room (he had his hole room and not a kennel which we think may have contributed to him being so territorial) he would gaurd it against my husband and I. So much so that the other dog feels the need to protect. Given the Saint Bernard is 160 lbs , its safe to assume Ditto didnt take being taken over to lightly. This past time he launched at my husband while we were trying to prevent a fight. He needs a home with no other pets, or children. A single individual who needs a companion, who can handle his temperament.

He is a very handsome neutered male Anatolian Shepherd x Great Pyrenees mix, estimated DOB August 2023. We don't know where Theo came from but, considering the shape he was in when he came to us, we're pretty sure he's had a rough time in his young life. But that is all behind this big happy guy!! Theo has has made a lot of progress since he has been in foster care. ---------- He's learned that its a lot of fun to be in the house and get belly rubs every day. He's acclimated to the multi-dog pack in his foster home where he gets along well with most everyone. He enjoys running around the yard, rough housing with the “bigger bossy girls” ---------- Theo will do best if matched with a female dog who is close to his size and age. He would likely be okay as an only dog, too. ---------- He has good manners indoors (never once counter surfed!) and is housebroken. He knows most basic commands and is learning to trust walking on a leash. ---------- Theo did test positive for heartworms, but he is asymptomatic and you would never know it by looking at him! Theo is being treated with the doxy/moxy treatment plan. He has no restrictions on activity and he should test negative within 12 months. ---------- Some of Theo’s favorite things are: treats, especially duck sausage or jerky! He loves a good belly rub and head scratches! His favorite time of day is DINNER time! He gives off the cutest little “awhooo” when he see’s you coming with his food bowl! ---------- He loves treats so much, that as you’re reaching out to give it to him, he goes cross-eyed watching the treat! He’s super gentle and has very good “treat taking manners”. He’s not the kind of dog that jumps up on his people, he just says hello with a big tail wag and if your lucky a low, sweet “awhoooo” ---------------------------------------- Veterinary reference is required on all adoptions. Ferry was adopted at 2 years old from an Animal Resource Center and is now 9 years old! Do not let her age fool you, she is very high energy! She loves to run and jump around as fast as she can. She would do well somewhere with a yard to play. Ferry has always done will with children of all ages, but would do better with older kids due to her energy. She is also a big cuddle bug! Ferry loves to snuggle up on the couch with you to get all the pets. She loves to go on rides in the car and explore anywhere you will take her. She is very smart and quickly picks up on routines and tricks. Ferry is also very alert to her surroundings and will bark when your house is approached by strangers, but once introduced to them, is sweet as can be.
