Story
Meet Koda – A Gentle Giant with a Playful Side Koda is a handsome 2.5-year-old Anatolian Shepherd mix weighing about 50 pounds, and he is the perfect combination of calm companion and playful best friend. With his gentle nature and easygoing personality, Koda brings a peaceful presence wherever he goes. One of Koda’s favorite activities is spending time with his people. He loves to snuggle, relax nearby, and simply be part of the family. He is fully potty trained, settles nicely into home life, and has wonderful house manners. Koda also walks beautifully on a leash, naturally matching your pace and making daily walks enjoyable and stress-free. While Koda enjoys quiet time, he also has a fun-loving side. He absolutely loves to play and would be thrilled to have another friendly dog in the home to wrestle, romp, and share adventures with. He gets along well with other dogs and enjoys having a canine companion to help bring out his playful spirit. Koda has also lived successfully with cats and has even been caught playing with their toys, proving just how easygoing and adaptable he can be. He does experience some carsickness on longer trips, but this is easily managed with Dramamine when needed. Because of his gentle and sensitive nature, Koda would thrive in a calm home without small children, where he can enjoy a predictable routine and plenty of companionship. As an Anatolian mix, Koda can be protective of his home and may resource guard his space with unfamiliar visitors. For this reason, he needs an adopter who understands guardian-breed traits and is willing to manage introductions appropriately and advocate for his success. Koda is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. He is being fostered in a home in Seguin, Texas. If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate dog who loves both snuggles and playtime, Koda may be the perfect addition to your family. To see more pictures and videos, copy and paste this link. Story
Marmalade aka Lady is a true lady. At around 3-4 years old, Marmalade is an old soul. She's calm, gentle, and incredibly easy to live with. House trained Walks beautifully on a leash Great with other dogs—but doesn't need one Happy to relax at your feet after a walk Wonderful family companion Would be perfect for retirees or anyone looking for a low-maintenance best friend. She even showed off her Anatolian instincts recently by alerting her foster to a snake in the yard. She'll happily watch over her family while still being the sweetest girl you'll ever meet. Marmalade isn't the life of the party... She's the one quietly making your life better every single day.inc She was found as a stray South East of Austin. The finders looked and looked for her family but no one came forward. She was skinny and flea ridden but she stayed happy and unjudging. She had not been treated kindly by people but she still wanted to show people she was willing to give them her heart. Lady would love to be welcomed into your home. She plays politely with doggie friends. She is house trained and crate trained. She is up to date on her vaccines and spayed. Lady is being fostered in Austin, Tx. but can be transported to the PNW for additional transport fee of $200. If you would like to meet her, virtually, fill out our application. https://www.centraltexasruffugees.org/copy-of-foster

Story
Luna came to me 4 years ago when she was 8 months old. She was roaming free in the country but was very sick. I took her to the vet and got her healed up and she never left. I have a chihuahua at the time and they got along until we moved into the city. Once Luna was no longer able to run free out in the country and was confined to a backyard with my chihuahua, they started having trouble and she’s recently been aggressive toward him. Luna is a playful and sweet dog. She loves to play, be pet, play fetch. She’s good with my baby and my toddler. She is good with my other chihuahua and all the random dogs I’ve taken her around as well. She is not good with chickens. She would do great with a large area to run and play.

Story
Sinead is an absolutely lovely, lovey girl. She’s a large dog and truly believes all of her should be on your lap. She’s lives for treats and belly rubs. She will also give you nose boops. She has grown up with her sister but hasn’t had much interaction with other dogs. She will need some socialization in that way. She does NOT like cats. If Sinead were to be an only pet, she would be absolutely devoted. She is smart and would be easy to train if given the opportunity. We believe her to be a mix of Anatolian and German shepherd. I’ve included a picture with her sister, Siobhan to illustrate how we arrived at this conclusion. (She is also available.) We are heartbroken to have to part with her, but our schedules no longer allow us to give the girls the attention they deserve and need. I can’t live with the idea of them being crated for so long during the day. Please feel free to reach out to me. I will happily answer any questions. I just want to find her a great home.

Story
|Santiago is a striking dog with a mostly white coat and a unique mix of white, tan, and grey on his face. He looks like a blend of Shepherd, Anatolian or Pyrenees, and Great Pyrenees, and carries himself with a gentle, thoughtful presence. At around 50 pounds, he’s a medium-large dog with a calm energy that makes him a steady companion. In the care of a foster home, Santiago has shown that he can settle when given space, patience, and quiet encouragement. He is comfortable in a household with other dogs and doesn’t react to normal activity or people moving around, showing that he can learn to feel safe in a calm, structured environment. Car rides are still a bit overwhelming, and new experiences can be intimidating for him, but with a gentle guide, Santiago is beginning to show curiosity and trust. He is not destructive and adjusts well when left alone in a secure, quiet space. Santiago is looking for a patient home that can continue to help him gain confidence, offering calm reassurance and gentle guidance. With the right family, he has the potential to blossom into a loving, loyal companion.
