Story
Meet Scooby. He is a sweet boy with a great disposition. He gets along with all dogs and is very playful. He loves to cuddle and he would climb into your lap if he could. He would do best with room to run and somebody to hang with. He was released by his first family to the Benton County Shelter. His second family didn't have a yard so he spent a lot of his time there in a kennel in the garage. His third family had an enclosed yard with a stacked wall as part of the enclosure. He was able to scale the wall and get out. He has great recall so when he did get out he would come when he was called. The neighbors were not friendly so they thought it best that he come here, I have 2 fenced acres with a 6' chain link fence and have had no problems with him getting out here. He is fun. sweet and loving and would make a great family member. Story
Location: Seattle, WA (adopter must be within 2–3 hours) DOB: 2/26/2021 People love to comment on how big Great Danes are—but Ranger isn’t just big, he’s a GREAT DANE. Weighing in at an impressive 185 lbs and standing 38” at the shoulders, he’s a gentle giant through and through. The bigger the dog, the bigger the love, and Ranger is all about kisses, cuddles, and that classic Dane lean. Despite his size, he truly believes he’s a lap dog and will very gently perch himself right beside (or on) you. Ranger is generally calm and easygoing, with occasional playful moments. He loves his people and thrives on companionship. He enjoys regular walks, though he can get overly excited when he sees other dogs or squirrels—continued leash training and guidance with dog interactions will be important, as he’s a lot of dog when excitement kicks in. He has lived as an only dog but has done well with visiting dogs in his home. A meet-and-greet with any resident dogs would be required. Cats are unknown. Because Ranger loves being near his humans, he would do best in a home where someone works from home or has a hybrid schedule. Stairs are challenging for him, so a home with minimal stairs is strongly preferred. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, larger-than-life companion who will happily lean into your heart (and your space), Ranger may be your perfect match. Story
Welcome Reesaw to CCPAL Rescue. She is an 18-month-old Great Dane mix dog. She weighs in at 102 pounds. She is good with other dogs and came in with an older Great Dane named Planter. Reesaw does pull on leash but we will be working with that. She is moderately active and would be fine with a moderately active family. She is a good balance between active and couch potato. She is good with people and will bond deeply with her person. Great Danes are typically a little shy and they warm up and bond deeply to their family. She does fit this characteristic. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Someone who has owned an XL dog or a Great Dane would be preferable. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 400 and transport is 180. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Welcome Cheeto. He is a 6 month old Great Dane mix. He is 67 pounds right now and may be 80 pounds full grown. Cheeto is a great dog. He loves treats and will sit when asked to with a treat. He loves the lady kennel workers. He is timid which is common in this breed but he is very friendly and affectionate. He would be great with someone that knows and understands this wonderful breed. He was found on the streets of Texas and was taken in by a good Samaritan. He can go with children. We like them to 8 or older. He would love to be a companion for the right family. He will love being a house dog and he is energetic but not for too much time and he settles down nicely. If you have a fenced back yard, he can get enough exercise exploring it. He could also go on walks. He does pull some but he really wants to do what you are asking so consistency with him will work wonders. He is currently neutered, vaccinated, healthy and ready for his forever home. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
If you’ve ever watched It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia and thought, “You know what this situation needs? A massive, lovable dog,” then congratulations—you’ve found Pepe Silvia. Much like his namesake, Pepe is a presence. Big? Yes. Mysterious? Only in the sense that you’ll never fully understand how one dog can be this handsome and this doofy at the same time. At just 1 year old and 87 lbs of premium fluff, he’s basically a walking hug who believes personal space is a myth invented by the mailroom.Pepe Silvia is an absolute love and a half—deeply into snacks, very into you, and fully committed to his toy collection like it’s an evidence board covered in red string. He’s goofy, affectionate, and has that gentle giant energy where the size just means more dog to cuddle, ya dig? If you’re ready for a big, sweet, snack-motivated best friend who will gladly crash your couch and your heart, Pepe Silvia is here—and yes, he definitely exists. The dog adoption fee is $90. They come spayed/neutered, microchipped, first set of vaccines including DAPP (parvo combo), Bordatella (kennel cough), have been dewormed with Pyrantel, and have been treated with selamectin for fleas. Our website updates every hour, but some animals may be adopted faster than we can get them updated online. If you`d like to check on the status of an animal, please call us at 360-352-2510. This is especially important if you are viewing this animal on any site other than Animal Services` website.
