Story
Romeo, a breathtakingly beautiful 5-month-old Miniature Aussiedoodle who is looking for his forever home. Romeo is a "true companion" who bonds strongly with his owners. He is a "blue merle" with a stunning coat of sparkling glacier white, deep warm grays, and jet black patches. Beyond his physical beauty and his China Blue eyes, he is an extremely loving pup who's eager to please. He is happy and playful, he would make a wonderful walking or jogging buddy, yet he is just as happy curling up in your lap at the end of the day. Romeo gets along well with other dogs and is even fine with cats. We believe he would be a dream companion for a single individual, a couple, or a family with children who would like a 4 legged sibling to play with!. Romeo's only wish is to be a cherished member of a family where he is truly loved. He is an extremely intelligent pup who is eager to learn, now all he needs is a family to make his dreams come true! Please let me know if you would like more information about this wonderful fellow. He is currently with his foster family in Kentucky and will arrive in the New England area via pet transport once he is adopted. His adoption fee which includes his transport is $875. He is Neutered, current on his vaccinations, heartworm negative, and up to date on heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. If you would like to learn more and are interested in adopting the first step is to complete an adoption application. Please contact us at MMAY@KYLABRESCUE.COM to request an application or for any further information.

Story
Penelope is a stunning Aussiedoodle rescue with a brilliant mind and a heart of gold. We met her through a clinic after her previous owner realized Penelope’s high-octane energy wasn't the right match for their older son on the spectrum. Now, this athletic girl is looking for her true "forever" home! Her Vibe: Penelope is a "work hard, play hard" girl. While she isn't a frisbee fan, she is a fetch pro and lives to learn new tricks! Though she had a hip injury in her first home and has slight hip dysplasia, it doesn't slow her down—she’s a resilient girl ready for adventure. The Ideal Match: Mature Home: Penelope needs a toddler-free environment. She thrives with older kids or adults. One-and-Only: She prefers to be your only pet. Company: She has separation anxiety and needs a 6–7 hour limit alone (up to 8.5 only if well-exercised). If you have a fenced yard and love "velcro dogs," Penelope is your girl. She’s healthy, up-to-date on care, and ready to be your shadow!

Story
Fatima is a sweet, gentle soul who is looking for a cozy, loving place to live out her golden years. Fatima was found as a stray and brought to us by our friends over at Thomas J. O'Connor. Because she was a stray, we don't have any background history on her, but her resilient spirit shines through! 💖 Personality: She is incredibly social with people, loves to run around, and absolutely adores making new human friends. She is not a big fan of other dogs, and wants to be your one and only. ⏳ Adjustment Period: Fatima is going to need some extra time and patience while she adjusts to her new home and her new people. Given that time and space, she will surely be your new best friend! 🩺 Senior Care: She is a mature lady with some age-related changes that our staff would love to talk to you more about before adoption, just to ensure she gets the best care possible. ✨ Come down to meet Fatima today—she is ready to meet you! Story
OTHER PETS: Raisin is nervous around other dogs, and will likely do best in a home where she can be the star of the show without the stress of other animal interactions. She will pass by other dogs without issue, but will bark and growl to create space when they get too close for her liking. [Should Be Only Pet]OWNER EXPERIENCE: Experience with positive reinforcement or willingness to learn, Raisin would likely be a great first time dog for someone who can be committed to a routine grooming schedule and allowing her to slowly decompress. [First Dog]KIDS: Raisin is a generally a relaxed and friendly dog, but she does have her moments of feeling worried where she would benefit from a more predictable, quiet environment. She could potentially make a good family dog for kids that are old enough to understand how to interact with her appropriately, when to give her space, and active supervision by adults is crucial while watching body language. To learn more about body language: https://www.tjoconnoradoptioncenter.com/resources/dog-resources [10+ Must Meet First]ACTIVITY LEVEL: Raisin has been a fairly laid-back dog during her stay here in the shelter, but as she settles and becomes more comfortable in a home environment it's possible that she could become more active and playful. At the moment, though, she's more than happy to jump up onto her favorite person's lap and watch the world from afar. Providing regular/appropriate exercise and playtime combined with mental enrichment such as food puzzles and games will help meet her needs. [Couch Potato / Good Walking Buddy]VETERINARY CARE: [Routine]LEVEL OF TRAINING NEEDED: Positive reinforcement will help Raisin learn new skills and fun tricks while building confidence, and will go a long way in increasing the bond with her humans. [Minimal]GROOMING: Due to her coat type and texture, Raisin will require routine brushing in order to ensure that she does not become matted. Professional grooming appointments every 6-8 weeks will also be needed to keep her clean and comfortable. [Professional Grooming]June 19, 2026, 5:47 pm
