Story
Macie is a mellow and friendly companion dog and would make a great family dog with her calm demeanor. She's not the type of girl that requires a ton of exercise and play to have her needs meet. Macie would be just as happy to spend the day following her people around and being near them. Come to the shelter to learn more about this special girl.Pets are complex beings and prior to adoption, interested adopters will be counseled by a staff member to discuss the specific needs for each animal. This will include reviewing all known medical and behavior information.** Please note that some animals will receive numerous inquiries, sometimes more than we can process. Story
Hi, I'm Puma,I sure hope you are looking for a great young dog to help make your home complete. If that is so, then stop looking, you found her. I am pretty shy when I first meet new people but all I need is a bit of attention to build my confidence and I will shine. I don't live with children but I have been around them and I know to just stay calm and relax. I like dogs in my pack and I will play but I would prefer to chill out and relax. I am what you might call laid-back!When my foster family takes me out for a walk I stick pretty close to them because there are a lot of street dogs and they scare me a bit. It is much better when I walk with my pack. I don't have many toys but give me a nice marrow bone and I will be busy all day! Cats are not my thing, unless they like to be chased then I am all in.Oh did I mention that I love to swim? It is the best thing when we go to the beach and I get to play in the water. I'm in heaven then. The car ride there makes me a bit nervous so I don't look out the window or anything. I just wait until we are at the beach then I am fine.I am pretty good with my basic commands like Sit, Come and of course, come eat! I know I still have lots to learn but I hope my new family will be ready to teach me how to be the best dog I can be. If it sounds like we could be a match then fill in the application and we can meet on a Zoom call.I am all yours,Puma To get more information go to https://hope4lapawz.org/adopt and click on the dog's photo. Story
Courtesay post for Rockys Great Dane Rescue   My name is Lola and let me tell you, I have had a rough go at life. I am looking for a new home that has adults only, no young children. I do not like other dogs either; my previous foster home said I am okay around cats.   I was pulled from a high-kill shelter and adopted, but SURPRISE, I was pregnant, and no-one knew it. The shelter told the rescue I was spayed, but apparently not! I had three beautiful puppies and it really made me sad to see them all leave.   I had a wonderful home and family waiting for me in Washington State, which is where I am now. However, I am not the right fit for this family because I do not like their kids, and I have not been nice to other dogs. I belong in a home where there are no children or dogs, and not a lot of visitors.   Now, all the good stuff about me… I love long walks and I am leash-trained. I love laying on the couch watching movies next to my person, sunbathing in the yard, carrying around my favorite stuffed animal and car rides! I know how to Sit, Stay, Drop it, and Go to Bed. I am house-broken and do not make any messes or have accidents in the house.   The shelter said that I am 6 years old, but the Rescue thinks I am about 4.5 years old and I weigh about 100 pounds.   I know the right home is out there for me. Please someone step up that can help this sweet baby.   Adoption link for LaRue https://form.jotform.com/51994996709176 You can contact us directly at info@dogdiggityrescue.com, or fill out and application at  https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-ls-dog-diggity/  L & S Dog Diggity Rescue is headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets.
