A foster-to-adopt option is available for me, giving us the chance to get to know each other before making it official! Meet Paxton! This 9-year-old miniature poodle is a senior with plenty of personality. He can sometimes show a bit of attitude, so we recommend a home without small children. Paxton enjoys walks on a leash but would thrive with a small, dog-approved fenced yard where he can safely explore and stretch his legs. He gets along well with other dogs and would make a wonderful companion for the right family. Paxton weighs 8lbs. and is approximately 9 years old (est. birth date 01/29/2016). Paxton has been neutered, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. Paxton's adoption fee is $85. If you want more information about Paxton, please submit a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog. At this time, meeting our dogs is by appointment only. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet. A foster-to-adopt option is available for me, giving us the chance to get to known each other before making it official! Victor is a precious miniature poodle mix. He came to us with an injured leg that required amputation. He has adjusted very well and loves to run. Victor is crate trained and can walk on a leash. His ideal home requires a secure fenced yard that is appropriate for a small breed dog. Victor will need a home with no small children. He is very loving, but can be protective of his people and toys. Victor does not have a bite history, but needs a family that understands small dogs with an attitude. He is so very loving and loves to give kisses. If you’re interested in learning more about this baby, please apply to furkids.org.

Meet Curly! He is an 11 months old, 40 lb poodle mix who is very sweet and friendly. He is very playful and loves to play with other dogs. He is getting used to his crate but doesn't like to be left alone for very long. He knows how to sit and is very motivated with treats. He is very smart and will be easy to train. He is still growing and has a lot of puppy energy but also loves to sleep in your lap. He gets very excited and likes to jump so we are working better manners. Curly is very vocal so you will know when someone is at the door! He is great with kids and very gentle when taking treats. He is doing great going potty outside but needs to be let out often. Curly will be such a sweet, cuddly family dog. Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption.
