Story
Meet Shep
Shep is a gorgeous four year old Aussie Doodle. His parents are looking to rehome him and think he would be happier in an active home with a fenced yard. Shep is four years old. He has only lived in a home, and his parents will continue to foster him until his new family is found.
Shep has a lot of energy, and an active family or person will be the perfect home. He loves to play, he loves to run and he loves going for walks. If he’s not getting enough exercise, he gets a little blue. If you think about it, Aussie Doodles combine two high energy and highly intelligent breeds into one beautiful dog, so it makes sense that Shep will need to live an active life with things to do. Shep LOVES people. He’s great with kids and does well with most dogs. He lives with another dog in the home and the two play endlessly. He is an easy leash walker. Shep is housetrained and crate trained. Shep will use his crate to calm himself down. He loves the feeling of a den and can often be found sleeping in tight spaces. When the Aussie part comes out, Shep can be a little quirky, guarding (or controlling) his resources and things around him, but this is easily corrected. He also has an independent streak, but he will always love his people. Shep is loyal. Shep can be a little prey driven and we think a home with no cats would be best They are just too much fun to chase and herd. Shep is friendly, fun, zany, smart, athletic, affectionate, companionable, and playful. He weighs 50 lbs. and is fully vetted and neutered. He has been well taken care of and loved. As his parents age, Shep needs a more active lifestyle to keep him happy and healthy. If looking for an Aussie Doodle who’s outgrown the puppy stage but has a full life ahead and can easily transition into a home, get your application in for Shep. He’s a wonderful boy.
