Story
Roscoe has had a rough start in life, but he’s proving every day that kindness and patience can help him trust again. Initially fearful, he has blossomed into a loving and loyal companion. He’s incredibly food-motivated, making training a breeze, and he already knows “sit,” “down,” and even how to shake paws! This medium-energy pup enjoys both playtime and relaxation. He adores every dog he meets and adjusts his play style based on their size. Roscoe is fully vaccinated, neutered, and on heartworm prevention—he’s just waiting for a family to call his own. If you’re looking for a sweet, smart, and affectionate companion, give Roscoe a chance! Interested in adopting? Story
Hi everyone, meet Rosa! She is the sweetest, most loyal dog you will meet, loves to play and frolic, but also loves taking a long nice nap when you’re at work or when working from home. She is potty trained, walks well on a leash, loves to please (easy to train), smart, doesn’t chew on anything but her toys, is crate trained, and great with young kids. Would likely also be good with cats, although has not been tested. She LOVES dogs and would do best in a home with another young-ish dog to play with. She’s a shepherd, so she is protective, however, never aggressive. She is shy, and will take a couple days to warm up, but once she does, she will be your best friend forever! Some other pluses: 🌹 Her favorite thing in the world are belly rubs so your hands will never be idle! 🌹 She loves her crate. 🌹 One of her favorite activities is chasing those pesky lizards, which is great fun to watch! 🌹 She’s gorgeous! Rosa is a female Anatolian Shepherd with an estimated birthday of 10/1/2022. She weighs 46 lbs

Story
Looking for that special couch potato doggo who just wants to Netflix and chill with you? A low-maintenance snuggle bug ready to welcome you home to unwind after a long day? Star is your gal! She's an intelligent, amber-eyed beauty who is also a giant loaf. She was found abandoned at a gas station in central Texas - but no fear, she found the good indoor life! She'll warm your heart with her big smile, friendly and laid-back nature, and white star-shaped blaze along her forehead! She is a fast learner and has mastered major commands - sit, go to crate, go potty, go to the car, gentle treats, four paws and gentle walking. According to her foster, she's the "easiest foster dog I've ever had!". She loves adults, treats & chews, booty scritches, playing fetch or tug-o-war, laying on the couch (only with permission), sunbathing, the outdoors and allll car rides. Star is house and crate trained (including potty on command) and sleeps quietly all night. Star is a little THICC at 80lbs but is on a managed diet, targeting closer to 65-70#. Maybe you can both hit that 10,000 step goal together! She is heartworm negative, spayed and UTD on vaccines. She hasn’t had much interaction with cats but isn’t that interested in them on walks or at events. Star will thrive as the only pet in your home and is best with older kids (15yo+), although she loves those gentler supervised pets and snuggles from littles. Apply to meet Star today! https://www.animaljusticeleague.org/pets/dogs/recRgsXrFlKBdQIjg/adopt If you would like to foster, please view the information: https://www.animaljusticeleague.org/foster-info

Story
Meet Chloe, a young, vibrant spirit who is always ready for the next adventure. Her sweet, friendly nature is infectious and she is always ready to make new friends. She loves children and around them is easygoing, friendly, playful, gentle, and cautious. She weighs 62 pounds and her energetic and jumpy personality is perfect for those who love to stay active and explore the world around them. Chloe is also an affectionate cuddle bug who enjoys quiet moments and being close to those she loves as she is being petted. Her curiosity keeps her alert and attentive, always ready to learn new things. Her favorite activities are car rides, fetch, running, tugging, toys, walks, water, chase, and wrestling. Chloe is leash trained, making walks a breeze. A recent adopter says she is house trained but at the shelter it seems that she needs a little more guidance. She was returned due to her owner`s allergies. She knows the sit, stay, come, no, down, off, and shake commands. She is a great guard dogs who protects her home and family. She is obedient, excitable, loving, calm, and lovable. Her behavior around other canines is leading us to require that she be the only dog in the home. Adopting happy Chloe means bringing joy, love, and a zest for life into your home. Her companionship promises to be rewarding and her love unconditional. Chloe is waiting to share her life with you, and make every day an adventure. (tw 3/24/2025)Click `Play` to meet Chloe. This animal has been available at the shelter for more than 30 days and is now considered a VIP.The adoption fee is 50% off! -jc (3/4/25)
