Story
MEET ABBIE, the sweetest girl on the planet! Abbie is a Plott Hound/Great Dane mix (we think), and she is about 19 months old. She was rescued from a scary California shelter, where she was put on the euthanasia list for lack of space. Abbie is quiet and mellow. She has a calming presence, and will turn a lot of heads with her long legs and easygoing disposition. She has been great around other dogs and is simply a gem. Abbie weighed about 60 lbs at the shelter but she was thin, so we estimate she could get up to at least 70 lbs. Please email for an application. She needs a foster home or a forever home.

Story
In foster in Tumwater, WA APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. SABRINA is a gorgeous black Great Dane…we believe her to be purebred. We gave her a DOB 5/3/2021 (best guess by the vet). She is 88.6#. She is now spayed, vaccinated, and heart worm negative. She is delightfully happy…just loves everyone with enthusiasm. Yes, she does need some training but she is fast to learn. Sabrina is doing great on the leash. We do not know if she is house trained. She is respectful of fences... however, she can jump straight up to see what is on the other side. LOL She is curious about everything. SABRINA gets along with other dogs but can be a bit overwhelming with her size and energy. One of Sabrina's most fun is WATER!!! She loves the hose and loves to have the water run all over her. It makes it difficult to fill the water bucket...LOL. Even though she is large, I have had her in the house for a little bit… she sniffed around and looked into boxes, bags, and cupboards but got into no trouble. I did have a couple of my house dogs inside, too. Sabrina was pleased to meet them then laid down on the floor and enjoyed the coolness of the house. She was fine with the 3 cats in the house! My "dog training" cat doesn't see size as a problem... she came up to Sabrina and rubbed against her. Sabrina had no reaction. Sabrina’s story is that she was found wondering the streets by a local church. A good Samaritan eyed her and recognized how skinny she was and how hot it is in TX. She couldn’t let it go. She rounded her up into the back seat, which took up the whole seat, and asked around the church. No one had ever seen the dog before. She did everything to find the owner…no luck. No microchip, no tag, no collar. This is a very common happening when people want to “drop off” a dog to get rid of it, they will pick a church. Sabrina will be a fun dog but I do NOT recommend having her around young children. Let the kids fit the dog. She needs room to run and play. We have worked with her on the leash and asked her to get in and out of the horse trailer side door (it's narrow) and she jumped right in when asked and waited until she was asked to come out. She is willing to learn...you just have to teach. Check out our YouTube Video: https://youtu.be/v-jULxoCf_s Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. You can also go to our Facebook page... https://www.facebook.com/Pet-Central-SATX-866684826744181/ and LIKE us to help us out. After we review your application, we will contact you, and you'll have the opportunity to find out more from their foster family or the rescue. If you experience any issues filling out the application you can contact us directly at shaynerescue@gmail.com. This is ONLY if you have problems applying. If you have not applied, you will not receive a response so please only email if you have any issues applying. Adoption Fees The adoption fee includes transportation to WA/OR. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting. All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog. HOW ABOUT FOSTERING! If you are not in the position to afford a puppy/dog but still want to be an important factor in dog rescue, we recommend fostering. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees while saving a life and enjoying the love of a canine companion. We are always in need of good fosters. You can sign up to foster at this link: https://shaynesrescue.com/foster-application/ This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose. Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.

Story
Welcome Reesaw to CCPAL Rescue. She is an 18-month-old Great Dane mix dog. She weighs in at 102 pounds. She is good with other dogs and came in with an older Great Dane named Planter. Reesaw does pull on leash but we will be working with that. She is moderately active and would be fine with a moderately active family. She is a good balance between active and couch potato. She is good with people and will bond deeply with her person. Great Danes are typically a little shy and they warm up and bond deeply to their family. She does fit this characteristic. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Someone who has owned an XL dog or a Great Dane would be preferable. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 400 and transport is 180. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Welcome Jinx to CCPAL Rescue. He is a 19-month-old Great Dane/Greyhound is our best guess. He is very sweet. He weighs about 70 pounds but is tall and lean. He loves men and is friendly with strangers. He knows sit, good on a leash and good in a kennel. His owner went into hospice and can no longer care for Jinx. Jinx is looking for his forever home. This is a fantastic dog and some lucky family will have a great companion. He appears to be potty trained. He goes in his outside kennel. He doesn’t jump up and is decent on a leash. He knows his name and is very attentive. He loves men naturally but accepts all people. He isn’t too wiggly so he would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. This is a larger dog but he has a wonderful temperament so you will not have to worry with other people or anything. He would be fine going to any social place and strangers petting him without permission. He is lower shedding and not over the top. He is good with other dogs and would be a great companion if you liked to walk, hike or jog. He is an amazing dog and we are fortunate to be looking for his forever home. He is neutered, healthy and ready for his forever home. Anyone who likes a large dog will love this boy. He is not timid like the great danes but is long and larger like one. He will be a head turner anywhere you take him. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is $300 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions.
